So you want an Abortion...........?

Dr.  Kermit Gosnell, an abortion provider . Made abortion
necessity  for women and more.
OK . This one is for all the women who think that abortion is the greatest thing since women won the right to vote . What I am about to say to , and about abortion might get the trigger effect.  First of all recently there has been little said  about the  Dr. Kermit Gosnell's   trial , his clinic was a 'house of horrors'. The descriptions were gruesome in nature. In five weeks of testimony, jurors were told that Dr. Gosnell, 72, had performed late-term abortions by injecting a drug to stop the heart of the fetus, but that when one jerked an arm, cried or drew breath outside the womb, its spinal cord was cut with surgical scissors. IT  started three years ago as a federal investigation into prescription drug sales, but inside Gosnell's Philadelphia abortion clinic, law enforcement encountered a grisly scene.  The clinic has been described as  filled with stray cats and animal waste, with 47 fetuses piled into a freezer. Prosecutors say that this routine drug raid became something much more serious. The doctor has been charged in the murder of a woman during a botched abortion, as well as the murder of seven babies born alive. Closing arguments in the murder trial of an abortion provider. Gosnell had declined to testify in his defense or even call witnesses at his capital murder trial. Instead, his attorney, Jack McMahon, offered a passionate, often angry defense of his client, blaming the intense media interest in the case and the prosecution for creating a "tremendous rush to judgement." Well there was hardly any media coverage in the main media left , since it was such a heated topic .  ## For me abortion is wrong , and I don't care what some women think . First of all since women have gotten right to abort , women don't necessarily have gotten control of their bodies when they have to get abortions . It's still men controlling the situation .   Common brain washing in our American society was created by an extreme form of feminism .  Abortion may not be the right way for women's equality . Second the persons conducting abortions are 'Men' .  **Most of the time it's men who control women to have abortions . According to the Guttmacher Institute, complications from unsafe abortions in the developing world contribute to 47,000 preventable deaths each year. The advocacy organization points out that reducing the number of unsafe abortion procedures worldwide is a public health imperative, since every woman should have the right to make safe reproductive choices for herself without risking her life. For all these losses, women gain nothing but the right to run in place. Abortion doesn't cure any illness; it doesn't win any woman a raise. But in a culture that treats pregnancy and childrearing as impediments, it surgically adapts the woman to fit in. If women are an oppressed group, they are the only such group to require surgery in order to be equal. In Greek mythology, Procrustes was an exacting host: if you were the wrong size for his bed, he would stretch or chop you to fit. The abortion table is modern feminism's Procrustean bed, one that, in a hideous twist, its victims actually march in the streets to demand.

NOTES AND COMMENTS:

** The history of abortion shows it is just another way for men to exercise control over a women's body. Abortion has been available forever, since the beginning of time. It was prevalent in biblical days but nothing was ever written about it in scriptures.Abortion was not an issue in early American history and was done by mid-wives and women's knowledge. In 1858 the New Jersey Supreme Court upheld laws to protect women saying the purpose was "not to prevent the procuring of abortions so much as to guard the health and life of the mother against the consequences of such attempts." Two rulings by Mass Courts in 1812 and 1845 declared abortion was allowable before "quickening" and most other state courts did the same. With the Puritan obsession with sin the legal view changed - that abortion allowed the unwed women to avoid the shame of her sin. The Comstock Law of 1873 allowed the NY Society for the Suppression of Vice, to wage war on everything from pornography to abortion. This view was shown regarding using anesthesia in childbirth. Many protested it would be a sin to deprive women of the "privilege" of suffering in childbirth.Physicians (men) decided abortions could only be done surgically, therefore only MD's could do them. They got laws passed against mid-wives and made it a punishable crime for women to share their abortion knowledge.  Susan B. Anthony called abortion "child murder" and called for "prevention, not merely punishment...[of] the dreadful deed." The nineteenth-century feminists were unanimous in opposing abortion. Elizabeth Cady Stanton grouped it with infanticide, and proclaimed that if it was degrading to treat women as property, it was no better for women to treat their own children as property. Perhaps their colleague Mattie Brinkerhoff was clearest when she likened a woman seeking abortion to a man who steals because he is hungry.

