Operation Warp Speed : Vaccine quagmire ???

Scientific American in June of 2020 warned of the risks of rushing a vaccine . [ see Article : shorturl.at/iosMU . Either case the science was ignored . Partly because what invested in this vaccine is more a marketing venture that may not be beneficial to the rest of the population , but Scientific American says further .  "But there are risks that come with a fast-tracked vaccine delivered end of this year, not the least of which are the risks related to the safety of the vaccine itself" . (1)>>Rushing a Vaccine is one of the most puzzling aspects of the Covid nightmare. It's just a reality. You're not going to get everyone vaccinated in 6 mos from now . President Donald Trump announced a goal to develop 300 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine by January, enough to protect most Americans.  The vaccines that have been approved , they don't have enough for the entire population . Then there are distribution issues that will come up. Then you have people who are skeptical of vaccines in general who won't take it and you have people who are skeptical of this vaccine in particular who won't take it. And then you have idiots who have no problem with the vaccine but figure that they don't need it since everyone else is going to get it. If you only get 40-50% of the country to take it you can't get back to normal.  (1.2)>>That's just reality. I think we may be getting a tad bit ahead of ourselves. We are in for what will be a pretty bumpy winter, and there is no denying the fact that logistics will be a challenge. Remember the issues we had rolling out testing to a scale to serve the entire US population? I recall hearing some flowery assessments around those capabilities as well. And meanwhile we still have not reached an adequate level of testing across the country. People should see this as reason to hope and reason to double down their efforts. In the meantime for right now, let's focus on the immediate future and controlling the virus before most people have the vaccine.
AstraZeneca and Pfizer are not the only ones in production of a vaccine . How the vaccine was developed seems to be a "mystery" .The vaccines — one produced by US company Moderna and the other through a partnership between Pfizer and Germany’s BioNTech — both recorded efficacy rates higher than 94 per cent in clinical trials, raising global hopes they can provide a route out of the pandemic. Financial Times reported a quote from Alexander Edwards, associate professor of biomedical technology at Reading university, says this curious note about the concoction : “It is notoriously difficult for outsiders to find out exactly what’s inside a vaccine,”“But how it is put together can have a big effect on how it works.”  The Biggest question is what is exactly in the shot ? That keep's a person "somewhat immune" to Covid?  (2)>>Deeply disturbing, as well, is the news that the “positive news” about vaccine success and development has been generated by press releases from the companies that manufacture them: ” . . .. But the companies announced the findings in news releases, not in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and did not disclose the detailed data that would allow outside experts to evaluate their claims. Therefore, the results cannot be considered conclusive. The figures on effectiveness may change as the studies continue. . . .”It is important to note that, to date, none of the vaccines being developed for the U.S. market has been proven to be effective in preventing Covid-19 disease. Early stage clinical trials have shown what appear to be promising signals; multiple vaccines have triggered production of important antibodies in people who have been immunized. But data generated in a few hundred people aren’t enough to determine whether a vaccine will actually fend off illness

Possible Chinese origin of the Pfizer Vaccine ?

Putting out that China was the  (3)>>"source" of the outbreak of the Covid -19 virus . It's possible that that China was far ahead into the development of a vaccine . The Wuhan outbreak started maybe last December ? Knowing China it has been working on Coronaviruses studies at the Wuhan lab .Dr Richard Ebright, an infectious disease expert at Rutgers University (USA), has alerted the public to evidence that WIV and US-based researchers were genetically engineering bat viruses to investigate their ability to infect humans, using commonly used methods that leave no sign or signature of human manipulation Ebright flagged up a scientific paper published in 2017 by WIV scientists, including Shi Zhengli, the virologist leading the research into bat coronaviruses, working in collaboration with Peter Daszak of the US-based EcoHealth Alliance. Funding was shared between Chinese and US institutions, the latter including the US National Institutes of Health and USAID. The researchers report having conducted virus infectivity experiments where genetic material is combined from different varieties of SARS-related coronaviruses to form novel ‘chimeric’ versions. . . .”  (4)>>China's study of these type of Viruses may have  attempted to create vaccines way ahead of a possible pandemic as early 2017. It seems interesting that Pfizer developed a vaccine so quickly since the study of Covid -19 information was found at the source of the Chinese government . Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical Group Co., which in March made an agreement with BioNTech to develop and market the mRNA shot in China, will make an advance payment of 250 million euros ($300 million) for an initial 50 million doses. The German vaccine maker will supply no fewer than 100 million doses for China by the end of 2021, Fosun said in a statement filed with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Wednesday. While the shot is globally known as the one co-developed by Pfizer, the U.S. company is not involved in the agreement. Experimental shots developed by domestic developers including state-owned China National Biotec Group Co. and Sinovac Biotech Ltd. are close to getting approved by Chinese drug regulators, with expectations for 1.6 billion doses to be churned out in 2021.

