Gov. Newsom' Slippery Slope.

California faces huge multi billion dollars 💰
Of deficits , now Gov. Newsom is
Taking a Slippery Slope to
fight Trump.

CALIFORNIA Gov. NEWSOM'S California is a sinkhole of high taxes, regulations, that is broke with a huge yearly deficit, lost revenue. But TRUMP has set the ball rolling on Tariffs as we explained in our last two blog posts . Gavin Newsom it's slick hair jell Governor is now suing the Trump Administration over tariffs.
You SHOULD guess why ? The trade war between China , the rest of the world could crash California revenues on state exports . On top of a lawsuit against Trump. Gov. Newsom is seeking trade deals and exemptions from international tariff reprisals. BUT, No state can establish international trade policy independent of the federal government, so I'm not sure how this is supposed to work. The state is also facing a budget shortfall and doesn't want to tax billionaires.Perhaps it could be sold as West Coast billionaires bypassing for their own commercial interests. Perhaps a greedy few break alliance with federal tariffs when they see paper or logistical advantage they can access. The lawsuit is Newsom’s most direct legal challenge to Trump’s agenda since the president retook office in January. The move instantly reignites California’s war with Trump and cements its place atop the resistance, after Newsom spent months appealing to the president for federal disaster relief. It’s also notable as a unilateral challenge, underscoring the singular importance of the issue in California. Bonta has worked closely with other blue states on previous lawsuits challenging Trump’s immigration policies and federal funding cuts.Newsom said that the tariffs had already cost the state billions of dollars in inflated costs and supply-chain disruptions, and that he was particularly concerned about the vulnerability of California farmers to the retaliatory trade policies of other countries. Newsom and Bonta’s argument targets the International Economic Emergency Powers Act, the law Trump is using to impose tariffs without congressional approval. The two Democrats argue Trump lacks the authority to levy tariffs under the law, mirroring a similar case filed Monday by a group of U.S. businesses. California, which the governor's office said engaged in nearly $675 billion in two-way trade last year, stands to lose billions in state revenue under Trump's tariff policies if international commerce declines and the stock market tanks. Mexico, Canada and China represent the state's three largest trade partners.
California is one big CON .
However, the fine print of Newsom’s budget contains several indirect tax increases on businesses – mostly by reducing offsets of taxable income – that over the next few years would raise as much as $18 billion.Reports from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) show that 716,948 Californians moved to another U.S. state or territory between 2020 and 2021. In that same time, 385,188 Americans moved into California — making California’s net population loss 331,760 residents. And those people took $29 billion in taxable income with them — or $183,737 on average. Meanwhile, those that moved into the state earned much less at $87,000 on average. Newsom’s rush to the center-right looks out of place amid the positive polling coming Democrats’ way, and it highlights the real moral hazard that comes from being too quick to sell out your principles because of a few bad polls. That doesn’t mean Democrats should rely on Trump to fumble his way into a Democratic Congress in 2026. They will still need to make the case for Democratic leadership. But unlike Newsom seems to think, they don’t need to abandon their Democratic bona fides to get there. Newsom's cronies are also looking for ways to tax you more!  is exploring a different funding method for road repairs: having drivers pay for them, similar to how they pay for public utilities.Known as a road charge, drivers in California would pay a monthly fee based on the number of miles driven. As California transitions to a carbon emissions-free future, the system is considered an alternative to the current gas tax. “California lawmakers and Gov. Gavin Newsom are looking at a $2 billion deficit ahead of the next fiscal year, according to a report released Wednesday by the nonpartisan Legislative Analyst’s Office. It’s a dramatic improvement over last year’s budget picture, when the LAO initially projected a $68 billion shortfall. Lawmakers and Newsom took early action to trim spending, shrinking the deficit to about $47 billion for the current fiscal year. The LAO described the budget picture as “roughly balanced.” The turnaround is driven by a budget approved earlier this year, which cut $11 billion in spending and temporary revenue increases of $5.5 billion.” The news isn’t the $2B deficit, the news is that the cuts worked, nearly balancing the budget. Correct. To summarize what happened, CA made a *really* generous calculation (some would call it a historic fuck-up) on estimating incoming taxes back in 2022 or so that said they had $300bn in revenue coming because of early tax receipts, when in reality they had about $200bn coming. As an example of why this happened, on Jan 10, 2025 they have to submit their budget for July 2025-June 2026 (or approximately that), so you're basing the budget 8-20 months from now on your 3rd quarter tax receipts, and COVID was a nightmare on a state that heavily relies on income tax. Anyway...They have spent the last 2 years cancelling programs that hadn't started, scaling back others that had, shrinking existing programs, cost-cutting in some areas, pulling money out of rainy-day funds, and a little bit of creative accounting to shrink the deficit because they're required in the state constitution to pass a balanced budgetSo in 3 years they'll have gone from a $100bn deficit to a $2bn deficit, which is less than 1% of the expected revenue the state is expected to bring in.  I mean, while I think the traitorous  way to define Newdom, is heading the country, I can understand the argument that Newsom is a traitor to the direction Trump is taking the country. In the strictest definition of the word, it fits. That being said, when the actions of the country are unjust, unfair, and unconscionable, the country would be better off if we were all traitors. I'd argue tha betraying the orders of a criminal president are what's best for everyone.

