The " Run Down" on Kerry.

This week can be said at best as "evidence" how much distracted Washington D.C. is . President Barack Obama's intelligence chief and his secretary of state offered what sounded like dramatically divergent accounts of the terror threat facing the United States on Thursday -- though Secretary of
State ***John Kerry's office says they were talking about different things.
Are these politicians all insane? They are playing Russian roulette with our national security for Americans at a time when terrorism is at an all-time high. You know this might be a bit strange , but at the same time the Federal Government can't fund Home Land Security (More Below) . Director of National Intelligence James Clapper told the Senate Armed Services Committee that "when the final accounting is done, 2014 will have been the most lethal year for global terrorism in the 45 years such data has been compiled."To hear Kerry say the opposite is barf material.......in fact, by selecting out Americans at risk and suggesting that we are in "our shell"....even though several Americans lost their lives in Islamic State (This is the biggest threat since the Nazis, and it's a much bigger threat than that. But, that depends on what side you're viewing it from.   hands....Kerry INSULTS REASON.Incredible! James Clapper testifying before Congress and speaking the truth rather than his usual lies. He and John Kerry need to get on the same page. Their testimonies are more than a little at odds with one another. One is lying. I always thought that Secretary of the Sate John Kerry often had a habit of taking things out of context as they really are ,but to say something like we are any safer is vary delusional . The Issue of HOMELAND SECURITY has been chained up over the Obama's immigration bill , rightfully the GOP has to come at odds with the President regarding amnesty for well over a million immigrants who came here illegally , there is also the issue with boarder security . I NEVER presumed that we are any way secure by our government. The southern boarder crossings are a dangerous risk , and have been since September 11th, 2001. Amnesty must be carefully guarded ,the government has to make sure that who is coming in our country is really from South America ,  Mexico or Central America .
Come on we are safe any way.
(1)>
This battle has been brewing in Congress for months, since President Obama issued a series of executive actions giving legal status to millions of undocumented immigrants.Democrats have successfully stopped bills that seek to overturn his actions, so to thwart the them, some Republicans have suggested defunding DHS, the home of Immigration and Customs Enforcement . (4)> There was a partial government shutdown  that was narrowly avoided late Friday evening as House Minority Leader (2)>  Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) made a surprise move to back legislation funding the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for one week. Pelosi’s support helped Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) move the one-week bill through the House in a 357-60 vote just after 10 p.m., with 55 Republicans and 5 Democrats voting against it. The Senate passed the one-week funding bill in a voice vote.In the hours before the vote, the House was in chaos, adding to the anxiety that thousands of Homeland Security employees must feel, watching C-SPAN from home while Congress voted on whether they would be paid next week. With DHS releasing a 47-page contingency plan spelling out which employees would have been “essential” and forced to work without pay at agencies like the Coast Guard, Secret Service and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Short of flying giraffes in the chamber of the House, nothing should surprise Americans about their Congress. The latest chapter in the Washington D.C.  high dysfunction as the "governing" parties  is the suggestion by some not to fund the Department of Homeland Security. Certainly, there will be a lot of foreign policy cooks in the  administration. Kerry is one of them.
NOTES AND COMMENTS:
***"Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said 2014 was the most lethal year for global terrorism in 45 years the data has been collected." I paused the button to re-hear John Kerry's that “despite ISIL,” “we are actually living in a period of less daily threat to Americans,” James Clapper contradicted Kerry’s “wishful thinking”. (1)> Well they had to try to apply pressure to the GOP in Congress. It is very important that they magnify the danger of what happens when the GOP shuts down HS over the amnesty issue.(2)> It was Pelosi that caved. Remember, she refused to support the three week Republican DHS funding thinking that Boehner would cave and bring the clean Senate bill to the floor. But Boehner didn't bring the clean bill to the floor after the three week bill failed to pass. Then the Senate passes a one week extension just before the shutdown would have kicked in. Obviously, since the one week extension passed the Senate first, the Democrats would have been blamed for the shutdown if the House failed to pass it. Pelosi caved and ordered the Dems to vote for it. She lied to them and told them Boehner will bring the clean bill up for a vote next week. That ain't gonna happen. Pelosi lies to her members just like Boehner does.(4)> There is enough $$$$$ coming in right now to operate the country efficiently on every level, be in the black, cut taxes and have a surplus. We are being had people and we are laying on our backs letting it happen. Shut down HOMELAND SECURITY? One of the first rules in Sales. CREATE FEAR!! We are about to be sold something that we don't need or want, MORE TAXES!

Fear mongering , so called Anti - Nuclear Iran.