BIG PHARMA Monopoly on Covid Vaccine.

Only a few weeks after its announcement, Oxford—pressed by the  (5)>>Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation—flipped, and signed an exclusive vaccine deal with AstraZeneca, a UK-Swedish company. AstraZeneca would have sole rights and made no guarantee of low pricesThe issue is not whether the government has legitimate claims on many of the drugs the public now pays for twice (first as a massive permanent research subsidy, then again at huge retail mark-ups that enrich investors and executives). The question is whether we can muster the political power and will to exercise these claims. Doing so begins with recovering a truth the drug industry has successfully consigned to the national memory hole: Medical monopolies, especially federally subsidized ones, were widely considered profoundly un-American for most of this country’s history.American citizen, you have already paid for your novel coronavirus vaccine. Not only have you paid for this future vaccine, you have also paid billions for the research that went into discovering that vaccine. The pharmaceutical companies that accepted all that free money to do that research are going to make millions off your investment. You'll get a jab in the arm. This was true up until the middle decades of the last century when today’s federal research infrastructure was being built. To vaccinate everyone, the world needs as many as 7.8bn doses, as quickly as possible. If the successful vaccine requires more than one dose, or must be given annually, as seems likely, the figure will be higher still. The world will need a near-permanent supply of the vaccine. (6)>>Americans vaccinated this year and next generally will not pay for the vaccine itself, because the federal government has purchased hundreds of millions of doses on patients’ behalf. To consumer advocates, the rules seem nearly ironclad — yet they still fear that surprise vaccine bills will find their way to patients, just as they did with coronavirus testing and treatment earlier this year.
NOT ENOUGH VACCINES !
America is a nation of nearly 300 million people . When the {Plan} Pandemic broke out , the numbers started to surge in March . There was a huge argument between the Trump administration and the state Governors about not having enough test kits for COVID . "Not Enough" for any contact tracing . This seems to be the case with the number of Covid Vaccines . The nation has major issues with quality production of the vaccine(s). As Noted in the news , Pfizer is pushing back on the Trump administration's suggestion that the company is having trouble producing its COVID-19 vaccine, saying it's ready to ship millions more doses – once the government asks for them.Washington Gov. Jay Inslee says the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has told his state that its vaccine allocation "will be cut by 40 percent next week — and that all states are seeing similar cuts." The federal government did not give an explanation, he said."This is disruptive and frustrating," Inslee added. "We need accurate, predictable numbers to plan and ensure on-the-ground success. (7)>>U.S. officials took aim at Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine manufacturing process at a press conference , suggesting the drugmaker had, at last, divulged production hiccups that could scupper efforts to get millions of shots into patients’ arms by year-end. STILL this will not be enough for the entire country.Army Gen. Gustave Perna, the member of Operation Warp Speed responsible for the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, apologized on Saturday for the "miscommunication" with states over the number of doses they will receive next week, AP reports. The general's apology comes after multiple governors said they were told that their states would receive between 25%-40% fewer vaccine doses than originally projected.Although it is increasingly likely that one of the COVID-19 vaccines currently being tested will be approved or receive Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) before the end of the year, experts are increasingly warning that widespread distribution may take a much longer time.
Vaccine Side Effects ?
Technically  (8)>>yes those are side effects but symptoms that are extremely mild like that are normal with most vaccines. WELL we still don't know with rushing these Covid vaccine . The term "clinical trials"  was probably cut short  for political reasons . NEXT are companies we're talking about. Big Pharma, specifically. They are motivated, almost entirely, by financial incentives and disincentives. If the contracts have already been signed, and they are protected from any harm they may cause, we will be the ones paying the difference, with our health, and potentially, with our lives. There have been few reports of side effects . I think the really adverse ones are being hidden from the public just to push this arm shot to the people U.S. health officials closely tracking possible side effects of the first authorized COVID-19 vaccine say they have seen six cases of severe allergic reaction out of more than a quarter million shots given. And then, of course, there is the vocal “anti-vaccine” community that will resist taking the shot under any circumstances. Which I would not blame them.