APRIL 20th Martial Law Day 😉

APRIL 20th, just anything
Could happen 😜 🤣

There’s apparently a rumor on the left going around that on April 20th, Trump will declare martial law and use the Insurrection Act.
Well it's probably going to be a bad day , because it's probably EAster ☀️ Sunday. So what's the buzz on the fact that something could trigger martial law in the United States. Way back in 2020 during the BLM George Floyd riots , Donald Trump was President, he was reluctant to declare martial law ..you know that was civil disobedience was shaking 🫨 the country along with COVID, he did nothing .Will HE DO IT Now? He's going to have a good excuse to declare it , getting past Congress first .According to Redacted News (Clint Fox News)(Former Anchor) saying Dems have confirmed 😂 that Trump will be declaring Martial Law on April 20th. Man this Timeline is Wild, it’s Sadistic and Parody Every single day. It’s like a Yearly Advent Calendar of Stupidity 666. It looked like the END of The World. So here are the reports: A large swathe of the US population is currently convinced that President Donald Trump will “invoke the Insurrection Act of 1807” and “impose martial law” on April 20. The belief stems from an Executive order that he signed on Inauguration Day what hinted at the possibility ‘within 90 days’. For example, one Facebook user posted, in part, "He's setting us up for Martial My main thought and wonder is, will people really just sit down and take it? Will the protests remain peaceful or are we in for something like storming the capitol level if Trump puts martial law in place? And also, what does martial law even look like? I read it brings out military forces and such for cities, but I'm in a small town so...does that mean even we get military roaming the streets? I sound like an idiot, I know. I'm just trying to learn about this.in case y'all were wondering how he plans on dealing with the backlash he's receiving. April 20."  We literally have a form of martial law right now. Trump is using the Alien Enemies Act, an explicit wartime power, to disappear people in times of peace. And the Supreme Court gave it the okay. A Facebook user sharing the rumor, also noting former German dictator Adolf Hitler's birthday as April 20, wrote, in part, "Upcoming MAGA special events... April 20. Trump declares martial law in The United States of America." ( Who knows maybe 🧐🤔 it's possible that we'll have a terrorist act on US soil , or something to do with Iran ) . That possiblity is MUCH STRONGER 💪 than having a declaration of martial law. He signed an executive order on January 20th requiring Hegseth and Norm to give recommendations on whether to invoke the insurrection act by April 20th (90 days).   Sure we have riots in the streets, vandalism, crime , burning it all down like it was in 2020 .The rumor partly pertained to a Trump executive order issued on Jan. 20 declaring a national emergency at the southern U.S. border. Part of that order requested Trump to receive a joint report from the secretaries of defense and homeland security "within 90 days" — or by April 20 — advising "whether to invoke the Insurrection Act of 1807." The order did not explicitly mention the words "martial law."   My main thought and wonder is, will people really just sit down and take it? Will the protests remain peaceful or are we in for something like storming the capitol level if Trump puts martial law in place? We literally have a form of martial law right now. Trump is using the Alien Enemies Act, an explicit wartime power, to disappear people in times of peace. And the Supreme Court gave it the okay.Martial law is defined as “a type of jurisdiction in which military authority temporarily replaces civil authority,” according to Cornell Law School. Under this rule, local agencies and authorities— like a mayor’s office or sheriff’s office— would have no power. Instead, they’d be replaced by military soldiers with orders to control and maintain order in times of war, civil unrest, natural disasters, etc. And many think Trump’s goal is to infuriate Americans— especially Black folks— enough to justifiably hit the switch. With protesters flooding the streets rebelling against his authority, it would be the perfect time for the president to declare martial law nationwide for God knows how long, and that’s the last thing any of us want. Has it Been Enacted Before? To understand the history of martial law in the U.S., you’d have to go back to the first time it was enacted in 1814, when then-General Andrew Jackson declared martial law in New Orleans to defend the city against a potential British invasion, according to the National Park Service. Since then, the practice has only evolved.  