**FOX-Y TROT

**FOX-Y TROT
I would not be writing anything about FOX news  had it not been for the 20 million dollar settlement that  Gretchen Carlson received because  of her allegations of sexual harassment by then-(1)>>Chairman Roger Ailes.Carlson, whose contract with (1.2)>>Fox News expired in June, says her refusal of sexual advances led to recrimination that included a pay cut, a shift to a lower-profile afternoon show, and the lack of chances to conduct important interviews. Ailes initially said Carlson's "allegations are false" and that she had sued in retaliation after her contract wasn't renewed. But two weeks after the suit was filed, Ailes resigned from his post as chairman and CEO of Fox News. There is something really funny about this , as far as allegations of sexual harassment , (2)>>FOX news has a long record of problems .Roger Ailes other partner is the famed (2.2)>>Rupert Murdoch  like Ailes has also seen scandal .The FOX news chairmans both have had a  relentless pursuit of power has worked in the United States, where neither the Federal Communications Commission nor Congress has mustered the courage to challenge runaway media consolidation or call Murdoch to account. Free Press has asked the FCC to assess the company’s fitness to continue holding 27 television broadcast licenses in light of the widening scandal, and continues to urge Congress to conduct hearings into the allegations of News Corp.’s “rampant law breaking.” The news was delivered in person by Rupert Murdoch, the 85-year-old media mogul who started Fox News with Roger Ailes 20 years ago. It was an unexpected visit, and with stunned employees listening in Fox’s Midtown Manhattan headquarters, Mr. Murdoch announced that Mr. Ailes was out as chairman and chief executive. Mr. Murdoch himself would be taking over Fox News in the interim. Fox News has been as politically significant in the US as the Sun has been in the UK, with one important difference. As a branch of Murdochs shadow political empire, the Sun has, in part at least, served the interests of his business empire. Fox News did not need to serve other Murdoch commercial interests. With a handsome annual profit, it is in its own right one of the empire’s most lucrative businesses. With Fox News, Murdoch’s two great passions – media and right-wing politics – have come together in perfect harmony.
FOX NEWS A SEXIST ENVIRONMENT ? .
These are the Fox News ladies you know today.
they remind me of of robots , from the
Steford Wives . Flawless , perfect
and same smile .
It does not escape me over the years that FOX news is a bit of a "sexist" environment  considering a number of young female anchors it has brought out as part of a marketing scheme . I don't want to put women down in this rant . Women often have fallen in a profession trap , that they all have to look pretty , have on the tightest , most colorful dress just to spark an eye for ratings . It does not work for me . A modest female anchor may not always depend on "looks" , but rather honesty , and modesty . Gretchen Carlson , most of the female hosts for FOX were the subject of a Howard Stern "hottest line up" .
Howard Stern took his love for Fox News anchors to a new level by creating a “Hottest Women of Fox News” bracket in the spirit of the famous NCAA basketball tournament. Other Fox News anchors on the list include: Julie Banderas, Shannon Bream, Gretchen Carlson, Ainsley Earhardt, Harris Faulkner, Lea Gabrielle, Jenna Lee, Martha McCallum, Maria Molina, Heather Nauert, Dana Perino and Andrea Tantaros.TV Newser reported that Mr. Stern’s media editor, J.D. Harmeyer, recently deemed Ms. Kooiman the “hottest chick ever on Fox News.”
Wondering,  if hiring young pretty women on FOX  to host its programs were hand  picked for Ailes own tastes ?  is a matter of debate .  I noted that the female anchors are some not  all blond , blue eyes , some have provocative clothing, dresses , high heels shoes . You have to look closely ,  Not all of them, Greta Van Susteren is the only woman who still dress very formal and in pants. Susteren is more reserved as in professionalism if you to compare { forgive words here , but there are bimbos } other anchors . I also have great respect for Harris Faulkner who is the only  African American female who also is a great professional . Those two women are FOX news only saving grace .

I conclude with Gretchen Carlson's words on this subject :
"I am gratified that 21st Century Fox took decisive action after I filed my Complaint. I'm ready to move on to the next chapter of my life in which I will redouble my efforts to empower women in the workplace. I want to thank all the brave women who came forward to tell their own stories and the many people across the country who embraced and supported me in their #StandWithGretchen. All women deserve a dignified and respectful workplace in which talent, hard work and loyalty are recognized, revered and rewarded."

NOTES AND COMMENTS:
**FOX-Y TROT. Throwing my own spin on FOX . Pardon my own sexist description . I though I was writing a serious satire . Sex harassment is wrong . I believe women deserve to be paid , and treated fairly in their professionalism . Fox-y -Trot may be a derogatory . In case you don't know what it is . The Urban dictionary defines is asfemale persons preforming manly jobs whilst in bikinis, in slow motion". Though FOX news female anchors don't parade in bikini's , the line up best describes how a news channel may take up the ratings game with pretty young women anchors to host shows . I noticed it on FOX over the years . But if you incorporate sex in the news . You ask then , "how can news be taken seriously?".
(1)>>Chairman Roger AilesOn July 21, Fox News’ parent company announced that Ailes would be resigning his position at Fox News butwould receive $60 million and continue to work “as a consultant” with 21st Century Fox. Ailes’ ousting from the company follows a sexual harassment lawsuit filed against him by former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson. According to The Washington Post25 women have come forward to make similar harassment claims against Ailes. The New York Times reported on July 23 that Fox News may have “a broader problem in the workplace,” that extends beyond Ailes after at least “a dozen women” told the Times that “they had experienced some form of sexual harassment or intimidation at Fox News or the Fox Business Network, and half a dozen more who said they had witnessed it. Two of them cited Mr. Ailes and the rest cited other supervisors. (1.2)>>Fox News. I watch this news channel. I am guilty . I like to watch both sides , CNN and FOX . That's how I view "fair and balanced ".  Fox News was genuinely original – a 24-hour conservative-populist propaganda channel, where right-wing opinion and slanted news, described in Orwellian fashion as “fair and balanced”, were delivered in a highly entertaining fashion.   (2)>>FOX news has a long record of problems. Four years ago, there was a flurry of headlines when “Fox and Friends” hosts Gretchen Carlson and Brian Kilmeade had an on-air spat, an incident that was all Kilmeade’s fault. It started when Kilmeade made a sexist comment complaining that, “Women are everywhere.” “The O’Reilly Factor” has a regular segment where they send anchor Jesse Watters out on the street to mock and bully random people for “comedy,” and, unsurprisingly, a lot of that involves sexual harassmentYou’d think Bill O’Reilly would be a little more careful about that sort of thing, since he had to settle out of court after an employee taped him sexually harassing her. But that’s clearly not a problem for Fox News, where taking this demeaning attitude towards women seems normal. (2.2)>>Rupert Murdoch . For the past two decades, Rupert Murdoch allowed Fox News chief Roger Ailes to occupy one of the most unique — and powerful — perches in American politics and media: running a right-wing political operation under the guise of a 24-hour news network. As long as the profits rolled in, Murdoch virtually never meddled in Ailes’s world