## The majority opinion in Roe v Wade  did not affirm a constitutional right to privacy, much less a right to have an abortion. The Court attempted to define the extent to which the interests of the state could regulate this particular sphere of personal privacy, without denying the principle that the state could regulate any private sphere, with sufficient cause. While denying an unqualified right to privacy or right to do what one pleases with one’s body, the Court nonetheless found that in this particular case the state had insufficient cause to intrude in this private sphere. The Court applied a high “compelling state interest” standard, contrary to established practice for Due Process cases. This and other specious reasoning enabled the Court to strike down all of Texas’ criminal abortion statutes and to establish an arbitrary trimestral scheme for future abortion legislation.

Immigration reform hoax.

Congress is working hard on immigration

"reform".
Trust me . They'll never get off their butts with this. Shame on Rubio's attempt at immigration reform , and shame too on Pres . Obama . They have been talking reform for nearly 20 years , and they "act' like they are doing something , but honestly they don't care . It comes down to free cheap labor that illegals give this country . Congress is having a tough time passing immigration reform. The sparring between President Obama and Congressional factions about immigration reform covers up a basic fact. Not one of the plans being floated would create a better life for undocumented workers; each would instead increase the everyday terror these immigrants face. ( See this Link:  Don’t be fooled by peddlers of ‘Immigration Reform’ Scams” ) This is true for a simple reason: top-down immigration reform isn’t designed to help immigrants — it’s designed to help business. It has been reported that by late 2013 the  **Hispanic population in  ##California will be greater than that of the white population; much of this due to the Liberal/Progressive agenda of the politicians of that state and of their staunch supporters in the District of Criminals. Individual cities, such as Chicago and Seattle (with the aid of the likes of Lornet Turnbull) welcome all comers to their “sanctuary cites” with open arms – all to the detriment of the American unemployed – and at the expense to the American taxpayer. Obama’s blueprint, put forward in detail in 2011, reads like sci-fi. At the border, it would increase the fences, drones, agents, cameras, and radar already multiplied by Obama. It would make mandatory the E-Verify program that employers use to check job applicants’ status, which could easily lead to requiring ID cards for everyone. And the plan would introduce a biometric identifier like fingerprinting or a retina scan into hiring. The misnamed “path to citizenship” is the carrot to attract popular support for Obama’s wretched plan. But don’t be fooled! The path is strewn with daunting obstacles: “rigorous security check,” a series of fines, competency in English, payment of back taxes"Last Friday, the so-called 'comprehensive immigration reform' effort received a boost when U.S. Chamber of Commerce head Tom Donohue and AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka reportedly came to an agreement regarding a guest-worker program. ... The deal creates a new 'W' visa category aimed at low-skill workers. It would allow immigrants to earn the same wages paid to Americans, or an industry's prevailing wages, whichever is higher. Since such wages can vary from city to city, the Labor Department would determine the prevailing wage. The proposal also includes the additional promises of border security, a crackdown on employers who hire illegals, and a 13-year pathway to citizenship for the millions of illegal aliens currently in the country. It's the oh-so-familiar promises that ought to infuriate Americans well aware that the exact same promises about border control and a crackdown on businesses were made when the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act was passed into law." --columnist Arnold Ahlert

NOTES AND COMMENTS:
** Bringing a pregnant woman to this land, just for the purpose of allowing her to give birth, in order to create an anchor, so that mother, child and an extended familial group can also put down roots – is criminal, and the practice should be stopped – immediately. This "practice" has led to illegitimate children that flood into the public school system at tax payer expense which has led to :
## Another problem with Latino Immigrants in California is The suit, filed by the American Civil Liberties Union and others, focuses on an estimated 20,000 students who are receiving no help or inadequate services as they work to learn English and keep up academically at the same time.  EL students across 251 school districts —more than a quarter of California school districts that have EL students enrolled —have not been receiving any services to help them learn English.  The lack of instruction violates legal mandates and is in spite of studies showing that EL students denied those services are more likely to fail or drop out of school.

Postscript : Obama , and gun laws.