Benjamin Netanyahu should be
more worried about
Pakistan's Nuclear weapons.
There no reason  why Iran can't have nuclear energy . Why there is such an American Hypocrisy towards (1)> Iran seems beyond what is logical . Six world powers want Iran to curb its nuclear program in return for the lifting of sanctions. While our news media continues to report about sanctions, for decades as much as we know nuclear nonproliferation with Pakistan  and India  came by two very different measures. Despite warnings from the US intelligence community, the US has to take principal credit for these nations having nuclear weapons. . Iran, a party to the Non-Proliferation Treaty, has been threatened with sanctions, if not actual violence, for its pursuit of uranium enrichment, although there is no clear evidence that Iran is pursuing a nuclear weapons program. So who is benefiting from this? I have wondered just why there was (2)>  "favoritism" for Pakistan , and India for the enrichment of uranium 3, knowing that Pakistan harbors a dangerous element of Islamic terrorism ?  There is also a great hypocrisy knowing that In 1974 in the Rajasthan Desert, India announced it had tested three different nuclear devices underground. The difference between then and now is that India is finally admitting that it has a stockpile of nuclear weapons (currently estimated at about 60 for India and 25 or fewer for Pakistan as compared to over 15,000 for the US). Up until 1993, the CIA claimed India was not assembling nuclear weapons . The United States and Israel jump  respond to Iran's nuclear activities. As the argument has raged, the United States has tightened its already robust sanctions regime against the Islamic Republic, Of course, it is easy to understand why Israel wants to remain the sole nuclear power in the region and why it is willing to use force to secure that status. In 1981, Israel bombed Iraq to prevent a challenge to its nuclear monopoly. It did the same to Syria in 2007 and is now considering similar action against Iran. The White House is negotiating with Iran on its nuclear program  and has rejected calls for additional sanctions on the regime. US Secretary of State John Kerry rebuffed Mr Netanyahu, saying: "He may have a judgment that just may not be correct here." . Remember there was no American government sanctions  against India and Pakistan . Pakistan harbors extremists , terrorists . Why this was overlooked amazes me. As far as I am concerned, justice should be equal to all. Every body knows that Israel seeing Iran as enemy and threat to her, Iran seeing Israel as threat to her too, they also belong in one region (Middle East). If Israel and Big for nothing superpower Nations should have a nuclear weapon, just to protect them self from enemies (e.g Iran and other Nations), those who doesn't have it, are seen it as threat to them too. While Obama's pursuit (meaning, something beyond pretty words) of nuclear disarmament would be noble, there are other problems with the U.S.'s nuclear philosophy that needs his attention. Double standards, favoritism, and fear-mongering are cancerous elements that rob the U.S. of respect and leverage in the nuclear debate. (3)> With all do respect Netanyahu's  approach over the  years has been counter productive . We all want to see peace in the Middle-east  . President Obama was  too angry about the unexpected Netanyahu visit. He should have met with him . The administration claims Boehner violated “protocol” by extending the invitation on his own initiative instead of sending a request for the executive branch to extend an invitation. The bickering on Capitol Hill is at best . Bibi goes to Washington D.C. to give a speech that he should give to the United Nations . Addressing Congress to ban a treaty ( or attempt) with Iran might not be a good thing strategically  . Netanyahu misses the point.  The Israeli scheme now has been to further divide our government ,  the leaks about the nuclear talks that  have surfaced, with the Times of Israel reporting an unnamed senior Israeli official who said that the United States had "agreed to 80 percent of Iran’s demands." I think its part of a "disinformation" plan for sure , even if 'true'.   (4)>  Either case I see the Obama administration measure  with Iran, it's  pretty much to win them over as a ally in the war against the Islamic State group.

NOTES AND COMMENTS:
(1)>
Iran is going to be a nuclear power eventually. Would you rather they were an active participant in the international community when that happens, or would you rather they were a pariah state (Pakistan)  that felt like they were being backed into a corner? The notion that we can prevent a country from obtaining nuclear weapons in an age of proliferation and unstable nuclear countries such as Pakistan is the stuff of delusions. (2)> In 1991, the historical rivals India and Pakistan signed a treaty agreeing not to target each other's nuclear facilities. They realized that far more worrisome than their adversary's nuclear deterrent was the instability produced by challenges to it. (3)> Obama offered a flimsy excuse for his refusal to meet with Netanyahu on the upcoming visit. “We don’t meet with any world leader two weeks before their election,” said the president. “I think that’s inappropriate.”(4)> Israel remains the least concerned and least directly threatened country in a region increasingly rocked by Islamic State’s advance. It certainly does not see the group as an external threat. Shocking though the events in Syria and Iraq are, Israel is far beyond the range of even the most sophisticated of Islamic State’s weapons. The group’s immediate territorial interests do not extend to anywhere near Israeli borders, and its support in areas adjacent to Israel is still negligible.  What’s more, unlike many militant groups and states in the region, Islamic State has declared itself emphatically disinterested in intervening in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, preferring instead to draw its support from Sunni revanchism and introducing a semblance of order into war-torn regions of Iraq.

