What was worse ? The "fly" on Pence's head or the contradictions from Kamala Harris mouth ? |
(1)>>The Debate between Harris and Pence was so much better than the Trump- Biden fiasco .To be fair, both candidates (mostly Pence) answered the questions posted by the moderator by saying " good question, but I am going to talk about something completely different". It's a good strategy until a fly lands on your head. Pence did a much better job than Trump . (2)>>Pence offered a listless defence of Donald Trump, borrowing the president’s tactics by dodging questions, making false accusations, distorting facts, and talking and talking. Pence didn’t interrupt as much as ignore the beleaguered moderator’s repeated pleas for him to stop. But Pence was the first to do this, and Harris had to do it too in order to prevent Pence from having the last word even when she was the second person to answer the question. The debate is structured so as to allow both debaters to answer second on some topics, to allow fairness. Pence stripped this fairness from the debate and the moderator allowed it every single time. There is no reason a moderator shouldnt just continue to interject when the speaker’s time is over. Pence ruined any chance of a debate where the American people might have a chance to hear where both parties stand on important issues by backtracking, launching attacks when it wasn’t his turn to speak, and forcing his opponent to answer to them. The moderator did a horrible job and should feel horrible. First of all he let his adversary talk . That is the most important thing . Letting Harris talk actually put the Biden camp on a slippery ground . (4)>>Kamala support for the "peaceful protests" put her on the spot , Pence made the point about the violent protests buring , looting , destroying which Harris was so numb . The most laughable part is when Harris talked about her "record" , put her agenda to fully legalize Marijuana . Which is her solution to economy is to just make drugs more legal so people would just forget that they are out of work , go ahead smoke a joint and so on ? I enjoyed the fact that Mike Pence took a professional way to peel away the layers of confusing information Harris put out . She contradicted what Joe Biden said during his debate with Trump , which Mike Pence pointed out on numerous points . (5)>>The worst is Harris Biden’s plan to raise 7 trillion dollars in new taxes, while both claim that taxes will not go up for those making below 400, 000 , that is always a fact check. Harris insisted that the Biden Plan will not raise taxes , but Biden in the Trump debate said he would repeal the Trump tax credit that gave every Americans 2000 $ more a year . Debating about taxes. I Prefer not to go back to the Obama - Biden tax plan which took 200 to 300 dollars out of every[ mine ] American’s pocket book to pay for projects on infrastructure that never fully were completed . Another note that makes me mad , not to point out is that Obama raised taxes to pay for his “health care” , he taxed Americans to bail out the banks , Wall Street during the housing crisis. The Debated focused on COVID-19 . The debate setting, the factual nature of the questions about COVID-19 in the U.S., and Senator Harris’ opening statement painted a picture of a Trump administration unable to handle the public health crisis. Pence’s well-worn comeback that the President closed the border to incoming flights from (6)>>China has not aged well as the pandemic continues to rage and has claimed over 211,000 lives. Unlike the last debate bewteen Trump and Biden , Trump lost . Pence won this debate. He was calm, professional, competent and focused. He was in some sense the answer to every criticism leveled at Trump after the last debate. With that said that is my own two bits on the Pence- Harris debate .
Amy Coney Barrett.
My next critical observation is not as much that Trump picked a women , hopefully be sworn in as Bader Ginsberg's successor Amy Coney Barrett. But the fact that the majority of left , Democrats , are so against Trump's choice . Either waiting after the election may be a good thing , its not the issue , its about who will be President of this country .If he gets re-elected then yes it’s likely he’ll get more appointments. The likelihood of that happening within his current term is low. Possibly one extra seat. While Trump may see this nomination as a boon to his reelection campaign, the true victors are the leaders of the conservative legal movement, who built the sophisticated machine in Washington that made this moment possible. There's no "practical limit." The Republicans can do it as late as they like. They could do it on Election Day itself if they wanted. Trump will almost certainly get 50 Republican Senators to vote for a Ginsburg replacement, with Collins, Murkowski and perhaps just one more GOP Senator defecting. The 50-50 would get Pence to sign off on it and the new conservative justice would be on the bench. The BiG QUESTION BY DEMOCRATS will Barrett’s ability to set aside her religious views as a Catholic has been a matter of intense debate since she was nominated to the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in 2017. “The dogma lives loudly within you, and that’s of concern,” Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein of California said during Barrett’s confirmation hearing, questioning whether she would uphold the (7)>>precedent of abortion rights set in Roe v. Wade. An ugly war has already begun over Barrett’s participation in a charismatic community in South Bend, Indiana, and whether that should be a factor in her Supreme Court confirmation hearings. Barrett being a woman should not really alarm women who do want to see more women in positions of power. The only ones who are afraid are those who don't want to see another woman take the bench at the highest level of the American Supreme Court.
Is Trump going Down Hill?
