UFO DISCLOSURE

(Obtained by ABC News)
The US has a long history of apparent mysterious aircraft sightings, including the discovery of strange metal debris in 1947 by a rancher in Roswell, New Mexico.News reports at the time said it was a "flying saucer", but the military maintains it was just a crashed weather balloon.  You have to explain to me why you'd want to keep this a secret in the first place and why it would only be your country who were in contact with those aliens. Then you have to explain to me how you plan to keep this a secret past any and all automatic declassification dates etc.  The US Department of Defense has admitted that it used to fund a covert program  to investigate sightings of unidentified flying objects (UFOs), according to multiple media reports. The so-called (1)>>Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program ran from 2007 to 2012, with $22m in annual funding, according to a New York Times report published on Saturday. Although the Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Programme ended five years ago, when US defence officials shifted attention and funding to other priorities, it remains unclear if it has continued to investigate sightings of mysterious vehicles. (2)>>The program ran from 2007 to 2012 with $22m (£15m) in annual funding, which was hidden in US Defense Department budgets worth hundreds of billions of dollars, The New York Times reported. Initial funding came largely at the request of former Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid, the Nevada Democrat long known for his enthusiasm for space phenomena, the newspaper said. The “unidentified aerial phenomena” (3)>>claimed to have been seen by pilots and other military personnel appeared vastly more advanced than those in American or foreign arsenals. In some cases they maneuvered so unusually and so fast that they seemed to defy the laws of physics, according to multiple sources directly involved in or briefed on the effort and a review of unclassified Defense Department and congressional documents. The revelation of the program could give a credibility boost to UFO theorists, who have long pointed to public accounts by military pilots and others describing phenomena that defy obvious explanation, and could fuel demands for increased transparency about the scope and findings of the Pentagon effort, which focused some of its inquiries into sci-fi sounding concepts like "wormholes" and "warp drives." The program also drafted a series of what the office referred to as "queried unverified event under evaluation," QUEU reports, in which pilots and other personnel who had reported encounters were interviewed about their experiences. According to a Pentagon official, the AATIP program was ended “in the 2012 time frame,” but it has recently attracted attention because of the resignation in early October of Luis Elizondo, the career intelligence officer who ran the initiative. In his resignation letter, addressed to Secretary of Defense James Mattis, Elizondo said the efforts of his program were not being taken sufficiently seriously. The Pentagon official could not confirm Mattis had actually seen the letter. He described scores of unexplained sightings by Navy pilots and other observers of aircraft with capabilities far beyond what is currently considered aerodynamically possible. Recently, a New York Times article asked why UFO sightings were more prominent than ever and much more numerous across the United States than anywhere else. Pope Francis, when once asked about the possibility of alien life, replied that it was a subject that he knew little about, but then joked about baptizing ‘little green men.’ What, however, if the subject was far from a laughing matter? What if, behind it, lay something with which we are all too familiar in the spiritual realm?  What if the UFO phenomenon was part of a wider deception that, for some at least, has blurred the lines between reality and fantasy, science and pseudoscience,  (4)>>confusing a vision of a God-created universe with one out of control—or, worse, in the hands of malignant forces?   Either way the revelation is likely to provide some satisfaction to UFO enthusiasts, often dismissed as conspiracy theorists.

Oumuamu' STRANGE VISITOR .
strange cigar shaped space rock?
or ALIEN SPACESHIP?