The President had a point , buy why did go it
down with Congress?
I have to give President  Obama some credit for trying . Regarding his attempt to what some have pointed as " controlling gun violence "  , ** but  the push on gun control suffered a major blow. Congress shot it down . when the senate defeated a gun-buyer background check bill put together by Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Pat Toomey (R-Pa.). The amendment failed 54 to 46, falling short of the 60-vote threshold needed to break a filibuster of the measure. The White House's failure to recognize and act on the implications of this particular disconnect may have cost the country background checks. It was certainly the most important flaw in the way the White House went about selling additional firearms regulations to the country. Labels and rhetoric matter in politics. A lawmaker probably will not fear voting for "background checks" unless he or she fears that his opponents might seek to frame that vote for increased background checks as a vote for increased gun control. For exactly this reason, the White House made an immense blunder when it threw its support behind not only more expansive background checks, but also the renewal of the Assault Weapons Ban and limits on magazine capacity. That made it easy for opponents to conflate the issues in the minds of many Americans. The NRA won it out . Regardless of the plea's from the parents of the Sandy Hook School Massacre . I have to agree at some point with the NRA . I don't own any gun , nor do I care for guns , but the NRA hit a certain point when  Wayne LaPierre NRA president said that America has laws already on gun control , and more laws won't fix the problem.  That is indefinably true . Why is the legal system not enforcing the current gun law? If we even had a smidgen more of gun laws , even more background checks it for certainly would not have prevented Adam Lanza from getting a gun that his mother owned "legally" . The Lanza case was a case of bad parenting  and lack of clinical psychological help. What I hate about about the NRA is their lack of sympathy regarding gun violence which is running askew in America . Yes, the NRA is there to protect gun owners who obey the laws , but at some point the nation , the NRA and the whole legal system must approach the issue of gun violence'.

NOTES AND COMMENTS:
** "There are no coherent arguments for why we didn't do this," Obama said."

Sure there is, Mr. President. The coherent reason it failed is the fact that nothing in the bill would have any effect on the Newtown, Aurora, or Gabby Giffords shootings.

If you could back in time and put this so-called universal background check in place one or two years before those horrific events, it would have made no difference in the outcome. If you put them in place now, it would have no effect on such events if they were to happen in the future.

No effect whatsoever.

"The president said the failure of the background check bill "came down to politics."

He is right on that. Some members of congress seems to believe that it would have no effect either and realized that if they voted for it, their constituents would know that they were making a political calculation as opposed to trying to do anything that might work to prevent or reduce these tragedies from occurring in the future.

The polls also looked bad . On the surface, the poll released by The Washington Post and Pew Research Center made no sense. Only 47 percent of respondents said they were "disappointed" or "angry" that the Senate last week failed to advance a bill to expand background checks to gun shows and online sales.

Yet in February, a Pew poll found that 83 percent of respondents supported an expansion of background checks to cover gun shows and all private sales – measures that would actually be stricter than what the Senate rejected.

Jodi Arias & Audrie Pott.