The Last few weeks since (8)>>Trump "claimed" that he tested Positive for COVID -19 , he was reported to have "symptoms" , he was placed on drugs and so on. It looked to me like some kind of stunt . But when presidents act in ways that can’t be easily understood by analyzing the normal incentives of the job, it’s reasonable to ask what else might be going on. So What ever it was why he did this , it may have hurt him in the race against Biden . I also believe trump has sycophants in his administration who don’t necessarily want to win, but squeeze whatever they can out of him because jim crow joe is more like them than trump is, and they would do perfectly fine with Biden as president. Trump's actions are starting to LOOK A BIT BIZARRE. President Donald Trump on called an abrupt end to negotiations with Democrats over additional COVID-19 relief, delaying action until after the election despite ominous warnings from his own Federal Reserve chairman about the deteriorating conditions in the economy.Trump tweeted that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was “not negotiating in good faith” and said he’s asked Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to direct all his focus before the election into confirming his U.S. Supreme Court nominee, Amy Coney Barrett.“I have instructed my representatives to stop negotiating until after the election when, immediately after I win, we will pass a major Stimulus Bill that focuses on hardworking Americans and Small Business,” Trump tweeted. Well again the whole thing looked off the wall . Is Trump sure that he will win? While the campaign of the president would like Republicans to believe it, this election is not like 2016. As some forecasters have noted, Joe Biden is polling better than Hillary Clinton at her peak. Now polling better is a no brainer , the polls have like Biden 53 and Trump 46 . Trump could still beat Biden . There is no magic rabbit for Trump to pull out of his oversize suit and change his political fortune. He's also turned down crucial debates that would have done virtual Zooming in place of a live . Personally Trump should debate , not just kick the can down the street towards a brick wall.
Nancy Pelosi and the 25th Amendment .
|
Pelosi invokes the 25th Amendment , her last attempt to remove Trump. |
I think that sometimes that Democrats are so afraid that (9)>>Trump will win a second term. Maybe the polls are not correct . So they would hit the panic botton and invoke the 25th Amendment really late .In stead of fighting for Americans for a second Covid economic relief , they just walk off on any agreement . Just weeks before the Nov. 3 election, with no hopes of the bill becoming law. Nancy Pelosi pulled an equally bizarre stunt , perhaps one of the biggest waste of time in recorded history just a month a way for the election . Nancy is trying to meddle in the election, The resolution comes after the California Democrat expressed support for a bill that would create a "Commission on President Capacity" to gauge whether the president is capable of serving in the role and invoke the 25th Amendment if needed. The 25th Amendment lays out the presidential line of succession and authorizes the vice president and a member of the Cabinet to declare if the president is “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. WELL it's just another attempt to remove Trump , perhaps the vary last gasp for them after the Mueller report , Russia hoax , other attempts at impeaching Trump . I think Americans should wake up start to sense what is going on . It's up to the people to decide by voting not by some quick gimmick . Now that Congess goes on vacation , with no agreement on helping Americans get Covid stimulus money . Nancy's stunt has only passing a crazy bill. Congress is not in legislative session, and so any serious consideration of the measure, let alone votes in the House or Senate, is unlikely. Right now am kind wishing that Trump gets a SECOND TERM . NOTES AND COMMENTS:
(1)>>The Debate between Harris and Pence was so much better than the Trump- Biden fiasco . And much as Harris-Pence could be seen as a preview of a post-Trump partisan matchup, it was a much more revealing indicator of how the 70-something men at the top of the ticket are trying to pitch themselves in the last stretch of the campaign with their younger, more disciplined, more predictable mouthpieces. Let’s be clear, the vice-presidential debate will not change much. Both the current vice-president and Sen. Harris are rather more likely to serve as president, given the ages of their running mates and that Joe Bidenhimself has indicated a likelihood he will only serve one term. Yet, they are not at the top of the ticket, so the political needle will likely only wobble a bit. Two results: Pence looks a lot stronger as a future Republican nominee, and Harris better get four years to apprentice before making a play for the brass ring. Harris has a problem in that most of the attack lines on Trump have been used for months and even years, meaning there is not much new for her to bring forward. When she did try a new tack, it flopped terribly. Her tedious history lesson about the 1864 Supreme Court vacancy might impress a sliver of Civil War buffs but likely left the audience unmoved — although she clearly thought it was very clever. (2)>>Pence offered a listless defence of Donald Trump. Mike Pence might be Trump's salvation if he can salvage the mess of the last debate. Pence did defend Trump's record , Still, in expressing criticism of his predecessor, Mr. Biden, Mr. Pence also seemed to underscore the quandary he faces in his proximity to a president bearing a large load of ethical and legal accusations. Vice President Pence should be in charge. He has promise to be a great Republian President . AS of now he has to defend Trump as far as he can . (4)>>Kamala support for the "peaceful protests" .Kamala was asked about the violent protests where she gave a akward remark about them. Kamala Harris has said it is “no wonder” protesters are taking to the streets across America and that she supports them, in a hard-punching attack on Donald Trump. Yet' she did not answer the question , it seems many Democrat leaders have turned a blind eye to the riots , rolled them up as all being "peaceful" . This example , Protesters, many wearing