The last time martial law was declared by the federal government was in Hawaii during World War II, right after the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. But in more recent history, the state of Maryland declared martial law in 1963, during the height of civil unrest of the Civil Rights Movement. Although it clearly takes a lot for martial law to be declared, that doesn’t mean Trump isn’t preparing for the country to get to that point, and many are scared. On X, @scythegenderr said they were “doomscrolling on tiktok and they sayin trump might pass the ‘insurrection act’ and declare martial law in april bro LEAVE ME ALONEEEE.” Well, let’s be clear, the U.S. Constitution doesn’t explicitly grant the president the power to declare martial law, but it also doesn’t explicitly say he can’t. The president can, however, use military force on civilians under specific, extreme circumstances, including to suppress an insurrection or enforce federal law. This is all outlined in the Insurrection Act, which Trump has repeatedly referenced in his ongoing plans to “control” the U.S. Southern border. They’ll just say the immigration “crisis” is bad enough to warrant it. Hegseth and Noem are providing the reasoning for the insurrection act being used or not used… but I doubt the two of them would arrive at the latter no matter what evidence was in front of them .Another user, @DahliaBerencia said “It won’t take a civil war or revolution (that’s what Trump wants to see, so he can install Martial Law).” They continued urging folks to keep the peace saying, “Don’t play into his hand! Violence is just another problem, don’t add to it.” The president threatened to use military force on civilians before, so would it be too extreme to think he’d actually follow through? Probably have largely agreed to keep calm and carry on through this presidency, but we’ve only made it through the first two months. We’ll just have to see how the next four years goes. Coincidence or not, there are nation wide protests marked to happen on April 19. Some people say the US is beyond this (martial law) because it is just too big to enforce it and “dictatorship” is just an absurd thing to think America could ever be, and this speculation is just fear spreading. On one hand, there have been multiple instances where I feel there's been a significant amount of dooming that something horrible was going to happen, and then it didn't happen. On the other hand, I think he theoretically could, and could get away with it, so it's foolish to shrug it off as "it would never happen" or "if it does, it won't be as bad as people are saying". I think I'm at a place whe ftre I am vigilant it could happen, on April 20th or any other day, but not necessarily expecting it. As such, I also think its foolish to breathe a sigh of relief if April 20th comes and goes with no martial law declared and say to ourselves "crisis averted", because the threat of it would still remain.  That’s the day Donald Trump’s advisory committee is expected to release its findings on whether he should invoke the Insurrection Act — a move that would allow him to deploy the military domestically and allow Trump to impose martial law. (San Francisco Chronicle). Given Hegseth and Noem are the main “advisors”, the conclusion is foregone. And as his two months in office has already shown, he won’t stop at just a legal opinion.Expect an executive order even that same day or the next, officially declaring the Insurrection Act, restricting freedoms in the name of restoring control of the border and perhaps in blue-state cities, and setting the larger plan in motion. Of course, this won’t be framed as an attack on democracy. It will be packaged as a necessary response to crisis — as authoritarian takeovers always are.But once it happens, there’s no going back. So I think really the best mindset to have is preparing for the worst to come at any moment until * he is out of office* 😉 but not necessarily driving ourselves crazy with dread over the sensational story of the week either

TARIFFS from HELL 😂

Will Trump's Tariffs from Hell
really work ? Or tank the
Economy?