Besides our American fighter jets chasing (5)>>FOO FIGHTERS on radar . This year we seem to have been visited by an "interstellar object" that entered our solar system at a velocity of about 196,000 MPH . The "reports" have it as been "tracked" for sometime. The object in question is an asteroid from another star system currently zipping past Jupiter at about 196,000 miles per hour, too fast to be trapped by the sun’s gravitational pull. First discovered in mid-October by astronomers at the Pan-STARRS project at the University of Hawaii, the 800-meter-long, 80-meter-wide, cigar-shaped rock is, technically (6)>>speaking, weird as hell—and that’s precisely why some scientists think it’s not a natural object. The object sparked interest because it has a "highly unusual structure" for an asteroid, which tend to be round rather than long and thin. 'Oumuamua's shape is described as "an elongated cigar shape, hundreds of meters in length but with width and height perhaps only one tenth as long." According to a statement released by Breakthrough Listen, "Researchers working on long-distance space transportation have previously suggested that a cigar or needle shape is the most likely architecture for an interstellar spacecraft, since this would minimize friction and damage from interstellar gas and dust. While a natural origin is more likely, there is currently no consensus on what that origin might have been, and Breakthrough Listen is well positioned to explore the possibility that (7)>>''Oumuamua could be an artifact."But on Thursday scientists announced initial scans of four-bands of radio waves have failed to produce evidence of  life – but the search continues.Andrew Siemion, Director of Berkeley SETI Research Center, said: “It is great to see data pouring in from observations of this novel and interesting source.“Our team is excited to see what additional observations and analyses will reveal”. If researchers were to pick up any radio signals form the alien object the evidence would be monumental, agreed Avi Loeb, professor of astronomy at Harvard University. The six hour observation gathered 90 terabytes of data and scientist will now examine the information the test gathered.Three more observations of the unusual space rock will take lace in coming months. If the asteroid is a probe, it will be the news story of the millennia. It will also bring up the question as to whether it’s from an innately friendly or hostile civilization.

notes and comments.
(1)>>Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program . In some of the most important UFO news to be released in years, the New York Times and Politico have posted stories on a secret UFO program ran by the Department of Defense, who worked with Bigelow Aerospace. The program was initiated by Harry Reid who was convinced to undergo the project by Robert Bigelow, and partially influenced by a pro-UFO comment made to him by astronaut John Glenn. Reid told the New York Times he is in no way embarassed by funding this important project. The public first heard of the project during the press conference announcing the To The Stars Academy (TTSA), created by Tom DeLonge. Luis Elizondo, who ran the UFO department, retired in October to join TTSA and revealed the existence of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, the progam to look into UFO reports.  The VIDEO { https://youtu.be/tf1uLwUTDA0} shows the UFO  on target taken from the cockpit camera, shows a glowing object traveling at high speeds while rotating and includes audio of Navy pilots struggling to process what they are seeing.  In an interview on the Times “The Daily” podcast, he said that these videos are just a small sampling of the evidence the Defense Department has collected while documenting alleged UFO activity. (2)>>The program ran from 2007 to 2012 with $22m (£15m) in annual funding. This is an area vastly, and intentionally under reported, just looking at some of the testimony at the national press club conference on UFOs in 2012 tells us this much. Many of the witnesses and their statements would be headline news, but it has long been apparent that what the important news should be is dictated to the media. As for them saying they were no longer investigating UFOs- from the wealth of contemporay examples to learn from, this can only mean "we are investigating really intensely and it is so important, and not the business of the public, that we are also doing it in secret".  We also know, judging from Rumsfelds statement in 2001 that the Pentagon couldn't account for over 3 trillion, yes, 3 trillion dollars- something that never got followed up or investigated, there is plenty of spare cash for secret operations and investigations. (3)>>claimed to have been seen by pilots and other military personnel . Cmdr. David Fravor on Saturday amid breaking news that, for the first time, a spokesperson confirmed that a program to research UFOs existed at the Pentagon. Fravor’s encounter was one the Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program was investigating, according to reports by The New York Times and The Washington Post. This is what Fravor says happened. He and another pilot were with the USS Nimitz training in F/A-18F Super Hornets about 100 miles out in the Pacific Ocean when someone on the Navy cruiser USS Princeton contacted them by radio about mysterious aircraft. The ship had been tracking objects that were described as being white, 40 feet long and shaped like Tic Tacs that would appear suddenly 80,000 feet up, then descend toward the ocean and hover at 20,000 feet before dropping out of radar range or blasting back up.The ship and the pilots worked together to track one of the aircraft and when Fravor got close enough to examine one, it peeled away.