2015: A SPACE ODYSSEY", part 3.

One More month we will have some of the closet images of dwarf planet Ceres.  NASA recently released black and white images of a small world that looks heavily bombarded with craters . Personally I am waiting for the color images . After examining Hubble Telescope images of Ceres I noted something not usually found in asteroids in images that are vary puzzling (see the image on the left ) there is what is called a blue limb in the photograph. This so called phenomenon is often associated with planetary (1)> bodies that have atmospheres . The white spot that has appeared in past photo's of Ceres is vary intriguing , we have also noted that there numerous white spots that have the look of frozen material in craters .  BUT the circular appearance can be a bit deceiving with this proto-planet as seen with old Hubble Images . Now we are only 52,000 miles away and things are just beginning to take shape in this small mysterious world . For a moment I was hoping for a small planet like body with hints of a atmosphere , but the black and white images from DAWN SPACE CRAFT reveal a different body than that we have imagined . This little world looks like the moon in may ways than one . But the pair of images, recently captured by NASA's Dawn spacecraft, are something pretty amazing: they're the best photos we've ever taken of the dwarf planet Ceres, which inhabits the asteroid belt, and orbits the Sun about 257 million miles away from
"size" does matter in
outer space.
Earth.
Ceres is officially considered a dwarf planet — a technical designation for objects that are smaller than planets but bigger than most asteroids and comets. (Pluto was famously demoted to a dwarf planet in 2006.) Yet in many ways, Ceres and Vesta are similar destinations. When Dawn was launched, they were the two largest rocks in the inner solar system that we had yet to explore. If you look at Ceres now you can't get too confused ( see above , between Mars , Moon and Mercury are the two "dwarf planets" Vesta & Ceres compare in size ). Ceres may be considered a dwarf planet, but it's "the giant of the main asteroid belt,"taken when the probe was about 52,000 miles (83,000 kilometers) from Ceres, show craters and what NASA calls mysterious bright spots. its surface is pretty beaten up and that the craters that are "scars from life in the rough and tumble asteroid belt."
Much has been made of Ceres's mysterious white dot. In the new photos, we can see pock-marked details of the crater-packed planet, and its single white spot has turned into a multitude of such features -- but it's still not clear what makes parts of its surface so brilliantly reflective. Perhaps Ice?
Scientists speculate that Made up of rock and ice, Ceres may even have liquid water deep beneath its surface -- "perhaps as ponds or lakes or even oceans," You judge for yourselves . The images pretty much reveal a world yet to be seen this March.

Possible MARS VOLCANO erupting ?
Obviously some amateur astronomers may have spotted mysterious plumes  erupting on Mars . Have have read home much speculation has been said on the web , and NASA scientists . I think all the scientists may have missed on crucial point in this plume theory .More than 155 miles (250 kilometers) high and hundreds of miles across, the baffling plumes were spotted by amateur astronomers in the spring of 2012. The plumes reflect
sunlight, which means they could be made of water ice, carbon dioxide ice or dust. But clouds made of those materials would be hard to explain with current models of the Martian atmosphere, scientists say Well have about (2)>  VOLCANIC ERUPTIONS? Mars has  gravity almost as equal to the moon , and it does not take much for any ejected material to shot up 155 miles high in the Martian sky , what ever the case it may be it is interesting . Images of Mars from the last 20 years reveal that shorter plumes, reaching heights of about 62 miles (100 km), occasionally flare up from the planet's surface. An image by the Hubble Space Telescope from 1997 revealed another abnormally high plume, similar to the one seen in 2012, according to a statement from the European Space Agency (ESA). My "theory" is that we are seeing Martian volcanic material , perhaps "gases" erupting from the surface . It would be interesting to find out of any orbiters and Mars Rovers picked in spikes in gases in the atmosphere.  It's interesting that with all that advanced space craft around and on Mars,  no one was able to capture this mysterious event. PUZZLING .

THE OUTER SOLAR SYSTEM.