In 2018-2019  Donald Trump's first term, he tried to pull TARIFFS on China, just before COVID STRUCK . IT  was a shit show, the Stock Market back then slightly rattled . But nothing as of now with the market losing almost 6 trillion dollars 💰🤑 in just a few hours.
Trump's tariff war will overhwhelmingly raise prices for Americans, while Chinese consumers will see prices very slightly decrease. Millions of Americans will not be able to meet their needs very soon.  What does this mean? Despite proclaiming it “liberation day,” the Trump administration’s tariffs are hurting the U.S. economy, increasing inflation, and leaving America isolated on the world stage. This means that the effects of the trade war will remain for much longer. 👉This means that a recession will be inevitable. And it is going to be a nasty one. The inflation that the Fed hasn't been able to find is going to land like a thump.👈 Business restructuring is going to result in massive layoffs. This was all done with little preference given to countries that are allies or whose exports are critical to support the U.S. economy. The president seemed to think this approach had few costs to the U.S. He argued that “trade wars are good, and easy to win.” However, international trade policy is not carried out in a vacuum. Like Brexit, Britain’s fateful vote nearly nine years ago to leave the European Union, Mr. Trump’s tariffs struck a hammer blow at the established order. Pulling the United States out of the global economy is not unlike Britain’s withdrawing from a Europe-wide trading bloc, and in the view of Brexiteers, a comparable act of liberation. Trump's tariff calculations were even dumber than we thought, according to a conservative think tank . Beyond the idiocy of falsely equating trade deficits w/ trade barriers, Trump's team (mistakenly?) used retail prices instead import prices, drastically inflating the tariffs. Countries first tried to negotiate exemptions from the tariffs on their exports. When that failed, they retaliated with their own tariffs on U.S. exports to their own countries. Trump’s trade war will cost American families dearly by raising consumer prices. It has already reduced their savings in the stock market. And, it is bound to fail at one thing Trump promised to do: bring back jobs. And the stock market is going to crash.  The world’s 500 richest people lost a collective $536bn (£417bn) in the first two days of stock market trading after Trump’s “liberation day” announcement last Wednesday. It was the biggest two-day loss of wealth ever recorded by Bloomberg’s billionaires index. The cascading bad news will compound itself and we will be stuck in a vicious cycle of bad news feeding on itself. Hoover tried this during the Great Depression. The Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act of 1930 raised tariffs on both agricultural and industrial goods. This prompted other countries to impose high tariffs on U.S. exports and plunged the US deeper into the depression. 🤔👉Some nations labelled "worst offenders" are scrambling to make nice with the White House to end this game before it reaches a potentially devastating climax. China, in contrast, is playing a different game, one of retaliation and resistance.Meanwhile, Trump has pressed ahead, even as some allies – in Congress and on Wall Street – wonder if he's going too far. On Sunday, when asked what level of market fall he would tolerate before changing course, he snapped that it was a "stupid question". 👈 White House has announced Trump's Liberation Day Tariffs will immediately go into effect. A Moody's simulation found it could be an economic wipe out. Is Trump's Liberation Day Tariffs a Misnomer? A Moody's simulation found that a tariff trade war would wipe out 5.5 million jobs, lift the unemployment rate to 7%and cause U.S. GDP to drop by about 1.7%. Trump’s potential 20% universal tariff could spark "serious" recession in US, Moody’s economist warns. The biggest three partners \[China, Canada and Mexico\] have promised immediate retaliation. Economic war could escalate and perhaps even cause a worldwide downturn.  Perhaps Trump's strategy is to begin making bilateral trade deals, but there are even certain blocks such as EU that may well coordinate retaliation together. I am not aware what Trump is actually liberating us from, hence the question. The market's mentality is unlikely to recover until we get a more sensible outcome if anything positive as in returns we will see in the next few months.

