Captain Trips, goes home : Ebola.

Ebola isn't our Captain Trips, You have just reminded me that I want to re read that book smile "The Stand" (1).  It's just plain sick , and I am not a medical expert , but I am a bit *** FEARFUL of the Ebola virus . The first known Ebola patient on U.S. soil, Dr. Kent Brantly, was flown into Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, today after contracting the disease in Liberia during the latest outbreak in West Africa which has claimed the lives of over 700.Reports indicate that there's a percentage of folks who survive with the correct treatment.  From the moment that it was  reported – because they could do it in secret, means that it is not one infected, will probably infected hundreds Ebola, infernal propagators that the NSA, CIA and FBI know who go walking in the American streets. Th irrationality of this is getting to me . We have been told that  the people with the Ebola can not be transmitted through the air, only by blood or fluids. But THEY have been infected with the white protective clothing from head to toe (yes, like in the movies), plus it also has been staff with the same type of hazmat suit with gloved hands. This has stoked concerns among the American public that Ebola could now spread inside the U.S., especially since the virus has been difficult to contain in Africa.“It sounds like the perfect script for a horror movie: A virus with no vaccine and no cure kills hundreds of people; despite containment efforts, it keeps spreading, but it’s actually all too real in West Africa, where doctors have said Ebola is now ‘out of control,’” wrote Sheila M. Eldred for Discovery News.Hospitals in America may not fare any better considering that antibiotic-resistant “nightmare bacteria” spread from one medical facility in 2001 to 46 states by 2013.  Conspiracy theory ? Take note , Model State Emergency Health Powers Act drafted in 2001 and President Obama’s latest executive order which mandates the apprehension and detention of Americans who merely show signs of “respiratory illness.”   Conspiracy theories, which in general have gained more legitimacy than ever, say the killer Ebola virus is really a planned, staged, and healthcare scam of an outbreak. With no known cure or vaccine, conspiracy theories claims include, a ploy to get folks to get checkups to the the virus being a CIA-manufactured weapon to a cover for “cannibalistic rituals.” How can we believe it's safe to have these people in the U.S. if the CDC won't tell us how they caught the disease? They knew the dangers, they were experienced medical personnel, and they still got it. I don't get it.

NOTES AND COMMENTS:
*** Ebola, according to the World Health Organization, is a disease with a “case fatality rate of up to 90 percent,” passed through close contact and bodily fluids. It has claimed more than 600 lives in Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Guinea in an outbreak that health officials believe may have originated in the latter country as early as January, according to AP reporting. (1). The Stand, by Stephen King. Watch but better, read.