While NEW HORIZON's heads out to visit PLUTO . It is expected to arrive in July , we have had some unexpected news about the possibility that our SOLAR SYSTEM at the farthest reaches may have two extra planets . The  MYTH of planet X may be not so , two scientists "predict" that these planets might be "larger" than Earth . Perhaps as big as Jupiter . Theory predicts a certain set of details for ***ETNO orbits, study team members said. For example, they should have a semi-major axis, or average distance from the sun, of about 150 astronomical units (AU). (1 AU is the distance from Earth to the sun — roughly 93 million miles, or 150 million kilometers.) These orbits should also have an inclination, relative to the plane of the solar system, of almost 0 degrees, among other characteristics. The quest for a "Planet X" beyond Neptune has been going on for more than a century. Recently, two dwarf planets Sedna and 2102 VP113 have been identified with orbits extending to distances hundreds of times further from the Sun than our own. Distant as these orbits are, they are too close to be part of the Oort Cloud, a collection of comets that mostly orbit at distances beyond 5000 AU.Yet all of these distant objects reach their closest point to the sun just when they are near the plane the planets circle in. The scientists considered this unlikely to be a coincidence, and speculate it might be a sign of a planet influencing all of their orbits. In Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society Letters brothers Carlos and Raul de la Fuente Marcos of Complutense University of Madrid have taken this a step further. “The analysis of several possible scenarios strongly suggest that at least two trans-Plutonian planets must exist,” they conclude. This discovery could very well change the face of astronomy as we know it, as the data contradicts our contemporary solar models, which don’t account for planets past Neptune. But the paper’s authors were careful to mention that their research was conducted on only a handful of space bodies, and said they expect to examine a larger area in the coming months.

NOTES AND COMMENTS:

(1)> The  ESA’s Herschel space observatory has discovered water vapour around Ceres, the first unambiguous detection of water vapour around an object in the asteroid belt.An alternative possibility is that geysers or icy volcanoes – cryovolcanism – play a role in the dwarf planet’s activity.Craters, and more mysterious bright spots in addition to the one already known, show up in the latest images of Ceres from NASA’s Dawn spacecraft. The spacecraft acquired the images above on February 12, 2015 at a distance of 52,000 miles (83,000 kilometers) from Ceres, which is the largest and most massive object in the main asteroid belt, between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. Dawn will reach the Texas-sized dwarf planet, never before visited by a spacecraft, on March 6, 2015. *** ETNO's are trans-Neptunian object (TNO; also written transneptunian object) is any minor planet in the Solar System that orbits the Sun at a greater average distance (semi-major axis) than Neptune, 30 astronomical units (AU). Twelve minor planets[nb 1] with a semi-major axis greater than 150 AU and perihelion greater than 30 AU are known, which are called extreme trans-Neptunian objects (ETNOs). The "farthest" object in our solar system right now is “Sedna"  is a dwarf planet that is one of the most distant bodies found in our solar system. The object’s closest approach to the sun is far greater than Pluto’s distance away from Earth — at a spot where the sun is so tiny, according to NASA, that you could blot it out with a pin.” It's orbit is so elongated , it's a like comet . Sedna takes over 15,000 years to complete one orbit around the sun.(2)> The subject of Mars volcanism . The European Space Agency's Mars Express orbiter photographed lava flows that must have occurred within the past two million years and imply, scientists say, that volcanoes on Mars might still pump molten rock to the surface now and then.Scientists believe that volcanoes on Mars once might have been active and would have supposedly warmed the planet enough for the liquid water to exist on the Martian surface for a short period of time.

"Leading from behind" . A perspective . PART 2.

There is an never ending cliffhanger when it comes to government response .  My last post "Leading from behind . A perspective ."  I examined how leading from behind is the cause of many problems in Washington D.C. politics . ***The President can't get his language straight on Islamic terror , after hearing his latest speech addressing once again, that the West is (1)> "not at war with Islam" as he wrapped a three-day White House forum on "violent extremism". Sure,  but they seem to be  at war with us. Obama on Thursday acknowledged the "unspeakable cruelty" inflicted by the Islamic State and said countries must be "unwavering" in fighting these groups. But he underscored the importance of improving political systems, boosting economies and making impoverished communities less susceptible to terror recruiters -- echoing a comment from a State Department official this week that jobs-creation programs could be an effective counterterrorism tool. Those decrying Obama's characterizing ISIL, etc., as "terrorists" rather than "Islamic terrorists" are needlessly critical. These terrorists are not going to be more aggressive or engage in more terrorism because of the label applied to them. Indeed, by simply calling them "terrorists," Obama is delegitimizing their claim to represent Islam -- and depriving them of their rallying cry that we are fighting a war against Islam, which serves as a recruiting tool. Moreover, those victimized by ISIL, etc., are most often Muslims.  --- honestly I could not believe what I was hearing out of the mouth of the leader of our nation . So his ( Obama's) idea is that the west has to "create jobs" to get any would keep any  Muslim from going to +++ jihad . Yes, probably sending untold billions of dollars  to the middle east as solving the problem of their poverty .Obama State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf thinks the best way to defeat the Islamic State and stopping the IS slaughter of innocents… is a jobs program!!!! Ms Harf said, we should work to build up regional economies 'so they can have job opportunities'.That's not just the beef I have with this . I can't understand why our nation was so involved in the 40 years of influencing the Middle-east by selling weapons rather than food ? Now that is a remedy ? With the
Islamic State group spreading and terrorists gaining strength in the Mideast and Africa, Obama has sought to use this week’s White House summit on violent extremism to urge the world to broaden its response far beyond military interventions. US airstrikes have managed to blunt some of the militants’ gains in Iraq and Syria, but they don’t address the extreme ideologies that underpin deadly groups such as IS, al-Shabab and Boko Haram. The White House has made it clear that the summit grew out of recent attacks in Ottawa, Ontario; Sydney; and on the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo and a kosher supermarket in Paris — all perpetrated by people either identified as Islamist extremists or who claimed kinship with them. But administration officials are walking a fine line; they are avoiding sweeping characterizations of the source of the threat while making clear they know who the enemy is. Another problem is the notion of "political Correctness" , this is not a problem of Obama . It has vary much it's roots in 9-11 with Bush , Bush worked to separate al-Qaida from Islam in the public consciousness. It’s a message he sent clearly as early as Sept. 20, 2001.“The terrorists are traitors to their own faith, trying, in effect, to hijack Islam itself,” he said. “The enemy of America is not our many Muslim friends; it is not our many Arab friends. Our enemy is a radical network of terrorists, and every government that supports them.” There were times when Bush was accused of the kind of political correctness that Obama stands accused of today. In August 2004, he even suggested that his administration had misnamed the “war on terror.” So this becomes a speech issue  here in America with our leaders ( who bite their tongues ) , while the (cannot be named terrorists ) will identify Christians and kill them in beheadings .

