America's Gun Obsessions .

  Present Obama
sheds tears over guns , he
could shed more tears knowing
how American weapons are killing
people world wide.
America is a nation obsessed  with guns They are mainly fools and victims.  They are fools because they spend an extraordinary amount of money on their arsenals, thus keeping the gun lobby manufacturers happy.  And they are victims because if there is a necessary condition for someone being shot, owning a gun would be it..  More guns were sold in December than almost any other month in nearly two decades, continuing a pattern of spikes in sales after terrorist attacks and calls for stricter gun-buying laws, according to federal data released on Monday. The heaviest sales last month, driven primarily by handgun sales, followed a call from President Obama to make it harder to buy assault weapons after the terrorist attack in San Bernardino, Calif. Americans, those who buy guns could out of fear have psychological problems, the  pattern of spikes in sales in recent years shows a deterioration in the American mindset . The government of the United States should be concerned on who is buying those guns in those spike sales . Yes , there could be  (1)>>Nefarious , criminal elements both domestic and international that see American free for all on guns as"happy happy heaven". One of the weapons used in the Paris mass murders has reportedly been traced to a well-known American arms import and export company, according to reports. The serial number of the Zastava M92 semi-automatic “pistol” – in reality a semi-auto clone of the Kalashnikov AK-47 rifle with a shortened barrel – is said to match that of one supplied by Zastava to Century International Arms of Florida in 2013.Milojko Brzakovic, head of Serbia-based Zastava, told the Agence France Press agency earlier today (via German newspaper Deutsche Welle): “We were given numbers of weapons and confirmed that all had been manufactured in Zastava and we delivered information where these weapons ended up.”“A semi-automatic pistol PV M92 was produced in our factory and legally exported to the (Florida-based) company Century International Arms in May 2013,” he explained. The Palm Beach Post, a local newspaper to Century’s Florida HQ, reported that company owner Michael Sucher did not return calls for comment. The US is a virtual supermarket for terrorists and foreign governments seeking high-end military technology, including components that can be used to build nuclear weapons and equip militants fighting US and British troops, the American government has found.Over the past year, government investigators posing as private buyers purchased military-grade body armour, technology to stabilise and steer guided missiles, a device that can be used to detonate nuclear weapons, and other munitions through legal means in the US. They evaded export controls and posted dummy versions of the gear to countries known as trans-shipment points for terrorist groups and foreign governments seeking arms and weapons components. The investigation shows lax sales restrictions and export controls could allow terrorists and hostile foreign governments to buy equipment to use against US and British troops in Afghanistan, Iraq and other countries, US officials say. Foreign governments and terrorist groups have sought to purchase military technology from the US, according to officials, and in 2008 more than 145 people were charged with violating export control laws, with 43% of those attempting illegally to ship gear to Iran and China. Weapons made in at least 25 nations, including the United States, made their way into the hands of extremists through decades of industry initiatives that saturated the region with destructive power. The weapons range from small firearms to heavy
artillery and anti-aircraft missiles.  (2)>>The NRA — and their gun-loving Republican cohorts — have been  refusing once more to stop terrorists intent on getting armed in the U.S.A .A legal loophole allows suspected terrorists on the government’s no-fly list to legally buy guns, but a bill to fix that will likely wither on the vine. The federal Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act, even in the wake of last week’s terrorist killing of 129 people in Paris, remains a long shot due to its rabid pro-gun opponents. Let’s face it: We live in a country where some are literally obsessed with guns, with owning guns, with shooting guns, with thinking that guns can solve any and every problem. And the National Rifle Association (NRA) raises and spends millions of dollars each year to assure that no sensible gun control laws are passed. But how do the majority of Americans feel about gun control? Well, they support it. In fact, they support it in overwhelming numbers, What stands out most to me when I look that this graphic representation of public opinion is that 85 percent of those polled support background checks for guns sold at gun shows and via private purchases. 79 percent–almost 8 out of 10 Americans–think there should be laws that prohibit the mentally ill from buying a weapon. 70 percent would like to see a federal database that tracks gun sales.Yet the NRA loves to proclaim that the American public is on their side and thinks these proposals are too extreme and would violate the Second Amendment. In other words, the NRA is lying through their teeth, as they have for years now.