“It accelerated like nothing I’ve ever seen,” he told The New York Times. “I have no idea what I saw.”(4)>>confusing a vision of a God-created universe with one out of control— Contrary to the popular idea that , God only created life on one planet for me limits god . While , think this , if the creator put life on other planets , would that alone be more "proof" of intelligent design? If they {creationists}  say that would not be possible , we are limiting the creation process to one planet ,   Creationists  have then given more credence to the evolutionary model  how life got here . It works like Ockham's razor,  Suppose there exist two explanations for an occurrence. In this case the simpler one is usually better. Another way of saying it is that the more assumptions you have to make, the more unlikely an explanation is.  5)>>FOO FIGHTERS . Sorry not the rock band here . Originally Foo Fighters , was used by Allied aircraft pilots in World War II to describe various UFOs or mysterious aerial phenomena seen in the skies over both the European and Pacific theaters of operations. Though "foo fighter" initially described a type of UFO reported and named by the U.S. 415th Night Fighter Squadron, the term was also commonly used to mean any UFO sighting from that period. Formally reported from November 1944 onwards, witnesses often assumed that the foo fighters were secret weapons employed by the enemy. Interestingly enough, with all the sightings and reports, and all the qun cameras and high altitude photographs, no truly GOOD pictures of Foo Fighters from the period have surfaced. The photo at the top of the page showing what is alledged to be both a wedge-shaped and spherical-shaped Foo Fighter together with two Japanese planes is perhaps the most often depicted when citing Foo Fighters. The photo, from the 1975 photo-history by G. De Turris & S. Fusco, "Obiettivo sugli UFO," has both its supporters and detractors. If the picture was taken by Japanese photographers, which it surely must have been, it would seem, except for a quest for truth, they would have no vested interest in continuing or falsely perpetrating a myth. If, however, the photo was altered after the fact that would be another story. The question to be asked, if you were going to alter a picture, why start with such a dumb photograph when there must be thousands upon thousands of other pictures one could select? So what were these UFOs? The military decided they might be an unusual electrical or optical effect that might be related to ball lightning or St Elmo's fire. St. Elmo's fire is known to form as an electrical glow around the wing tips of planes, but is not known to form into the shape of a sphere. Ball lightning is spherical and has been observed near aircraft, but it is short-lived and is not known to fly in formation with planes.(6)>>speaking, weird as hell—and that’s precisely why some scientists think it’s not a natural object.  At the moment there is still no "consensus" on the origins of Oumuamua. Professor Stephen Hawking said: "Researchers working on long-distance space transportation have previously suggested that a cigar or needle shape is the most likely architecture for an interstellar spacecraft, since this would minimise friction and damage from interstellar gas and dust."Oumuamua means "a messenger from afar arriving first" in Hawaiian. Commenting on the results, Andrew Siemion, director of Berkeley SETI Research Center, told the Mail Online: "To find technologically advanced life elsewhere could suggest that intelligence is a defining characteristic of the universe. (7)>>''Oumuamua could be an artifact." According to reports, the object's official name is A/2017 UI. It was spotted by the Pan-Starrs project at the University of Hawaii back in October and is currently spinning on its axis every seven hours. It's also travelling at up to 196,000mph. Its high speed suggests that it's not gravitationally bound to the sun but instead is destined to head back out of the solar system. After examining how the object reflects sunlight, scientists found that the strange rock,is probably coated with a carbon-rich schmutz in a layer that’s more than a foot thick. The residue likely formed as interstellar radiation bombarded the object’s surface as it tumbled through the void. The results, published on Monday in Nature Astronomycould help explain why the object—likely an amalgam of rock, ice, and dust—didn’t spew out plumes of water vapor as it flew by the sun, even as its surface reached hundreds of degrees Fahrenheit.