NOTES AND COMMENTS:
*** President Obama spoke during the closing session of the White House summit on violent extremism. But there is a deeper problem with the Administration’s semantic dodges. Al Qaeda, Islamic State, Boko Haram and other jihadist groups are waging more than a military conflict. They are also waging an increasingly successful ideological war for the soul of Islam and its 1.6 billion followers. +++ Jihad >Their version of jihad is gaining adherents precisely because it is motivated by an idea that challenges the values and beliefs of moderate Islam, the West and modernity. The free and non-fanatic world won’t win this deeper struggle if the Obama Administration refuses even to acknowledge its nature. How ever the President's speech was disturbing in many ways , he sounded like a "preacher" in the summit with the appraisal of the crowed when he said that "terrorists" are not " Islamic" in any way. Muslims do know what is going on , sure the President of Egypt  Abdel Fattah Al Sisi recently visit Cairo’s al-Azhar university, Sunni Islam’s premier center of religious learning, to warn leading clerics of where Islam is heading: “Let me say it again, we need to revolutionize our religion.”which is well aware of the increasingly radical bent of mainstream Islamist theology. (1)> IS wants exactly what the public is giving them. They want the public to be so terrified that they can use the mass hysteria to draw us into a war with them. To the extent that we credit their delusion, buy into the Caliphate scenario, we will expend our blood and treasure on a new "war on terror." They want us to "bring it on."

"leading from behind" . A perspective .

" (2)>  Leading from behind" has made President Obama the lamest duck ever to sit in the Oval Office. Americans are increasingly unhappy with President Barack Obama's handling of IS ( Islamic State) , and a growing share of the nation believes that fight is going badly, according to a new CNN/ORC survey released Monday. It's not just that his polls are bad in regards this ,  this week may have been his worst ever in what I might call political fumbling . More than half of U.S. states are now involved in a lawsuit to stop President Barack Obama's executive actions on immigration, with the addition of Nevada and Tennessee announced Monday by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. The 26 states challenging Obama's actions are led by Texas, which filed its lawsuit in December. The lawsuit contends Obama overstepped his constitutional authority in executive actions on immigration that may provide deportation relief and work authorization for up to 5 million people. This is the largest case of "litigation" against a US President . I don't know what it's is but now for me the writing is on the wall . We have an internal mess with immigration , pretty much giving tax payer money for amnesty . (1)> Giving illegals a TAX REFUNDIRS Commissioner John Koskinen told Congress on Wednesday that even illegal immigrants who didn’t pay taxes will be able to claim back-refunds once they get Social Security numbers under President Obama’s temporary deportation amnesty. The revelation — which contradicts what he told Congress last week — comes as lawmakers also raised concerns Mr. Obama’s amnesty could open a window to illegal immigrants finding ways to vote, despite it being against the law. Are you kidding me ? The system just became more shattered , it's our  American tax payer money going down the drain . Most of the GOP congress is crying afoul , and accusing President Obama of "lawlessness" . It's pretty much F**CKED here folks . I know I have to swear ( bad language )  of the incompetent leaders in Washington D.C. are doing to our nation . It's a sellout of the American citizen's dream .