masks, looted and vandalized stores. Some entered a downtown Starbucks, which has “F--- the police” spray-painted on its door. Others entered Nordstrom through a broken window and threw items such as designer purses and perfume from the store out to a cheering crowd, leaving shelves empty. See video here. (5)>>The worst is Harris Biden’s plan to raise 7 trillion dollars in new taxes. Biden has threatened to repeal the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act enacted by congressional Republicans and President Trump. Such a repeal would impose a $2,000 annual tax increase on a median income family of four and a $1,300 annual tax increase on a median income single parent with one child. BUT Biden tax proposals could increase taxes on ALL Americans who don't earn $400,000 in a year. For example, the $400,000 threshold generally applies to income taxes and certain payroll taxes. But Biden is calling for changes that would raise other taxes, too. People making less than $400,000 per year could get caught up in those tax increases. Boosting business taxes could also have a trickle-down effect that indirectly raises taxes for workers. So, just because your annual salary is below $400,000 doesn't mean you'll automatically escape all tax increases if Biden is elected president. Biden's plan would attack middle class people who did get the Trump tax credit , many American's recieved 200 to 300 dollars more on their paycheck , many of them earned below 100,000. Biden's tax plans would be more devestating toward anyone who works at 100, 000 a year , but hardly hurt anyone over 400,000 $ . This has always been the Democrats slippery slope on tax "cuts" . Democrat elected leaders have raised taxes in blue states (6)>>>China. Harris dodged nearly every question - especially the important ones. Nobody knows how Biden/Harris will deal with China, which is concerning. BUT BIDEN is more likely to cozy up to Xi's China , probably remove the tarif's , and end the trade war . This would playing hands with the Chinese Communist Party . You have to look at this and remember that Trump was accused of working for Russia , we had a huge downward trend in relations with Russia since . I am not so sure that Biden would make any changes with China . He would be extremely weak , would be calling back Obama. (7)>>precedent of abortion rights. Also that the whole issue of "abortion" is a cynical political tool that was adopted by the American Evangelicals in the late 60's to engage their previously disengaged "flocks" politically. The end objective was to protect segregationist academies in the South, but since then they have found that their political power is quite great and are happy to look for goals beyond that. Primarily enriching themselves. We all know that before the adoption of abortion as a "mainstream" wedge issue, it was mostly just a Catholic issue, and that the Evangelicals regarder Catholics as "lesser Christians" (which I am sure that they still do).Even the Catholic church's view on abortion has evolved over the past couple of ceturies. To me this says that it is entirely a political lever, and not a question of ethics or theology whatsoever.(8)>>Trump "claimed" that he tested Positive for COVID -19. When I heard that Trump tested positive for Covid after the debate with Biden I almost rolled over laughing . , BUT some how with a whim of a miracle was healed . Was Trump pulling a stunt ? Maybe yes , yes he was up to something , never heard of a Covid recovery so fast .Doctors have never known how to handle sick leaders. They said Britain’s Boris Johnson was just fine and cheerful. When this proved untrue he was said to be dying. Bulletins merged into bullshit. Nothing was believed. Johnson had to bitterly protest his health only this weekend. Of course there is the possibility he is one of the 80 odd %, that has beenvirtually asymptomatic (but still a risk to others). He may indeed thinkthis is evidence of his superiority, his chosen by god status, his masculinityetc. , after all he now "gets it". (9)>>Trump will win a second term. “what if”— why do you think that Nancy Pelosi wants to invoke the 25th Amendment ?. She is SO AFRAID that if her gut feeling is right that Trump win's a second term , which is VARY LIKELY , if Pelosi is still Speaker of the House . All the “what if”— Nancy will try to remove Trump next year in 2021 . In 2016, Trump won 2.9 million fewer votes than Hillary Clinton, yet he won 306 electoral votes to Hillary Clinton’s 232. If in 2020 Trump can limit his Electoral College losses to his very most threatened states—Michigan and Arizona—he can still eke out a 279 to 259 win. (Trump also got a single electoral vote from Maine in 2016. If he loses that, too, he can still squeak to victory, or 278 to 260.) Republican voter registrations in the county, which is 90% white and 76% non-college-educated – key Trump demographics – are up from 39% to 44% since the last election. With most of the recent polls have shown Trump trailing his Democrat opponent Joe Biden by around ten points. There is a Rasmussen poll showing a gap of just three points. On the other hand, a Quinnipiac University Poll has Biden ahead by 15 points. It is true that due to the American electoral system last time round Trump won even though Hillary Clinton got a higher national vote share. But she was only ahead by a couple of points. The Democrats are sure to win California (with 55 electoral college votes) and New York (with 29 electoral college votes) by huge margins. But then if they lose Texas (38 votes) and Florida (29 votes) much more narrowly they find they have millions of votes in the wrong places. The other problem is that Trump has a lot followers , I mean by the millions , I counted 80 million . Biden can't get a rally that has barely 10 people . With a lot followers the polls are often wrong . In November of 2020, the United States will once again have their election for a new president. Consultants hired by the Democratic party have told the Democrats their only chance of winning the presidential election is to have a Democratic candidate that is the duplicate character to Donald Trump in every way, shape, and form. Their declared candidate, Joe Biden, is not that man. Biden is so far gone since he ran with Obama during the 2011 re-election . But Biden still has the last gasp .