Trump's Jerusalem "decision "

What a "historic" week for the Trump administration
While embedded in the " Russia investigation ", Donald Trump pulled another newsworthy distraction . Donald Trump's decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, a move that has led to deadly clashes across the occupied Palestinian territories. Eight countries called for the emergency meeting at the UN headquarters in New York on Friday, as Palestinians protested across the occupied West Bank, Jerusalem and Gaza Strip against the US president's decision throughout the day.Several countries resoundingly condemned the unilateral move by the US to recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital. While many people who have some biblical motivations see it as "God's instrument " in action . (1)>>OR rooted in biblical prophecy. There is a word of caution . It all felt carefully staged to send a strong message to Christian evangelical voters and their leaders that this is their victory and Trump is their man.Its probably one bad decision ,but it reveals who maybe behind Trump's election  win , here in the United States . The decision also holds important political implications for Vice President Mike Pence, the only administration official in camera view as Trump delivered his announcement that the United States would not only recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital, but would begin steps toward moving the U.S. Embassy there from Tel Aviv. I honestly this is what I REALLY think that it The Israeli government, (1.2)>> Bibi  Netanyahu  is silly not to understand Trumps sneaky plan of starting a war with the
Palestinians. It will set off the angry Palestinians. Another intifada.    Simple declare Jerusalem the capital, it starts up terrorism, it gives Israel the right to bomb Gaza. Most people appreciate that Jerusalem is historically and culturally significant in Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Fewer people are aware of the fact the that the success of a two-state solution in Israel/Palestine hinges on the viability of East Jerusalem becoming the capital of a future Palestinian state. Trump's Jerusalem designation recklessly reverses seven years of sound U.S. policy.  Trump's proclamation sabotages the two-state solution, pulls the plug on the mid-east peace process and needlessly incites a new intifada.   Violence has already broken out in the West Bank and will only grow.

Jerusalem a holy city rooted in war .
Jerusalem is such a divided
city,  that to claim it now
is no longer possible .
I have say this first of all . I understand the Israeli zeal for Jerusalem . It for a "time" granted 2700 years ago was the religious center for the Kingdom of Judah . It was the holy city for the Jewish tradition right up to (2)>>Bar Kokhba revolt in 132 AD – 135 AD. For nearly 2000 years Jerusalem fell to different conquerors . The Romans , the Byzantines , the Arabs in the 6th Century AD, the Crusaders . Most of the city and its history had been in Muslim hands up until the latter part of the last century . On the Temple Mount where once stood  King Herod's and , yes the legendary Temple of Solomon stood , built up from the remains of a old Roman Christian Church stands the center of the controversy  the  Al Aqsa Mosque . Both Israelis and Palestinians claim the city as their political capital and as a sacred religious site. Israel controls the entirety of the city. Any peace deal would need to resolve that. The city’s status has been disputed, at least officially, since the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. Before that, the United Nations had designated Jerusalem as a special international zone. During the war, Israel seized the city’s western half. It seized the eastern half during the (2.1)>>next Arab-Israeli war, in 1967. Jerusalem is a city ensconced in geopolitics and divisiveness, both within the Jewish community itself and certainly in the surrounding Arab nations, many of which are against the Jewish people. Israel's ancient capital has been conquered more than any other city in history.  it's mentioned more than 640 times in the Old Testament and not once by name in the Quran .From 638 CE until 1917 (with the exception of the Crusader occupation from 1099 to 1187), Jerusalem was controlled by various Islamic dynasties based in Syria, Egypt and Turkey. While Jerusalem remained a city of pilgrimage, none of these Islamic dynasties made Jerusalem their capital. The only other people in the last 3,000 years to have Jerusalem as a capital are the Crusaders who founded the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem from 1099-1187.For most of this 1,300-year period, despite its status as the third holiest Islamic city, Jerusalem remained a backwater, run-down town under Islamic control. Exceptions were during both the Umayyid period (7th to mid-8th century) and the Mamluk period (mid-13th to early-16th century), when major Islamic building projects were carried out in the city. Israel routinely describes the city, with its Jewish, Muslim and Christian holy places, as its “united and eternal” capital. But its history is inextricably bound up with the bigger picture of the conflict. Seventy years ago, at the violent end of British rule, when the UN voted to partition Palestine into Jewish and Arab states, Jerusalem was defined as a separate entity under international supervision.

Whats NEXT?