Jodi Arias  incriminated herself .
I had to ponder should I write a piece about two story Items. The first one has been some what a case that has been on TV for a long time , and  lucky  for us is one buried under other national news . Otherwise we would have it flaunted on a daily bases before our eyes. Case in point : Beautiful young woman could face the death penalty . Enter  Jodi Arias . My observation of the trial is , that she  has no good alibi . Trying prove domestic abuse , can't justify the slaughter  in Travis Alexander's June 2008 killing at his suburban Phoenix home. It was like a virtual who done it . Travis body riddle with bullets and nearly decapitated bleeding body in the shower . Gruesome  as it is . Why this beautiful young women would do something so macabre is unexplained . Psychologists ,Dr. Janeen DeMarte, the first expert witness called by the state during the rebuttal phase of the trial. DeMarte testified she diagnosed Arias with borderline personality disorder. She also testified she found no evidence to believe Arias’ claims about her memory problems or that she was a victim of domestic violence and suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder. "There wasn't symptoms that were consistent with that diagnosis," she said of the PTSD. As trials goes , the worse thing an accused person can do is to say too much  by the fact that this chick has a twitter account and is allowed to put out DIRECT pointed messages out about say Nancy Grace or Juan Martinez . She thought she was smarter then this career prosecutor until Thursday when he was able to get her to come face to face with the pictures of Travis's body and how she brutally killed this man because he wouldn't love and marry her.   She has tried to wiggle out of this murder for so long. She drummed up her defense after 2 yrs I believe in jail. She is in denial of her own sociopathic behavior and it looks like she blames everyone in her life...from her family to all the boyfriends and then finally to Travis. She was a stalker, slashed tires, snooped in Travis' windows, Facebook, contacted one of his girlfriends..on and on and still Travis loaned her money, planned trips with her and wanted to remain friends with benefits.  All Jodi had to do was never speak  to him again but she chooses murder instead.  I believe she went to Mesa with murder on her mind and the gun.  She has always thought no jury would convict her because she's pretty. She's pretty alright ...Pretty Sick.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Her parents should have known.
Second piece I was trying to ponder was the story about Audrie Pott who committed suicide . I would send my sympathies here . It is VARY sad that  there was PLENTY of time to save this girl . Yet it seems to me that the blame has to go everywhere including our society in general . I first have to blame Audrie Pott her self . Yes , why do blame the victim ?The parents have not accepted any blame for allowing the child to be away drinking and then something horrible happened because of it. The parents need to point that finger at themselves for not keeping a tighter leash apparently  the drinking away from home by a minor seems to be the catalyst for everything else that went wrong. Nobody here condemning the parents of the girl, interesting. I can't understand from all the general reports Audrie Pott got drunk at a party and passed out. What happened next, according to her family, was that she was sexually assaulted by multiple young men, who took photos and circulated them in their high school of more than 1,000 students. Not long afterward, Audrie, devastated and hopeless, committed suicide. Read the story , but some facts are wrong as reported . The " men" who raped here were actually High School are 'boys' whom under the legal system are  underage note here :  The family of a California girl want “serious consequences” for the three 16-year-old boys charged in her sexual assault and held responsible for driving the teen to her death. Yes in the State of California at age 16 you are still a teenager not legally an adult . So far the parents want to file litigation against the school district for bullying . It boggles my mind . I am going tell you my opinion on this . The 16 year old boys should face the penalty for rape . There is NO excuse for what they did . Suing the 16 year old boys for wrong-full death seems to me a bit ridiculous because  they did not kill her , but you know we live in a society that swims in litigation . The Pott family may not get a dime from either the school district or the young boys who perpetrated this act . Now on the part of bullying it seems to me that Audrie failed to report it to school authorities.  The school released a written statement answering questions about the case and denying that Audrie reported being bullied."Since her death, we have thoroughly examined our counseling records and interviewed our staff to see if there were any warning signs or indications that Audrie was being bullied or harassed at school," the school district said. "That internal investigation showed that she never reported or sought counseling for bullying before or after the alleged sexual assault. If she had, our staff would have reported it and taken preventative steps to stop it."
##There is a another question I'll end the subject . At the Party that Audrie attended where the alleged raped occurred  . Why did not any one , and including Audrie call the Police? How long was she passed out ?

NOTES AND COMMENTS:
## Could the bystander effect be partially to blame for the lack of anyone intervening in the rape and sexual assault of Rehtaeh Parsons and Audrie Pott while it occurred?
The bystander effect is a psychological phenomenon whereas the more people that are present when a person is in distress, the less likely anyone intervenes to help that person. Both cases involved a young girl being sexually assaulted and raped while at a house party with other teenagers.
Add alcohol to the mix — and the emotionally-based (often poor) judgment associated with the teenage years — and yes, it appears to be the perfect recipe for disaster. And listen up if you’re a teen — do not let this happen again. If you see something that you know is wrong — stop it. Get others to help you stop it. Call the police if you need to. Do not be a victim of the bystander effect — take charge, take action, and let’s prevent these horrible incidents from ever occurring again in the future.

The Chechen brothers , and al-Qaeda link.

