2014 , year of the "blah".

2014, off to the races , but who will left
to be voted in .
2014 . Is the year of the political blahs . So many are up for re-election , it seems obvious it's going to be a "scandal ridden" year for politicians . To BEGIN with Gov. Christie , his troubles all seem so be spiraling out of control. You don't have to go tune in CNN or FOX just to hear the latest "alert" on the news. It's all forthcoming . Most Astrologers who write their predictions point out on politics  as a bad year . The  United States has had a strong regression "backwards" in the last three years , more  and more elected officials are looking more like " crooks" rather than the god fearing , right-eous , law abiding . Voters  , please be warned there is going to be few choices in elections . Mean while , The February Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, begin and end with Mercury in retrograde, so these Games will not be without controversy and there could be some feats of skill and daring that do not end well. Look out terrorist attempts . Plus, you don’t need to be an ***astrologer to figure out that the event will be a focus for political protests; some of them very heated indeed. For our nation , one word sticks hard , it's Plutocracy and Pluto are part of the elusive matrix that gains power via our belief in it and as you know, transit Pluto has been traversing the Saturn-ruled sign of Capricorn (government, law, and business) for a few years now and we've seen government heads topple, and many institutions (Capricorn) dissolve, break down, or transform (Pluto.).  There is a lot of money flowing into the hands of the politicians . Nonetheless, there were some interesting developments at the ballot box.New Jersey, as expected, returned Gov. Chris Christie to office and also sent Cory Booker to the U.S. Senate. Bill de Blasio became the first Democrat elected New York City Mayor in two decades, and Democrats, led by Terry McAuliffe, swept the top three executive offices in Virginia for the first time in recent memory. Were these outcomes isolated or do they mean anything for 2014, when candidates will heat up the campaign trail big time ahead of next November's congressional midterms and key gubernatorial elections? In the new year, 435 House seats are up as are 35 in the Senate. There will be 36 gubernatorial races as well. Most of these campaigns won't be nail biters, but there could be collective power shifts in Washington and in state houses. There are 21 US Senate seats up for re-election in 2014 that are currently held by Democrats, with more than half of those being vulnerable. These seats were won during the 2008 sweep year when President Barack Obama brought millions of new first time voters to the polls, and helping many of the down-ticket candidates along the way. While the Republicans are defending 14 seats in mostly conservative states, Democrats are defending a mixture of liberal, moderate, and conservative seats. The GOP would need to swing 6 seats to take control of the US Senate. First, a midterm election is in large part about turning out your base — and no issue revs up the Republican base like health care. Eighty-eight percent of Republicans disapprove of how President Obama has handled the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, with 77 percent (!) “strongly” disapproving, in a December Washington Post-ABC News poll. With the 2014 political landscape becoming more defined, it is increasingly likely that the midterm elections in November will maintain divided government in the capital for the final two years of President Obama’s second term, with the chief unknown being exactly how divided it will be.

NOTES AND COMMENTS:
***Astrologers oddly maintain a "hard year" for Obama again !--- one noted procrastinator notes : Between April 2014 and December 2015, transiting Neptune is 180 degrees Obama's Pluto. This can see Obama burdened with unusual problems and possibly having health disorders difficult to ascertain. He will be heavily tempted to let his addictive nature take over his life. Sadly, a further deterioration (Neptune) in his marriage will occur, as Pluto is in his 7th house of marriage. Neptune is the ruler of the sea. The sea wears away at the rock, and the rock (in this case Obama's marriage) dissolves to nought. The great tragedy for the American people during this time is that Obama's career, ruled by Pluto, is also in danger of dissolving, becoming "out of control", seriously lacking direction and purpose (Neptune). There is even a danger of him becoming involved in a serious scandal.  ( he adds) In summary, 2014 and 2015 will be two of the most disappointing years in Barack Obama's entire working life. There is even the possibility of him becoming involved in scandal. -----Uranus square the U.S. sun brings further crisis in leadership from Mar 2013-Jan 2016.  Voters will continue to throw out incumbents, wildly gyrating from one extreme to the other as they seek a new and more modern way of doing things.  Corporate CEOs will face concerted opposition from sectors devoted to futuristic perspectives.  The mood of the nation will be erratic and volatile.