Trump’s announcement can also be seen as a symbol of favoritism from the purported mediator, a coat of many colors to provide cover to Benjamin Netanyahu. Israel’s Prime Minister is besieged by investigations, rising opposition forces, and international isolation. The decision by Trump has been met with worldwide condemnation.  Not only do international U.S. allies oppose the move, so did U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Defense Secretary James Mattis, knowing Americans are now an even bigger target. Trump has completely undercut the few allies we have in the middle east, like the King of Jordan.   How can any Arab nation trust the Trump Administration to be an honest broker in mide-east peace negotiations or any other negotiations? If the embassy moves , I can only foresee trouble . Both Gazans and Israelis are concerned that the situation is eerily similar to that of the last conflict, Operation Protective Edge in 2014, and one small miscalculation will lead to another deadly war.   Tania Shifer, a resident in Sderot, told The Jerusalem Post that hearing sirens on an almost daily basis after years of calm has unnerved her and has traumatized her four year old sister. The Trump administration’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and move the U.S. Embassy, has also a bizarre twist ,  there has provoked widespread opposition among Christians across the Middle East. When Vice President Pence arrives next week on a trip touted as a chance to check on the region’s persecuted Christians, he will be facing an awkward backlash.  In the city, the writing is on the wall: “Mr PENCE you are not welcome,” someone has scrawled in red spray paint on the 26-foot-high concrete Israeli security barrier that separates Bethlehem from Jerusalem. On Sunday, demonstrators staged a sit-in outside the Church of the Nativity, built on the site thought to be the birthplace of Jesus. “We will not receive Mr. Pence here,” said Saleh Bandak, a Bethlehem-born Christian politician who attended Sunday’s protest. Interstingly enough just prior to the Trump announcement about Jerusalem . American Troops set up a military base in Israel . Curiously was this base set up in advance for the embassy move ? The Next question is on which side of Jerusalem will the embassy exist ? A Divided city , the Jewish sector , the  Christian , or Muslim ? During the Reagan administration, a piece of West Jerusalem was leased to the American government and may become the new location of the US embassy to Israel. However, several Palestinian families say the land in West Jerusalem is theirs. Undoubtedly, Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital will further isolate the US from the rest of the world. Given the administration's rejection of Palestinian claims to East Jerusalem, in violation of international law which recognises East Jerusalem as belonging to the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Washington has signalled its abandonment of a two-state solution more than ever. The American president refrained from explicitly stating that the two-state solution is the only path to a peace agreement, and said the U.S. supports such a solution only if it agreed upon by both sides.Trump also announced that he has instructed the relevant teams to begin planning the relocation of the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, yet did not state when such a move would take place. The move is risky as a foreign policy  move .

NOTES AND COMMENTS:
(1)>>OR rooted in biblical prophecy. There is a word of caution . Anyone wondering what the true impetus was behind U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision on Wednesday to unilaterally recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital needed only to view the image of the president when he made the formal announcement. The announcement also took place just before Pence is set to visit Israel for three days, from December 17-19. This guarantees enhanced media coverage for the Pence trip, where he will certainly be greeted as a conquering hero – pleasing evangelicals even more. While much has been made of the influence of Jewish megadonor Sheldon Adelson in Trump’s move, and his Jewish son-in-law Jared Kushner’s words of support – flouting the conventional wisdom that he would be dismayed that it would derail his 11-month attempt to restart Israeli-Palestinian peace talks – the approbation from Israel and pro-Trump American Jews seems to be a happy bonus to the main objective.  