The two suspect brothers linked via Chechen , and al- Qaeda ?
It was certainly a bad week for America . The Boston bombing and a vary curious " explosion" at a Texas fertilizer plant near Waco. My last blog posting I was a bit cautious  because the FBI had not released any information on the suspects . There was lots of speculation in the air , but now for  me it seems to be getting clear who or what could had been really behind the bombings . I am  only suspecting that there is that connection with the Chechen insurgency mujahedeen, the two suspects obviously to the reports lived in the United States for a number of years although . A connection to Al Qaeda is vary possible . Since The Chechen insurgency was aided by al-Qaeda . Another disturbing fact is that the two "brothers"  Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev had para-military experience as reported by news sources . Far cry as I said that they were two armatures . Of coarse there was another report saying the the two brothers may suffered from some kinda of mental break down that they both hatched a plan to carry out their anger , and so on . I really don't buy into any kinda "sympathy" for any of them . I am  one to believe that they may be  part of a terror cell that al-Qaeda is using possibly from Chechnya here in the United States . If our Government really wants to do something right they should try to capture the last suspect alive . Preventing him either blowing himself up in a blaze of glory.Police also found multiple explosive devices in a house in Cambridge, across the Charles River from Boston. They said they would do a controlled detonation Friday afternoon. Tsarnaev vanished after he and his brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, got into an early morning gun battle with police today that left Tsarnaev's older brother dead. Massachusetts State Police Superintendent Col. Timothy Alben said this afternoon that authorities are going home-to-home in search of the suspect and are chasing "several new leads." Whether al Qaeda had any role – direct or indirect by the internet – in the radicalization of these two men, it is likely to revel in the results of their attacks in Boston.  While the attack was nowhere near the magnitude of 9/11, it has consumed the American media and political scene for almost a week so far, led to the unprecedented lockdown of an entire American city, and sent the White House itself into enhanced security.

While we were all consumed by the Boston bombing. The nation had another "peculiar" incident that should be investigated Some 35 people -- including 10 first responders -- died in a massive explosion Wednesday night at a fertilizer plant in West, Texas, Mayor Tommy Muska said, according to USA Today.Given the Boston Bombings occured just 2 days before this explosion, it seems incredibly coincidental that this explosion occured 2 days before the anniversaries of two events from history- No one is talking terrorism, at this point. But sure is an odd weak of coincidences: Monday – Boston Marathon bombing Tuesday – Ricin mailings to Senate and Obama Wednesday – Waco-ish fertilizer explosion. Heckuva coincidence.

NOTES AND COMMENTS:
The Boston bombing probe points to Mid East terrorists with domestic support
DEBKAfile Exclusive Analysis

16 April. Our counterterrorism experts point to hallmarks of Middle East terrorism in the initial investigation of the twin bombings that struck the Boston Marathon Monday, April 15, killing three people, including an 8-year old boy and injuring 176 – seventeen critically. The ball-bearings, nails and shrapnel planted in the bombs for maximizing casualties are a familiar “professional” feature of Middle East terrorism. The Boston event would have required a team of 4-5 bombers on the ground backed by at least 10 accomplices and spotters. The FBI is seeking two men. One was described as swarthy, speaking with a foreign accent, his face partially hidden by a hood, who was carrying a large backpack near the finishing line
Another man was photographed walking on a rooftop overlooking the second bomb explosion..
Tuesday, the FBI admitted “a potential terrorist inquiry” was underway, although President Barack Obama, when he pledged justice for “the perpetrators,” carefully skirted the term “terror.”
Suspicion of a foreign hand was strengthened when the US media reported that a Saudi national suffering from severe burns was being questioned in hospital. The Boston Police Department  denied the report.
Heightened terrorism alert remains in Boston, Washington and New York. The first response to the explosions in Boston from Middle East itself came from Mohammad al-Chalabi the head of an extremist Jordanian Muslim Salafi group, who said he's "happy to see the horror in America…”

Boston Bomb . False Flag. Theory.