Obama did not say " Christians".
The week of flubbing may have reached it's peak with President Barack Obama’s address at the ***National Prayer Breakfast on February 5, 2015 has reverberated through the corridors of the world and provoked shock and dismay in numerous quarters. Even a professor at the University of London commented on his shallow understanding of the Crusades.(3)>  Islamic State Killers described their victims as “crusaders” after Obama took a jab at Christians when he said: “Unless we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ. And in our home country, slavery, and Jim Crow, all too often was justified in the name of Christ.”The Weekly Standard quoted Middle East scholar Bassam Tawil, “Does Obama really want his legacy to be, ‘The president who was an even bigger fool than Neville Chamberlain’?”. The  terrorists released a video of their mass execution of Christians, Egypt responded with jet fighters carrying bombs, the pope condemned the destruction of life and President Obama went golfing. That’s even though the IS killers, in their video release of details of their beheading of 21 Coptic Christians dressed in orange prison jumpsuits, referenced the language Obama used just a week ago in his remarks at the National Prayer Breakfast. It seems strange to me that President Obama looks powerless . It's like he is making , or trying to justify IS terrorists actions. President Obama is "leading from behind" as he said he would do.And ABC was reporting Monday that Obama was squeezing in another round of golf before ++ “ending a long weekend with childhood friends in southern California.”Obama, the report said, returned to the Porcupine Creek golf course in Rancho Mirage, California, where he played Sunday.

NOTES AND COMMENTS:
*** Citing the Crusades, he used the single most inflammatory word he could have with which to feed the insatiable rage of the extremists. That is exactly what they want to hear to feed their lunacy.  ‎In the Middle East, history never dies and words carry the weight of revenge.++ ...but everyone should hate Obama not just Christians. He is incompetent, and as a human being he should care when he ignores a problem that then allows people to be burned alive or beheaded. Stop playing golf. (1)>President Obama announced the plan on November 20, 2014 where he addressed the fact that illegals passing background checks and paying taxes could remain in the United States:“If you’ve been in America for more than five years; if you have children who are American citizens or legal residents; if you register, pass a criminal background check, and you’re willing to pay your fair share of taxes -- you’ll be able to apply to stay in this country temporarily without fear of deportation. You can come out of the shadows and get right with the law. That’s what this deal is.” (2)> Members of the Obama administration have long tried to distance themselves from when one anonymous adviser told the New Yorker magazine that Obama's foreign policy was one that favored "leading from behind." (3)> the downfall of Muammar Gaddafi has been claimed by the White House as a vindication of President Barack Obama's decision to "lead from behind". Almost as soon as the rebels reached Tripoli, the administration's deputy national security adviser for strategic communications,Ben Rhodes, began spinning the media that Obama'slight footprint approach to regime change was infinitely superior to the Bush approach

50 Shades of Grayer ......

Now there is another controversy that is erupting in the American media . I would call it a perfect study to dissect. 50 Shades of Gray a book about kinky sex . Adultery , rape , a condensed abbreviation for bondage and discipline, dominance and submission, and sadism and masochism. Seems to be the new thing for women these days. If BAD influence is not enough , I don't know by reading steamy novels what real romance is . Case in point , this book was written by a woman named E.L. James. In the (2)> "new feminist" mold unlike the old . Women are being bombarded by degrading images of themselves , shockingly enough many of them are produced by women."There will be a whole generation of young women hearing the women around them say: 'What a great book' [a generation] of 13- and 14-year-olds picking it up and thinking 'This is all right'," said Phillipson. "We are saying, could people try reading it again and thinking: 'What is this man really about?' Psychologists warn . Fiction may not directly influence actions, but social norms are depicted in fiction and the question of "what do we want to consume to let off steam" is one which should be important and not dismissed as "but it doesn't affect behavior."   Remember very similar stupidity about "The Story of O". While the whole point of the book was the objectification of women, there were whole crowds of hysterical pseudo-feminists who haven't actually read it butt were "appalled by what they heard". The book also has gained cult like status , over 70 million copies have been sold in the United States alone, hardware stores have run out of“natural fiber” rope and there are even ‘BDSM for Beginners’ classes cropping up in small town America. This book is not “just fiction” it's a new religion. The reality is that if you take away the glamour, "Fifty Shades" is just a sensationalized lie, telling women that they can, and should, fix violent and controlling men by being obedient and devoted, and that, somehow, this is romantic. It is no surprise that Hollywood is betting millions of dollars that now is the right time to offer sexual abuse and sexual violence against women as mainstream entertainment. I know somewhere you might find a male hiding a copy of the book . I have read steamy books before that were controversial , but philosophical much like ***DE SADES JUSTINE which in higher education was required reading . BOILING down the subject . My bone to pick on hypocritical society . OK, you have many collage women who have complained about rape  recently . I don't think that 50 Shades is anything but romantic as 81/2 Weeks.  Several decades ago a book named the  (1)> THORN BIRDS by Colleen McCullough  made it to number one charts , it also came with a mini-series , like 50 Shades the American public swallowed the idea that this was was the most "romantic story ever written". I remember watching that story how a Catholic Priest led a secret relation ship with a girl from pre-puberty into adulthood and finally sleeping with her . That story was steamy , yet we did not hear a whimper from the religious right back in the 1980's . My guess is that we as Americans are used to "trash" no matter what form it takes ..if hurting girls seeking love and affection in all the wrong places is some sort of joke. Conversely, boys are also growing up without fathers, never having a positive male role model in the home to teach them how to treat women with love and respect. Today's society instills the attitude of doing what you want to make yourself FEEL good. never understood why books like this, in which women are mistreated, tortured and treated like garbage, don't meet with the outrage of feminists. The hypocrisy is staggering.