Trump’s bigotry almost certainly factors into his decision to recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. A man who has made Islamophobic comments, and clearly sees Arabs and Muslims as the enemy, will not be motivated to act in the interests of Palestinians. Added to this, his son-in-law cum Middle East adviser, Jared Kushner, acted as co-director of the Charles and Seryl Kushner Foundation from 2006 and 2015, which donated at least $38,000 to the construction of a Jewish seminary in the settlement of Bet El and another $20,000 to projects in other settlements.Kushner has previously described the Israel-Palestine conflict as being similar to a “real estate issue”. Reports suggest he’s in the midst of developing is own peace process alongside Saudi Arabia for the region. It’s obvious that Palestinians have no friends in the Trump administration – any plan is almost certain to do more harm than good.  (1.2)>> Bibi  Netanyahu. Speaking after the visit of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Brussels, the EU’s foreign policy chief, Frederica Mogherini made an astonishing declaration of ignorance. Again. “We always say that the Two State Solution is the only realistic one,” she said. “I have not heard by anyone or from anyone, not only in the last weeks but in the last decades any other idea than two States to preserve Israeli security. The Palestinians need to have their own country under their own authority.”  If we really want to BELIEVE Netanyahu ,Urging the EU to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, Mr Netanyahu said: “While I respect Europe, I am not prepared to accept a double standard from it.”  It is a pity the Israeli Prime Minister does not make more frequent visits to point out blatant hypocrisy. The Israelis don't want a two state solution  , since the Israel envisioned by Zionists consists of boarders from the "river of Egypt - to the Euphrates " .  (2)>>Bar Kokhba revolt in....  The Bar Kokhba revolt was a major turning point in Jewish history. It was the final crisis that scattered the people of Israel into a diaspora that would last nearly 2,000 years. Yes, the famous destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans in 70 CE, which left the Second Temple in ruins, also sent people fleeing to the diaspora, but the brief attempt to throw off Roman rule in 130 CE was the last straw. Enormous numbers of Jews, both soldiers and civilians, were slaughtered. Many of the survivors were sold into slavery. Others fled a nation that had been decimated by war. It was a loss that completely severed a people from its roots. (2.1)>>next Arab-Israeli war, in 1967.The six days of the 1967 war were the most important — triumphant, even — in modern Israeli history. But after 50 years, Israel is still struggling with them.Jews took control of Jerusalem for the first time in two millenniums. Israel went from fully fearing for its survival to controlling more land than it had dreamed of.But the accidental war and stunning victory also made Israelis occupiers. For with that land — the urban villages of East Jerusalem, the sprawling hills and metropolises of the West Bank, the concrete density of the Gaza Strip — came people: Palestinians now numbering more than 4.5 million. The Jewish loss of Jerusalem . It is worth noting that the inaugural PLO Covenant of 1964 does not mention Jerusalem. Only after the city fell back to Jewish control did the updated PLO Covenant of 1968 mention Jerusalem by name. One might have expected that the Israelis would immediately expel the Muslims and re-establish control of the single holiest Jewish site. But in an act of what can only be described as unprecedented tolerance, Israel handed over control of the site to the Wakf, the Muslim Religious Trust. Today, although Israel technically claims sovereignty over the site, the defacto reality since 1967 has been that the Muslims have control over the site, to the point where Jews are forbidden to pray on the Temple Mount (but permitted to visit).

The GREAT TAX DEBATE .

When it comes to Tax cutting ,
both parties suffer from
senility