Coincidence . "False Flag" and Patriots day Connected?
Today under vary sad circumstances with  cautionary . Prayers go out to the victims.  As I write this we may have had terrorism' of sorts . President **Obama during a press conference gave little hint , on whom or what was responsible . We can have all the speculation , and theory . There are certain coincidences that need be explained.  It occurred on Patriots’ Day.The civic holiday commemorates the Battles of Lexington and Concord, which began the Revolutionary War. It is celebrated on the third Monday of April in Massachusetts, with schools, libraries and some government offices closed for the day. And, as many news commentators are already speculating, it could be a significant clue into the motives of those behind today’s Boston Marathon bombings. As NBC News reporter Luke Russert pointed out in a tweet earlier today, the final FBI assault on the Waco, Texas compound occurred on Patriots’ Day, April 19th, 1993. The Oklahoma City bombing occurred two years later on April 19th, 1995, though that day being a Wednesday, it was not Patriots’ Day. This story now  just gets weird ,What's not yet being reported by the mainstream media is that a "controlled explosion" was under way on the same day as the marathon explosion. As the Boston Globe tweeted today, "Officials: There will be a controlled explosion opposite the library within one minute as part of bomb squad activities." Some people believe this explosion might have been part of the demolition of another bomb. It seems unlikely, however, that a bomb at the library, one mile away, could be so quickly located and rigged to be exploded by the bomb squad in less than one hour following the initial explosions at the marathon. There are endless plausibility that this vary act was done by a amateur, however it appears a level of sophistication it's no lone wolf.   . A Bomb expert  online wrote that you can tell from the smoke during the explosion as to what kind of bomb it was . University of Mobile’s Cross Country Coach, who was near the finish line of the Boston Marathon when a series of explosions went off, said he thought it was odd there were bomb sniffing dogs at the start and finish lines.“They kept making announcements on the loud speaker that it was just a drill and there was nothing to worry about,” Coach Ali Stevenson told Local 15. “It seemed like there was some sort of threat, but they kept telling us it was just a drill.”

NOTES AND COMMENTS:
** President Obama spoke briefly Tuesday morning and officially characterized yesterday’s bombing of the Boston Marathon as “terrorism,” before reaffirming that “the American people refuse to be terrorized.”
Pres. Obama said :  We still do not know who did this or why.  And people shouldn’t jump to conclusions before we have all the facts.  But make no mistake -- we will get to the bottom of this.  And we will find out who did this; we'll find out why they did this.  Any responsible individuals, any responsible groups will feel the full weight of justice.

NEWS SOURCES already are dishing out Theories .  Caution in every story like this.  Investigators have a suspect — a "Saudi Arabian national" — in the horrific Boston Marathon bombings, The New York Post has learned. Supporters of the right-wing theory point to the timing of the attack. April 15 is tax day in the United States, when the whole nation is expected to file tax returns. It is an ominous day in the calendar for anti-government, anti-tax activists. There has also been huge growth in the number of anti-government “Patriot” groups during Barack Obama’s presidency. The Southern Poverty Law Centre, which monitors hate groups, reported last month that because of the prospect of gun-control legislation, “the threat of violence appears to be looming.” The SPLC said that the number of Patriot groups reached record levels in 2012 and had grown by 813 percent over the past four years.

The Bay Area bridge to nowhere.......

California's bridge to No-Where, made in China.
We were all asking for it when California involved China . We got  SHANGHAIED  — Talk about outsourcing. Our nation cut a deal with China to steal , California is spending more than $7 billion building what it says will be an architectural marvel: the new San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. But the state saved a lot of money sending some of the construction work overseas.  At a sprawling manufacturing complex here, hundreds of Chinese laborers were  completing work on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. Well again we all now see the outcome  ***At least 30 of the giant bolts that hold together the new, $6.4 billion eastern span of the Bay Bridge have snapped. As a result, Caltrans is considering replacing all 288 of the bolts on the new bridge before it opens, The Chronicle has learned. Abraham Lincoln once said, "If we buy a ton of steel from England, it will cost us $25. We will have the steel and England will have the $25. But if we buy the ton of steel in America for $30, we will have the money and the steel." I can't remember the exact words, but that's the basics of it. If we spend a little more on buying in America, we will have the jobs as well. It's time to stop the out-sourcing and look into building the American manufacturing industry again. Short term outlooks lead to long term unemployment. This is what happens when you buy materials from China; they're put together by corrupt contractors and corrupt unions and their incompetent, lazy workers; and the project is controlled by the crooks, lunatics, and idiots that run California, Oakland, and San Francisco. The drum roll . The result is a broken bridge that may in part have to be torn down. Engineers are considering several options for making the new span seismically safe, including installing steel collars and a concrete cap design, along with the replacement of the steel rods with another type of material. They suspect the broken rods suffered hydrogen contamination but admitted they may never know the cause. The real issue here is that state agencies like Caltrans (California Department of Transportation) can get away with exploiting Buy America loop holes, running six billion dollars over budget, and all the while shipping construction jobs overseas without having to answer to anyone. This situation is outrageous and it’s critical that we, as a community, use our collective ability to push for change.