TRUMP and IRAN WAR POSSIBLE !?

No One Wants A War . Americans
Are tired of endless wars .
My message to Donald Trump is
Avoid war with Iran ,
don't make a fool of yourself.

If by any chance Trump gets America into war with Iran . It's probably the biggest April's Fools joke ever .
Any Chance of a War with Iran would A war with Iran wouldn’t just risk another endless conflict. It would blow up Trump’s broader agenda at home and abroad.A major conflict would drain U.S. resources and attention, distracting from domestic priorities and weakening America’s leverage on every front: China, Russia, Europe, and trade. Europe could seize the moment to prolong support for the war in Ukraine and resist Trump’s push to reset transatlantic ties. Dismantling the federal government, disobeying judges, attacking American allies and destroying its soft world power, deportation upon deportation, he's about to take away birthright citizenship, tanking the economy with his tariffs and putting it on the edge of recession if not collapse, and now a war in the middle east, maybe invading Yemen, maybe Iran or Gaza or all of them and more. ALREADY we are seeing preparation for a possible strike on Iran. Regardless of the setback that such an attack achieves, it is important to keep in mind the price tag for preventing Iran from weaponizing in the long run. It would require a long-term military commitment that could escalate into a regional conflict, push Iran towards weaponization, and ultimately raise serious concerns about sustainment feasibility and compatibility within the framework of U.S. national security regional and global priorities.Coordinated U.S. and Israeli airstrikes targeting Iran’s nuclear, military, and command infrastructure—including underground sites—are likely to escalate into a wider conflict, given the higher probability of retaliatory strikes. There would be no invasion of Iran, no American troops on the ground. Pentagon sources say the direct aim would not be ‘regime change’ but ‘regime chaos’. Bolton wants to see Iran left ungovernable, no threat to its neighbours and ripe for a popular revolt. This is what happened in Syria, there is no invasion of Syria but a supplied groups who are fighting in a proxy war. There is no “regime change” in Syria but “regime chaos”Saudi Arabia and Obama supplied the rebels against Al-Assad, then later the USA attacked Al-Assad while he was fighting ISIS.I think you're putting too much faith in trump tbh. I was with him in 2016 and 2024 but at this point he's literally only done stuff that benefits Israel. Maybe that will change but war with Iran is not America first at all, it's specifically to benefit Israel. Israel is dragging the US into war with Iran, and Trump? Just a puppet on their strings, dancing to the tune. ‘America First’? More like ‘Israel First, America Foots the Bill and the Body Bags.A candidate elected to end current wars and avoid new ones, Donald Trump as president has significantly escalated the war on Yemen and is now threatening to attack Iran. He is also threatening Russia (again) with punitive tariffs.  What is it about the White House that turns every resident into a warmonger? [Trump: If Iran does not agree to a nuclear deal, there will be bombing and it will be bombing the likes of which they have never seen before.]Tehran Times: Iran has hundreds of ballistic missiles in underground bases ready to launch. Team Trump must come to grips with the probability that an air campaign against Iran is going to result in shocking losses of US airpower + 60,000 Middle East US troops are at risk.Oh great. Another war for Israel.  What the hell is going on? Trump has turned into Biden? Mercilessly, relentlessly bombing Yemen and aggressively seeking a new war with Iran. Why doesn’t Trump at least meet with the Iranian leaders, as he did North Korea’s? Why doesn’t he educate himself a little and learn about the Yemeni and Iranian cultures? Always remember, the Parthians never gave in to Rome. The Peace President? We didn’t vote for this.Is it too late for the US military to do a Coup d'état, I'll take a Military junta over this.