NOTES AND COMMENTS:

(1)>>Rushing a Vaccine is one of the most puzzling aspects of the Covid nightmare . For a vaccine to be FDA approved, scientists must gather enough data through clinical trials in large numbers of volunteers to prove it is safe and effective at protecting people against a disease. Once the data is collected, FDA advisers usually spend months considering it. Even if there are no snafus and each of the approximately 7,000 U.S. hospitals has an ultracold freezer, they will need to vaccinate 142 million Americans two times, one for each dose.  December 31, 2020, one or more vaccines have been approved by FDA, and hundreds of millions of doses of each are ready to ship. First, the supply chain needs to be filled and the drug delivered to the professionals who will administer it. Pfizer’s product may require ultracold storage at -94ºF. This type of specialized storage is not available in your doctor’s office: it is found in universities and research centers. Any vaccine, if efficacious, works furiously and potently to rev up the body’s immune system. Ideally, the effects are protective, stopping infection and preventing disease. The conditions that form a perfect storm in some, however, can unleash a cyclonic nightmare in others, triggering adverse reactions powerful enough to become illnesses in and of themselves, like Guillain-Barre syndrome. When pharmaceutical products of any kind, not just vaccines, are rushed to market, these rare yet serious side effects are more likely to end up brushed under the rug. (1.2)>>That's just reality. I think we may be getting a tad bit ahead of ourselves. Even if a vaccine is only 20% effective and we have access to it 20% sooner that would add up to a lot of lives saved. Single blind and double blind studies are extremely effective when you are trying to determine if a nicorette patch is effective, however that approach is irresponsible when you are combating a pandemic. Next time anyone spills water on their hardwood floor why not wait and do a study to see if the cloth is perfect and that an unlimited supply is available before cleaning it up. My guess is common sense would kick in … most of the vaccines under test are not harmful in anyway other then they may not be the perfect 10 year vaccine… perhaps it time for the medical world to park their highly educated egos use some common sense here… also come on politicians use some back-bone and step up!!     (2)>>Deeply disturbing, as well, is the news that the “positive news” about vaccine success . Much of the distrust of vaccines (and, by extension, the physicians and scientists who promote them) is driven by widespread misinformation from both online sources and skeptical communities. Contrast how the media outlets are casting a positive picture of the Covid Vaccine with "mild symptoms" .Descriptions of those side effects are beginning to circulate, via news reports and also social media accounts written by trial participants. WE don't really know exactly since the media spin on a positive message to sell the vaccine to the public . There have been reports of adverse effects of the vaccine that seem to covered up, have time to time showed up on social media . Here is a "gem" from Twitter regarding the Swine Flu of the 1970's  The 1976 Swine Flu Epidemic, the Vaccine Shot the CDC Rushed into Mass Production without Testing, the Lies the CDC Told About How Safe it Was, and the Propaganda the CDC Produced to Convince Every Man, Woman and Child to Get the Shot... When 60 Minutes was real journalism.👉 [  https://twitter.com/shot_gangster/status/1335321337640886273]   Remember, vaccine manufacturers aren’t the ones approving their product for mass distribution. That is the job of the FDA. Which begs the question, can you sue the U.S. government if you have an extraordinarily bad reaction to a vaccine? Among the unknowns: To what extent does the vaccine prevent infection vs. simply preventing clinical illness? Can a vaccinated person who becomes infected, but not sick, transmit the virus to someone else? That’s a pivotal factor in forecasting how rapidly the pandemic will be quashed once there is widespread distribution of vaccines.Last week, two health-care workers in the United Kingdom who were among the first batch of people to get the vaccine after it was authorized developed anaphylaxis, a severe allergic response. Both were known to have a history of severe allergic reactions, and both were treated and recovered. A third person reportedly suffered a rapid heartbeat. British authorities issued new guidance saying people with a history of anaphylaxis should consult with their doctor before taking the vaccine. Researchers do not know what substance in the vaccine formula triggered the severe allergic response. (3)>>"source" of the outbreak of the Covid -19 virus IN March of this year, the Pentagon secured remdesivir for treating U.S. service personnel. In FTR  we looked at remdesivir  being tested on rhesus macaques in March of 2019. In August of last year, the CDC  closed down the United States Army Medical Institute of Infectious Diseases, in part because of deficient handling of waste produced by “non-human” primates infected with an Whether the program serves as cover for military research seems a reasonable question to ask, under the circumstances. We conclude with a look at the past–a historical element of biological warfare that reflects on the present. In past programs and posts, we have briefly noted that military and [ostensibly] civilian programs officially involved with “epidemic prevention” might conceal clandestine biological warfare applications designed to create epidemics. The official distinction between “offensive” and “defensive” biological warfare research is academic.unnamed “select agent.” Was that “select agent” Ebola? A bat-borne coronavirus? SARS CoV‑2? (4)>>China's study of these type of Viruses may have  attempted to create vaccines way ahead of a possible pandemic as early 2017. Chinese researchers as early as 2004 were about to begin a human clinical trial of a new severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) vaccine developed in that country, according to a high-ranking government official quoted in a Chinese newspaper. The trial would put them at least 5 to 8 months ahead of scientists in other countries attempting to create their own SARS vaccines, but the head of China's food and drug administration said that testing and manufacturing their vaccine will “take time.” [ see this article👉 https://www.nbcnews.com/id/wbna3541381 ] Remember SARS is actually COVID -19 , its been renamed  by the WHO . IN this context,  China was way ahead , better prepared to cope with the COVID outbreak , mostly wiped it out by March , may have secretly vaccinated its citizens .