NOTES AND COMMENTS:
(1)> I honestly have always had a "moral" problem with this story , and the TV Series as well. may be the moral of the story in the end is you can't hide your sins even if you are a Catholic Priest (Father Ralph De Bricassart )  who ends up becoming a Cardinal . His son becomes a priest and he dies as a "result" of the father's sin?. The story of the THORN BIRDS deals with a subject that has tainted the Catholic church  IE: "pedophilia". De Bricassart 's relationship with Meghann "Meggie" Cleary from childhood to adulthood is something for movie buffs to scrutinize , not only is it way out of reality of real relationships . In the end the book gives us a clear tragedy. Dane,( Maggie's son ) who has just become a priest, is vacationing in Greece. While there, he goes swimming one day and dies while rescuing two women from a dangerous current. Meggie reveals before Dane's funeral that Dane is Ralph's son. Ralph dies in Meggie's arms after the funeral.   This must be our most Classic of Classic Trash . sweeping cross-generational saga, six hundred and eighty-eight pages in paperback, forbidden love (and not just “oh, he’s married” forbidden! BINDING SACRED VOWS forbidden!), illegitimate children, and a weird, evolutionary dubious metaphor about a made-up bird. ***Justine (or The Misfortunes of Virtue, or several other titles: see below) is a classic 1791 novel by Donatien Alphonse François de Sade, better known as the Marquis de Sade. The plot concerns Justine, a 12-year-old maiden ("As for Justine, aged as we have remarked, twelve") who sets off, to make her way in France. It follows her until age 26, in her quest for virtue. She is presented with sexual lessons, hidden under avirtuous mask. The unfortunate situations include: the time when she seeks refuge and confession in a monastery, but is forced to become a sex-slave to the monks, who subject her to countless orgiesrapes, and similar rigours. When helping a gentleman who is robbed in a field, he takes her back to his chateau with promises of a post caring for his wife, but she is then confined in a cave and subject to much the same punishment. These punishments are mostly the same throughout, even when she goes to a judge to beg for mercy in her case as an arsonist, and then finds herself openly humiliated in court, unable to defend herself. (2)> The new feminist philosophy In recent years, the term has been revived by feminists responding to the Vatican's call for a "'new feminism' which rejects the temptation of imitating models of 'male domination' in order to acknowledge and affirm the true genius of women in every aspect of the life of society and overcome all discrimination, violence and exploitation".[2] "The true genius of women" is the idea that all of the ways in which women give of themselves are ways that reflect their capacity for physical or spiritual motherhood.[3]

The Brian Williams Enigma .