When it comes to cutting taxes , we are being lied , have been lied by both political parties . Lied for a long time . Sorry Americans , you are not getting your taxes cut by any degree , the nation has (1.1)>>to pay down a huge deficit . Their a trying paying down the last decade war on terror that is still costing us taxpayers "trillions" of dollars still  . The main problem with our nations government is that its giving out trillions in handouts to other nations while the tax burden has been forked on the backs of Americans . Yes your taxes are too high , your wages are too low .  For decades, both Democrats and Republicans have used the tax code as a way to hide spending. Instead of authorizing money for a program aimed at achieving some public policy goal, lawmakers rejiggered the tax code, adding special breaks here, refundable tax credits there, or punitive taxes somewhere else. Mr. Trump's attempt for Christmas "relief" is nothing but a spin on what (1.2) >>Mr. Obama did back in 2010 , what Mr. Bush did back in 2000. HONESTLY FOLKS we are SUCKERS when the government says their going to cut any taxes . If you look at at glance taxes have risen since 2000 . YES , despite what the government says when they are going to cut taxes , its noting but a farce . The reason here is that cutting Federal Taxes on people will not reduce State taxes . What ever state you live in in this country , everything the Feds cut into taxes , the Local & State governments fill in the gap of revenue losses , they start to raise your state taxes just to keep local governments running .  Analysis
of six decades of data found that top tax rates "have had little association with saving, investment, or productivity growth." However, the study found that reductions of capital gains taxes and top marginal rate taxes have led to greater income inequality. Past studies cited in the report have suggested that a broad-based tax rate reduction can have "a small to modest, positive effect on economic growth" or "no effect on economic growth."  The Federal government is left to pay off a deficit that I think soon Mr. Trump will deliver some scary news to us Americans like cutting Entitlements , budget reductions. MORE EVER  Millions of taxpayers will see a tax increase in 2017: they just won't realize it immediately. That's because the tax increase won't be found with a bump in income tax brackets (more on tax brackets from Claudia Hill here) or a rate increase but a change in the cap on wages subject to Social Security taxes. When congressional Republicans tried to repeal Obamacare, Mitch McConnell compared the challenge to solving a Rubik’s cube — (1.3)>>and he ended up stumpedNow, GOP leaders have taken up the cube yet again as they try to solve the fiendishly difficult legislative puzzle of tax reform. The party’s politicians, experts, and activists have long been more animated by the tax issue than by health care, so it would seem simple to unite them around one bill. If the modern Republican Party can be said to stand for anything, it is tax relief. (2)>>Yet as the Republican effort to write and pass tax legislation develops, it looks increasingly possible
— and perhaps even likely — that it, like the health care overhaul attempt that preceded it, will end in failure and disappointment.  As long as the tax reform bill doesn't simplify things with tax cuts for everyone, it won't stand a chance of passing. And to do that, the GOP needs a captain who can set out a clear course. What we're all seeing now is what happens when Congress doesn't have a good enough leader to keep it focused on a national goal. Without that, each locally elected member simply starts a mutiny, looking out for his or her own constituents.(2.1)>>The Republicans, however, could champion cutting taxes by a lot more than $1.5 trillion. That’s because their leaders are predicting that tax reductions, especially (3)>>chopping corporate tax rates WILL create more jobs and stir the "economy" ? Today, Republicans extol the virtues of lowering marginal tax rates, citing as their model the Tax Reform Act of 1986, which lowered the top individual income tax rate to just 28 percent from 50 percent, and the corporate tax rate to 34 percent from 46 percent. What follows, they say, would be an economic boon. Indeed, textbook tax theory says that lowering marginal tax rates while holding revenue constant unambiguously raises growth. There unfortunately isn't an easy answer, as research has been mixed as to whether tax cuts definitively result in stronger economic growth. The "economic theory " here is that  cutting taxes would put more money in the consumers hands , but as I stated above any tax breaks from the Feds are stalled by local and state taxes ..In 1980, 1984 and 1988, Ronald Reagan and George Bush won three presidential elections by promising to cut taxes and then cutting them. George Bush raised taxes and lost the next election.    { READ MY LIPS ! NO NEW TAXES } Donald Trump, who has refused to release his tax returns, says under his latest tax plan (4)>>you will be better off and he will be worse off. “Tax reform will protect low-income and middle-income households, not the wealthy and well-connected,” he said Wednesday. “And it’s not good for me, believe me.”