NOTES AND COMMENTS:
It's vary curious to know that the bolts'  were  reportedly  which were manufactured in Ohio in 2008, are located near where the new span’s self-anchored suspension span meets its skyway. If you add the 80% foreign manufacturing to 20 % real American steel. America’s steelmakers utilize the most modern, computerized facilities in the world to produce safe, high quality steel.  As theNational Steel Bridge Alliance (NSBA) has pointed out, U.S. firms did indeed stand ready to supply the steel needed for the Bay Bridge.
While the Chinese firm was the lowest bidder, California taxpayers are now paying extra because the imported steel girders proved to be faulty.  As the San Francisco Chronicle has reported, construction of the Bay Bridge has been plagued by delays and cost overruns due to the flawed steel sections imported from China.

The Gun Debate Fact checkers.

The Gun debate will get us nowhere , and why.....
The gun debate has begun . President Obama made an impassioned plea for gun control measures at a rally in Connecticut. Families who lost loved ones in the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School descended on Washington, D.C. to press their case with lawmakers. Senate Republicans on Capitol Hill threaten to prevent gun-control legislation from even coming up for debate as states around the country decide to both strengthen and weaken gun laws.Citizens need to "get the facts," Obama said at the Denver Police Academy in Colorado. "We're not proposing a gun registration system. We're proposing background checks for criminals." The Senate's top Democrat said Tuesday he will force a vote this week on whether to open debate on tougher gun laws, increasing pressure on legislators from both parties negotiating a possible compromise on a package that some Republicans have threatened to filibuster.A GOP filibuster would mean Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid needs 60 votes on Thursday just to begin Senate consideration of the package based on proposals by President Barack Obama. What is shameful is no one was doing anything when hundreds of children have been getting killed by stray bullets in black neighborhoods. But when 20 white kids and some teachers get killed that is when its time for them to act. Newtown is not the main reason but it has to do with all the senseless killings of our children and youth that has been happening in our country for the last decade because of the fetish sense of having a gun/assault weapon. What are you doing with those guns at night?  And how many laws stopped Lanza? ( remember Lanza got his weapons from his parents legally ) Oh that's right none of them. More laws is never the answer if the current ones are poorly enforced. Every major incident has occurred in a gun free zone including fort hood. How many do you count have occurred in police stations? Or anywhere guns are plentiful? I suppose your answer to any problem is more rules even if they are never enforced. Since the Newtown shooting  months ago, the Fact Checker has devoted 14 columns to examining various statistics about guns and gun violence, as well as claims made in pro-gun and anti-gun advertisements.Yet some of these disputed facts keep turning up in the political discourse, and in news reports, even if many of the claims made by both sides simply do not hold up to scrutiny. Most recently, President Obama last week repeated the claim that 40 percent of gun sales lack a background check, even though the Fact Checker, PolitiFact and the Associated Press had pointed out the figure was unreliable. (The president did not, however, repeat the statistic in his most recent speech on gun violence this week.) Here is some historical fact checks on the gun debacle . According to Daniel Vice, senior attorney for the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, Obama has previously said that he supports the renewal of the Federal Assault Weapons Ban, which was signed by President Bill Clinton in 1994 and expired in 2004.  However, after his first year in office, the Brady Campaign gave the Obama administration an "F" on a report card detailing efforts regarding gun control - including reinstating the assault weapons ban. President Ronald Reagan signed a bill into law that banned the manufacture of automatic weapons for sale to civilians. There is absolutely no proof that if we had gun control, gun crime & violence would go down. Violence by guns are off the chart in states such as Illinois & states in the North East, they have the STRICTIST of this country's gun laws. "President Obama ... urged Americans to read the proposals for themselves." That is really hard to do when the people trying to pass the laws are doing everything they can to prevent the Citizens from reading the legislation before it gets passed. New York gave its lawmakers 20 minutes to read the SAFE Act before passing it. Connecticut gave its residents about 6 hours to read its latest gun control law.  This stuff is very, very important. These laws effect every single Citizen of this Nation. This is not something where you can pass the law and then we'll see what you did after you did it.