(5)>>Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation—  There is a thin line between Bill Gates and Dr Fauci . Bill Gates has been on a Conspiracy list for decades for pushing  vaccines , perhaps using experimental medicines in Africa .  I think I would add more pseudoscience mumbo-jumbo to it because they love that stuff. "The microchips operate by magnetic waves. If you immediately apply a rare-earth magnet to the site of the injection and leave it there for half an hour, it attracts the microchip to the surface and prevents it from embedding deep into your body. While it's there on the surface the rare earth magnet degausses the chip and renders it ineffective, after which point it is broken down by your body where it can be drawn out through your skin by one of those detoxifying patches. All you have to do is put the magnet on the injection site for half an hour, then apply a detox patch for one full day, and all the microchips will be gone! Bill Gates doesn't want you to know this! Share it with your friends!"So how did the founder of Microsoft, who has poured billions into global healthcare from the philanthropic foundation he runs with his wife Melinda, become the bogeyman of Covid-19 conspiracy theorists?Alex Jones at an anti-shutdown demonstration in Austin, Texas, chanting “arrest Bill Gates.” A New York-based tech nonprofit falsely rumored to be working with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to implant vaccine microchips in people received so many death threats that it contacted the FBI. And a White House petition demanding the billionaire’s foundation be investigated for “medical malpractice and crimes against humanity” amassed half-a-million signatures in three weeks.BUT IN A BIZZARE WAY Gate's is still giving fuel for the CONSPIRACY . Gates’s contributions to COVID-19 vaccine research include giving the Coalition for Economic Preparedness Innovations and the Gavi Alliance funding to support a $750 million deal with drug maker AstraZeneca for 300 million doses of a vaccine based on research from the University of Oxford. (6)>>Americans vaccinated this year and next generally will not pay for the vaccine itself.  WE keep hearing that the vaccine will be "free" . That may not be exactly true for most Americans , the Health Insurance industry cashing in on a CO-PAY . Operation Warp Speed officials have laid out an aggressive timeline to get nearly all Americans vaccinated by next June. If you're getting the coronavirus vaccine this month or in 2021, you won't have to pay to receive it. The federal government is handling much of the cost in distributing the vaccine, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is taking further steps to make sure all Americans have access to the vaccine at no cost once it's available, the government organization has said. Once that is said and done there is a slight possibility that BIG PHARMA will start to charge Health Care Providers , that could be passed onto the consumer with a big price tag.(7)>>U.S. officials took aim at Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine manufacturing process at a press conference. The decisions still being made about how to prioritize vaccines will dramatically color individuals’ experiences over the next months. But ultimately getting out of purgatory will require reaching herd immunity, which is something we can only achieve collectively. Vaccines can protect individuals, but vaccination as a public-health strategy protects a community. Every person who gets vaccinated is a small step toward herd immunity, toward bringing down the amount of circulating virus. Eventually, we can all go back to schools and dinner parties and concerts. Scientists also do not yet have the data to confirm that the vaccines actually prevent people from spreading the coronavirus asymptomatically in addition to preventing COVID-19 symptoms. (8)>>yes those are side effects but symptoms that are . The vaccine, and likely most others, will require two doses to work, injections that must be given weeks apart, company protocols show. Scientists anticipate that the shots will cause enervating flu-like side effects — including sore arms, muscle aches and fever — that could last days and temporarily sideline some people from work or school.  Society is left with only two other options to close any “vaccination gap” to achieve herd immunity. The first, mandating that everyone take the vaccine, would be politically unacceptable and face resistance that would be difficult to address given the extensive resistance by many to wearing a simple mask. It was not immediately clear what triggered the allergic reactions. Unlike some vaccines, in the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine there are no preservatives or egg products, which have been known to trigger reactions with other types of vaccines. Two health care workers at the same hospital in Alaska developed concerning reactions just minutes after receiving Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine this week, including one staff member who was to remain hospitalized. Health officials said that the cases would not disrupt their vaccine roll out plans and that they were sharing the information for the sake of transparency.