NOTES AND COMMENTS:
(1)>>to pay down a huge deficit . A few months ago , Treasury Department announced  Friday that the U.S. government ran a budget deficit of $666 billion dollars in the 2017 fiscal year, which ended September 30. Trump’s Treasury Secretary, Steven Mnuchin, has said economic growth spurred by lower tax rates would offset losses to federal revenue and actually reduce the debt. Most economists don’t buy that resurrection of “supply side” or “trickle down” budget logic, with the majority of 26 surveyed by Bloomberg saying a version of the tax plan floated last month would increase both annual deficits and the total national debt even more dramatically. (1.2) >>Mr. Obama did back in 2010 , what Mr. Bush did back in 2000.  As far back as 2007, candidate Barack Obama said it was time to raise income taxes on high earners, whom he classified as couples making at least $250,000 and single people making $200,000. Because of the way tax laws were passed during the George W. Bush administration, taxes were set to go up for all income levels back in 2010. President Obama, however, agreed to a compromise with Republicans in Congress, and they passed legislation to let the income tax rates continue unchanged for another two years.   The Bush tax cuts were heavily skewed toward the wealthy with more than half of the entire benefit going only to the richest 20 percent. President Obama’s tax cuts, on the other hand, are distributed more evenly. Eighty-five percent of the benefits of the Making Work Pay tax credit, for example, went to the bottom 80 percent of households, and because the very wealthy don’t pay payroll taxes on all of their income, the payroll tax cut, too, benefits the middle class much more than the Bush tax cuts did.Second, the Obama tax cuts are temporary.    (1.3)>>and he ended up stumped. The “idea” behind House Speaker Paul Ryan’s Folly remains a $5 trillion reallocation of wealth to corporations and rich individuals. Part of the bonanza is to be redirected from today’s upper middle-class, a tiny bit will be raised by closing corporate loopholes, and the lion’s share will come from probably doubling the federal deficit. The alternative minimum tax — gone, undoing the handiwork of left-winger Richard Nixon. The inheritance tax will be phased out. One change makes sure President Donald Trump pays virtually no tax — in the one tax return of his we’ve seen, most of the taxes he owed was AMT — and the other means his children will inherit billions tax-free. (2)>>Yet as the Republican effort to write and pass tax legislation develops, it looks increasingly possible .  This all goes without saying, but the point of the GOP's tax cut extravaganza is more about a poorly analyzed populist movement against "big" government - which by their definition is anything that doesn't benefit them or their ideals directly. The fastest way to get this country moving again is to remove Republicans from Congress. They are holding up tax hikes on the rich and infrastructure stimulus, both of which would be no-brainers if far-right radicals were not in charge of the Republican Party.Likewise, tax cuts are also stimulative if they increase the budget deficit. However, taxes are mainly redistributing money from some to others.  Our taxes get paid back out to retirees, doctors, military companies, etc.  The multiplier is based on what extent the recipients will spend it.  Income tax cuts for the wealthy gives those folks more to save or bid up stock prices with; they don't spend as much on goods and services as poorer folks.  On the other hand, payroll tax cuts can be used for consumption by poorer folks.  Hence, the much larger multiplier for payroll taxes than income taxes most economists have found.(2.1)>>The Republicans, however, could champion cutting taxes by a lot more than $1.5 trillion.  These tax expenditures force tax rates up, which in turn increases the pressure to add more special tax breaks. The goal of reform should be to move the tax code in the exact opposite direction — toward lower rates and fewer "tax expenditures." In other words, a flat tax that raises enough money to fund government programs that people are willing to pay for, and does so in the most efficient and least economically distorting way.  (3)>>chopping corporate tax rates WILL create more jobs and stir the "economy" ?. Some basic facts .The primary purpose of the Republican Party is to help the wealthy keep more of their own money.  They have created an entire mythology (e.g., tax cuts increase revenues) to dupe the masses into supporting them. 1) The US spends more per capita on education than the UK, Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Korea & Japan. In fact, the US spends more than the Japan & Korea combined. 2) The US is 4th in the world in worker productivity per hour to Norway, Luxembourg & the Netherlands, and no one works more hours than US workers. 3) Why are we are taxed more it seems First among all industrial nations the US spends more on military . Mr. Trump increased military spending this year , so WHO IS GOING TO PAY FOR THE INCREASE IN MILITARY SPENDING????? THINK !!!!  (4)>>you will be better off and he will be worse off. With those axioms prevailing, we can now understand that he is lying about the rich not getting any benefits from these new tax proposals, and be assured that it will have a direct correlation to his own financial portfolio. He doesn't care because by the time it gets to be factual knowledge to the public, if and when the lawmakers make repeals or changes, he will already have profited in the millions on millions of dollars he succeeded in hording off the new proposals and will not care about whatever they can accuse him of after the presidency is over. His original plan was to run 4 years, doubling on his $3.5+billion and run off laughing afterwards.
