MELONI'S ITALIAN REVOLUTION .

The election win of Giorgia Meloni maybe
as controversial , but could the
best thing in Italy .

FOR ITALY a new government under (1)>>Giorgia Meloni might be revolutionary . Why are liberals in the US mad about this? You read the news too much. Giorgia meloni is no threat to you or your freedom stop listening to the scaremongering media. If the media says something is bad it usually isn’t it just isn’t in their interest  (2)>>In her speech in Milan, Meloni addressed the energy crisis, and referred to negotiations between European energy ministers on Friday. Italy is pushing for a European price cap on gas to keep costs down, while Germany rejects that idea. But Berlin announced a €200 billion aid package to help German citizens and businesses with energy prices, measures that other European countries cannot afford.  (3)>>The joke , what the left believes is that Meloni is a female Trump.  What's funny about the (4)>> italian far-right adopting LotR in the 70's and 80's is that in Italy it's always talked about as a huge plot about how Tolkien was "appropriated" by the right here. But no one seem to care about the fact that Tolkien was also "appropriated" by the Hippie movement in America back in the 60's.Or by the metal subculture in the 80's and 90's.It's almost as if a big-ass nove full of different characters and very broad themes like friendship, good vs evil, heroism etc. is set up to be liked by many different groups. Seriously, saying "the italian far right likes Tolkien" always seemed a step away from a "Hitler liked to drink water" argument.   No denying the rightward shift happening in Europe. Parties that were always considered irrelevant a generation are now forming parts of government. The brain dead response is to attribute this to Russia but if those concerned want to stop they better understand why the voters are shifting views. As a news article said today, It’s easier to gain power in Italy than to stay on long enough to change it. Italy has had 11 coalition governments in 20 years I believe. (5)>>If Meloni does become prime minister in about 30 days from now, she’s going to face a shit storm of problems in a country that has the oldest population in Europe. They not only have the oldest population, which is why COVID hit them so hard and so fast, their young are leaving at the quickest pace of all developed European countries.Blaming it all on Russia is exactly what the far-righters want: an easy answer for everything wrong in (your) country. A scapegoat for all the fascists that were hiding under anonymity until their time came. That being said, all of them would be 100% trying to ally themselves  (6)>>with Russia if it wasn't because its tantamount to declare war to the rest of the West and nobody wants to ally with the loser... up and till the point you think he might not be the loser .Meloni, who has strongly reaffirmed her support for Ukraine in the war, vowed to protect Italian industry and agriculture from the effects of rising energy prices partly induced by the conflict, as well as the residual effects of the coronavirus pandemic and a record heatwave last summer that destroyed billions of euros’ worth of crops. Italian energy giant Eni said on Saturday that Russia’s Gazprom would not be sending any of the gas requested for delivery on Saturday. “Gazprom informed that it is not able to confirm the gas volumes requested for today, stating that it’s not possible to supply gas through Austria,” ENI said in a statement on its website. “Therefore, today’s Russian  gas supplies to Eni through the Tarvisio entry point will be at zero,” it said.  Meloni isn't properly far right; it's a conservative party for sure, but its program has nothing to do with the far right movements. Am I worried of her winning? Not really. She will win and be the first woman prime minister but how large will be the share of the votes, nobody knows for certain. Even if large she will be in coalition with FI which is still and pro-EU party. Even if FI will have a small amount of votes, those will be essential for keeping the coalition in power so they can always play the card "don't do that or we leave and you fall". Moreover, the EU money is bound with certain parameters and actions that were already agreed upon: if Italy doesn't do certain things, the money is lost.

NOTES AND COMMENTS:

(1)>>Giorgia Meloni might be revolutionary . The way America’s mainstream Right is so unabashedly endorsing Meloni, embracing her as a role model for where U.S. conservatism should go, is not an aberration from long-standing trends - but it does signal a significant anti-democratic radicalization. The European globalist establishment is in a panic, as their victory could well be the beginning of a conservative revolution on an exhausted continent lurching from one drama to the next due to massive leadership failures of prevailing progressive forces. Despite media attempts to compare her to the former U.S. president, Meloni, 45, is no Donald Trump. She’s an unmarried mother with a working-class background who has said that, when considering being the first female prime minister of Italy, “I cannot say that faced with such a responsibility my hands aren’t shaking.” (2)>>In her speech in Milan. That's what I'm surprised, Americans really think everything revolves around them. This speech specifically, I can't speak for everyone but I think it's reasonably obvious. When they hear Claims that "the family is a feared concept"Nobody fears family, everyone is pro family. What liberals hear is a dog whistle to the crowd that they're coming for non-traditional families. When liberals hear "I'm gender X or identity Y" they don't hear just those words, they also hear "I'm coming for people that don't identify with their assigned gender from birth"In liberal communities it's accepted that gender is a distinct concept from your genetic sex, and that non traditional families are not only okay but beneficial and to be protected. Basically that kind of thinking. Now this is an empowered woman in a position of great power and relevance. I'm sure the left must be filled with joy.. On the other hand, since they don't really know what a woman is anymore, perhaps not.. s/  Thank you so much for posting. Her speech should be played often everywhere. This is an accurate and insightful explanation of the actions of the WEF and their stooges. I hope it inspires action everywhere. And that includes us in the US. We must get off our asses and into the trenches. Now.  (3)>>The joke , what the left believes is that Meloni is a female Trump.  Trump had the problem in that he trusted the GOP to help him in many areas and they back-stabbed and stonewalled him. I don't consider him a "conservative" but he was far better than the monoparty.  Trump dropped the ball on rights in several places and I would not ever call him a conservative. He's a 90s centrist at best. He'll do if no one better stands up though.  He had no one he could trust by his side except for Melania. One by one they are all exposing themselves. Remember when we thought Barr would do something? Bannon may have been the one trustworthy aide, but he got canned for being too right. Gorka and Flynn too. Day ONE Trump need to fire ALL Obama appointees. He was trying to play nice and win people over. BIG YUGE mistake. He didn’t get it. Sessions was a deepstate stooge what a mistake! Trump should have stood by Flynn because he did NOTHING wrong! By having him resign it was the first domino to fall. A shitshow.  But Trump assumed he would have a second term. His issue is that he needed to play nice enough to not also have to battle the 'He's a Dictator--look at all the people he's firing!!!' trope on top of everything else.I'm absolutely certain that the garbage would have been purged in his second term. It's also why I'm hoping DeSantis understands that the best thing for America is to get Trump back for 4 more years. Really drain the swamp in that period of time. And setup up a much better DC-scenario for DeSantis to step into in 2028. With 12 years of sanity, the bureaucracy cleaned up, and establishment garbage like McConnel, Graham, Schumer, Pelosi (and many others) long gone, we'll be able to fire on all cylinders. The cherry on-top would be our joke of a Chief Justice voluntarily stepping down.I can dream... (4)>> italian far-right. The overuse of the phrase is a stupid part of the world these days and most right people are not extremist and to paint them as such belies the truth to people that the words that get used are used for clicks and outage rather than to correctly describe them. This misuse of language tires people out and pushes them to the right. If they're called "far-right", chances are they're already squarely on the right, and probably not close to the center either. But fine, lets just recalibrate. Right now means what far-right meant before. It's a mostly meaningless distinction these days anyway, now that the moderate conservative is an endangered species. Good?(5)>> If Meloni does become prime minister in about 30 days from now. Hint the recently elected? "Meloni's party won because their political program featured the best recovery plan atm" . The COVID draconian lock downs pushed the "far right" win . This suggests that Meloni’s victory on Sunday has less to do with nostalgia for Italy’s fascist past than with anger at the country’s parlous present. Meloni imo is simply the new shiny party that many scared people voted hoping in a stable government that does something "understandable" to them. She speaks at the instincts and fears of people. It will still be weeks before the new Italian Parliament is seated and a new government is formed, leaving plenty of time for political machinations and horse trading in a coalition with major differences. But Ms. Meloni’s strong showing, with about 26 percent of the vote, the highest of any single party, makes her the prohibitive favorite to become the country’s first female prime minister. (6)>>with Russia if it wasn't because its tantamount to declare war. Meloni will probably show her teeth , probably turn against the EU , side with Russia . It's a matter of time . She did make a gesture of support for Ukraine , but Italy will change sides . But on the issue of Ukraine, perhaps the most consequential for the government, she unambiguously criticized Russia’s unwarranted aggression, gave full-throated support for Ukraine’s right to defend itself and, in a recent interview, said she would “totally” continue to provide Italian arms to Kyiv. The same cannot be said for Ms. Meloni’s coalition partners, who have deeply admired Russia’s president, Vladimir V. Putin, and have often sounded like his apologists. Meloni is a far-right political woman, she is sovereign and would like to leave the European Union.I don’t know if this lady is anti EU but most European rightwing parties are. This war has left them all scratching their heads. Meloni has managed to distance herself the most from her previous Kremlin-friendly stances. From hailing Putin’s 2018 reelection as an “unequivocal” sign of the “will of the people” and continually demanding Crimean sanctions be revoked, Meloni has morphed into a safeguard for Italy’s Atlanticist stances in the past few months. Meloni’s pro-NATO stance hopefully will mean continuity in Italy’s position on Ukraine and its approach to the alliance, said Max Bergmann, director of the Europe program at the Washington-based think tank Center for Strategic and International Studies. But the troublesome connections to Russia of Meloni’s fellow coalition leaders, Silvio Berlusconi and Matteo Salvini, could foment problems.