Please note the "children" in

There is an daunting kind of fear among certain folks . They have their bible ( often twisted interpretation) , yaws their guns ! . There are certain kind of Americans that are law abiding citizens who do own guns for their own protection , they may own one pistol , hunting rifle . They usually are the normal gun owners ........then there are those who for no specific reason under no scrutiny of the law of the land seem to have more guns than the local police department . Ever year , or months they go to gun shows and buy what the F , military style weapons ,  assault pistolsM70 ABM Milled AK47 Underfolding Rifle RI2198-X QC Inspected . The names list goes on . I heave also heard that It's kinda difficult to explain ,but often never investigated  that grenade launchers, 37mm and 40mm. 40mm are DD destructive device that can use explosive rounds have been sold at gunshows. ANYHOW what kind of "people" are so paranoid that they have to get tactical weapons of war ?  (3)>>RED NECKS . Like the NRA those folks are so obsessed that the government is at war with them so they have to arm themselves , yet they all claim to be  (4)>>MILITIAS . On Saturday night, dozens of white, armed American militants stormed a federal wildlife refuge in Oregon seeking to take a "hard stand" against federal government "tyranny." It's a wild story. The building seized by the militants is at the Malheur Wildlife Refuge — a remote, marshy oasis in Oregon's high desert famed for its spectacular migratory bird populations. The standoff is in the remote southeast of the state — far closer to the Nevada line (124 miles) and Boise, Idaho (217 miles), than to Portland (305 miles). The closest city is Burns, Oregon, population 2,800, 30 miles to the north. This is not the first round of trouble within our nation with would be militia groups .  Gun crazy right wingers always drool over criminals crashing into homes while salivating over which weapon and ammunition to use in the great shoot out to prove their righteousness.. The NRA programs them that way. It's a fact,  Yet there is too much fear mongering , As of January 2016, the Oregon standoff appears to be the work of Ammon Bundy and his two brothers. If the name sounds familiar, that’s because they’ve done this before. In April 2014, the Bundy boys and their father, Cliven, took on the federal government in an even bigger armed standoff. Incredibly, they won.The Nevada standoff started when the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) slapped Cliven Bundy with a $1.1 million fine for unpaid cattle grazing fees. When Bundy refused to pay, the BLM confiscated 380 cows. Bundy’s response was to reach for his weapons, call up his friends, and begin an armed standoff that lasted over a week.At its height, the Nevada standoff attracted 600 “patriot” and militia members. Men with assault rifles took up sniper positions on a freeway overpass. Women and children faced down armed BLM agents across a riverbed. The militia’s game plan was so obviously suicidal that everyone was preparing themselves for another Waco