I  always thought that there  was
something odd about Brian
Williams nose.
He may not have lied at all.
I am writing this just to get some thoughts off my chest . It regards Brian Williams who may have made the greatest slip up in journalism . I spent some time searching for old videos of Williams reporting way back to 2001 , and the ominous RPG helicopter footage . I have to point out that their were not many inconsistencies as to what he reported .  Well lets get to the point , did Williams have to apologize ? ***From that level I think host "attempted" honesty did him in . I would have told Williams to keep his mouth shut . ( I know all of you think that I am condoning lying?) obviously I am not condoning that falsifying a report is really what it is . MAYBE there could be a lot more to the story , but here is what the problem is. Last week, “NBC Nightly News” ran a segment in which Williams took veteran Tim Terpak to a New York Rangers game, at which an announcer hailed Terpak as “responsible for the safety of Brian Williams and his NBC News team after their Chinook helicopter was hit and crippled by enemy fire” during the 2003 invasion. Williams also related the story of coming under fire during a 2013 appearance on David Letterman’s “Late Show.”Journalists are political sycophants. They love the power afforded to them by their positions. They get to party with the most powerful leaders in the world. They show up on television shows and in movies. How many times has Williams shown up on late night television shows? From what we know so far, Brian Williams did nothing compared to what Lara Logan did when she conspired with a lying author to fabricate and present a news story for 60 Minutes for the purpose of driving her personal neo-con ideological agenda. And, she's back at work, right?  Theorists about with the notion that Brian Williams was suffering (3)>   from a "false memory" . If so it contrasted his demeanor in journalistic reporting . Now  It has widened beyond just Williams' initial errors about a 2003 Iraq War mission to include other possible misstatements, but the network has not commented on any particular ones.Initially, Williams had gotten his facts straight on the helicopter story. Discussing the trip on a March 2003 episode of “Dateline,” he described the trip accurately. “On the ground, we learned the Chinook ahead of us was almost blown out of the sky,” he said while narrating a report. Over the intervening years, the story has taken on new twists. NBC has started a "witch hunt" trying  dig up more dirt on him . Just think , your own "employer" is trying to get you fired by looking for crap on you  , and also misleading the public as well.Williams was also a direct competitor with NBC correspondent David Bloom, who was next in line to take over for Brokaw. Bloom died of a pulmonary embolism in Iraq.. How did that affect Williams?  Williams' SO CALLED exaggerations about Iraq and subsequent questions about his accounts of ++ Hurricane Katrina have triggered (1)>  a full-blown crisis of confidence inside NBC News. (The scrutiny about Katrina is particularly significant. They've (NBC)  known about these things, and covered them up, for more than a decade. Now they're all upset? Why? Because they got caught? Repeatedly? And there was too much public pressure to ignore and lie some more? A year ago if you had asked Seal Team 6 do you talk or write about your missions the answer would have been "no,never" now we all know that's not true. I think the fact Brian Williams actually reported the story as it happened the first two or three times before it all went kablooey and the fact no news agency is reporting this is very telling. I think just like all of us with every telling of a story things are added and or taken away while a journalist should guard against this it happens to the best apparently. But what bothers me most is the gleeful public humiliation Brian Williams has been subjected to its a shame an I for one hopes he comes back.

NOTES AND COMMENTS:
*** I think those kinds of apologies are worse than counterproductive — they’re pointless. Surviving a shaming is completely out of your hands. [British Formula One official] Max Mosley survived [a sex scandal] not because of the way he behaved nor because he'd admitted what he’d done. He survived because nobody cared. Nobody cared about him having sex. Whereas if somebody happens to do something that the social-media echo chamber does care about, like Brian Williams did, there’s nothing that person can do. ++ There are eyewitnesses to Brian Williams reporting that are out there some of them have already spoken out.  Matt Pincus doesn’t know whether Brian Williams really looked out his hotel room window at the Ritz-Carlton and saw a body floating in the floodwaters that
Here is a photo of Williams in
Iraq . Is it fake?
inundated New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.
.recollections about what he saw in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina Pincus said he was at the Ritz for most of the week after the storm, and while he didn’t see a body in the spot Williams would later remember one, he did see one less than two blocks away, near Rampart and Canal streets — though he hastens to add that it merely appeared to be a body. But he said it’s entirely possible Williams saw something Pincus didn’t, noting that he and others at the hotel were making furtive forays into the surrounding area, but mostly trying to keep the building secure. (2). No news agency is "clean" from controversy , NBC , CBS have had their share in misstatements , false reporting A few years before that, NBC addressed accusations of manipulating the particulars of a report. In November 1992, a “Dateline” episode revealed that certain pickup trucks could be vulnerable to gas-tank explosions when struck from the side. The assertions had validity, but NBC did not disclose it had attached devices to a GM truck used in the report that would ensure the vehicle would explode on impact. After the automaker filed a defamation lawsuit, NBC broadcast an apology by hosts Jane Pauley and Stone Phillips on “Dateline,” then hired independent attorneys to determine what had happened. The so called liberal media lies many times. CBS before the first Iraq war said the Bradley and Apache and other military hardware would not last and tens of thousands of US deaths. NBC lying about GM. The point is everything anything not liberal is wrong according to the news media. The backing of CNN for Obama during the debate in 2012. (3)> the way our memories change over time. We are not perfect , and altered memory is a phenomenon that is quite common, and probably universal. If they asked everyone who was involved in the episode (or, inevitably, episodes) in question to recount, individually, their recollection of the events, I think it would be fascinating to see the range and variety of responses. I can almost guarantee you that no two of them would be identical. When Williams first reported the incident on NBC news on March 26, 2003, he said the helicopter he was in was one of 4 Chinook helicopters, he was on the 3rd in line and "suddenly the helicopter ahead of us was attacked by a RPG". He did NOT say that his helicopter was attacked.Years later, when telling the story on Letterman, the story changed. He was NOT reporting the news at that time like he was on March 26, 2003. As the years pass, all of our memories of events grow dim and take on changes. He was not reporting a news story on Letterman - he was just telling a story. It is time to admit that you are not perfect and neither is Williams.