NOTES & COMMENTS:

At the last Presidential debate :  Romney made an excellent point regarding guns. He mentioned Fast and Furious, the Obama administration's insane program that actually allowed thousands of unsurveilled guns to walk into the hands of Mexican drug lords, and which killed hundreds of innocents. Romney should have pinged Obama on his executive order attempt to cover it all up.

Effects of the Plutocratic System.

If you are a investor sure enough the Stock Market is blooming .  The economy has been tanking for months, yet the stock market keeps setting new highs every day. There is gridlock in Washington, as politicians can’t decide whether they want to raise taxes on their constituents or wean them off government programs Meanwhile, the national debt is at $16.7 trillion and climbing by $3.8 billion every day. Each citizen’s share of the federal debt is a little under $54,000, according to the U.S. National Debt Clock. For the vary rich. The economy is good as far as the  **America plutocratic system goes . Companies that sell discount goods to low-income buyers struggling with lean employment prospects, such as Walmart and Family Dollar, are racking up enormous sales, sending their stock prices higher as they enjoy success from distress. The  War on Poverty  launched 48 years ago, the poor are getting poorer despite the government's help. And the rich are getting richer because of it. As far as jobs ,  88,000 new jobs.  The unemployment rate, because of a terrible statistic, is down to 7.6%. Yes it's slow growth . It however has not slump Wall Street. February, according to a Labor Department report released Friday. It was the slowest pace of growth since last June, and less than half of what economists had expected. Businesses dramatically curtailed hiring in March, according to new government data, raising questions about the underlying strength of the economic recovery as the nation absorbs deep federal spending cuts.In a statement, the White House warned of the impact of what it called Washington’s “self-inflicted wounds.” “While the recovery was gaining traction before sequestration took effect, these arbitrary and unnecessary cuts to government services will be a head wind in the months to come,” said Alan B. Krueger, head of President Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers. Capitalism and the free market system has adopted the Manifest philosophy that basically states that they are the locomotive and the rest of us are just followers. But that is not true. We all are valid and we all have our strengths and weaknesses. The real economic engine is small business. When one small business gets in trouble and folds, there is barely a ripple, but when the big boys fail, others suffer greatly.President Obama knows this. The Republicans know this. The Democrats know this. But they don’t give a rat’s ass, at least very few of them do. They’re on Wall Street’s payroll. Wall Street wins again by sucking main street financially dryer.

NOTES & COMMENTS:
**  Our curent economy is accurately described by investment advisors and marketing consultants as a "plutonomy," a combination of the terms "plutocracy" and "economy." It refers to an economy in which income growth is confined to those at the top of the wealth pyramid. They use the concept as a guide to framing profitable investment and marketing strategies.
The is the mirror opposite of economic democracy, which is an essential foundation of political democracy, both foundational to the Living Democracy of Earth Community.
Bringing democracy to these United States, begins with a new story that acknowledges we have never had it. In the words of Frances Moore Lappe, “To save the democracy we thought we had, we must take democracy to where it’s never been.”
The unemployment rate dropped from 7.7 to 7.6 percent in March, according to data released this morning by the Bureau of Labor Statistics — but that was the good news. The economy only added 88,000 jobs. One particularly interesting data point is the labor force participation rate, basically the percentage of the working-age population who are working or looking for work. As Reuters' Cate Long notes, it's at its lowest point in 30 years. Numbers for February and January were revised up 32,000 jobs and 29,000 respectively, yielding a total change of 61,000 jobs. The average workweek increased 0.1 hour to 34.6 hours. Average hourly earnings increased one cents to $23.83, having increased 42 cents over the year.