Conservative Republicans are blind plain and simple.
Well its pathetic that the Conservative Republicans will not pull the the wool that been over their eyes over gun violence, the Republican is blind  . When they all screamed as poor President Obama who was "trying" to address a serious problem in a vary meager way. As tears streamed down his face, President Obama on Tuesday condemned the gun violence that has reached across the United States and vowed to curb the bloodshed with or without Congress.Everyone is talking about gun issues. The lefts blame the right's, the rights blame the left's, but not a single person can offer an absolute solution that can and will unite on both sides of the isle. For me as a American I personally  say "thank you Obama". The GOP has a flip side of the coin . There so out touch with reality in America  , case in point : Speaker Paul D. Ryan, R-Wis., continued his offensive against President Obama’s just-announced executive orders on guns, telling Yahoo News’ Katie Couric in an exclusive interview Wednesday that he wished the president had demonstrated “the same kind of [emotional] reaction” in response to the killing of American journalist James Foley by the Islamic State.  There is a problem with gun violence, it is not enough to oppose Gun Control Laws and protect the 2nd Amendment, we must protect our rights AND stop the epidemic of Mass Shootings that have been happening in our country. It is not enough to just say "NO". Conservatives need to stop the Liberal Agenda by showing and implementing Conservative solutions. We already have laws regarding re-sale of guns and background checks. Those apply to the Internet as well. We don't have a good ability to actual enforce the laws, although we have millions of government employees and billions spent on hardware and software - efficiency and the accountability of the public sector is atrocious thanks to a significant increase in 'administrators' that do nothing.Republicans accused the president of going too far, and already have threatened to fight the new measures by withholding DOJ funding. The guidance, though, aims to achieve a long-time administration goal of at least narrowing the so-called gun show loophole. Under current law, only federally licensed gun dealers must conduct background checks on buyers, but many who sell guns at flea markets, on websites or in other informal settings don't register as dealers. The ATF has issued updated guidance that says the government can consider someone a gun dealer regardless of where the guns are sold. In an attempt to prevent gun purchases from falling through the cracks, the FBI will hire 230 more examiners to process background checks, the White House said. The shame is not a president weeping a bit, but that he has not been able to prevent roughly as many people dying of guns in America on his watch as have been killed in the Syrian civil war (where estimates range from fewer than 200,000 to more than 300,000). Yes, the American gun toll includes suicides and, yes, Syria is a smaller country, but it’s worth a cry that a “peaceful” America during Obama’s tenure has lost roughly as many lives to gunfire as Syria has in civil war.

NOTES AND COMMENTS:
(1)>>Nefarious .Currently, some known or suspected terrorists are prohibited from boarding airplanes by the government’s no-fly list — but all are allowed to buy assault rifles and other weapons. The legislation was initially proposed in 2007 by the Bush administration, with King formally introducing the bill in Congress two years later. While the bill remained a nonstarter, more than 2,000 suspects on the FBI’s Terrorist Watchlist bought weapons in the U.S. over the last 11 years, according to the federal Government Accountability Office. The GAO reported that 91% of all suspected terrorists who tried to buy guns in America walked away with the weapon they wanted over the time period, with just 190 rejected despite their ominous histories. (2)>>The NRA .An Open Secrets database shows the NRA's top political earners from 1990 to 2014, allowing inquisitive voters to see how much their elected officials are raking in. According to the records, the NRA in 2014 doled out roughly $812,460 to 222 national contenders consisting of 211 Republicans and 11 Democrats. Among those top 14 politicians — each of whom received $9,900 each — former Georgia Rep. John Barrow was the only Democrat of the bunch. The outspoken gun supporter, who in a 2012 campaign ad proudly showed off some of his family's guns, lost his reelection later that year. The donations that year were the gun group's most paltry since 1990, however, with the NRA dropping their financial support below their usual $1 million minimum mark. That was the same year that a crazed gunman entered Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., and massacred 26 children and educators. The shocking bloodshed made no impact in Washington, where politicians failed to pass any gun control legislation. The NRA instead encouraged people to buy more guns — and to add armed security guards at all places of learning.  (3)>>RED NECKS The term "redneck" started to become part of our political  language identity. We produced literature specifically targeted toward white working class people, urging them to abandon their kneejerk racism and allegiance to whiteness and to instead build alliances with working class brown and black folks. (4)>>MILITIAS. Americans have been exercising their “right to keep and bear arms” —
pistols, shotguns, rifles and other firearms — since before the Second Amendment was codified in December 1791. And ever since, Americans across the political spectrum have been debating (often politely, sometimes rancorously, always passionately) what exactly the Second Amendment means. The Second Amendment says that “A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”There’s quite a lot of debate over what this actually means, and many will argue that the amendment only refers to people in a militia. So if you’re not in a militia, then you should not have a gun. Except in 2008, the Supreme Court held that the Second Amendment protects the right of an individual to possess a firearm. Personally I think that the 2nd Amendment REALLY meant that in times of war ( um like in 1812) American citizens had to bare arms in case of foreign invasion , that the average citizen could be at will drafted into a makeshift army , Yes of coarse defending one's life against hostile natives like the Native Americans :ie Indians.
