Beating the war drum, Mitt....

Obama gave the same speech in Jerusalem almost to the day four years ago. When did American presidential candidates begin having to make the pilgrimage to Jerusalem to pay fealty to this tiny foreign nation? Reagan never went.
Speaking against the backdrop of the historic Old City, Mitt Romney signaled he supports Israel's right to "defend itself" against its enemies and said "any and all measures" should be considered in the world's efforts to stop Iran from developing a nuclear weapon. I was amazed how Romney is commented to protecting Israel by propagating our nation into another war. I find that Romney's trip to Israel is a bit presumptive . First it seemed to me that he jumped the band wagon on this "tour" as if he has already won the Presidency , he is selling a strong man  ideology to the world. Yet Romney was off on several problems that are plaguing the Middle- East . Second it's been Israeli policy that has made a mess of the peace talks , and it's been Israeli tactics that are putting the Iranian regime on the brink to build the "bomb" . As Americans do we want another war? Is it worth the lives lost in the 'war on terror' and lives lost in Iraq and Afghanistan . Yet the costs of those wars have bankrupted America.  Though a senior adviser, Dan Senor, earlier suggested that Mr. Romney would "respect" an Israeli decision to launch a lone attack, Romney in his speech reiterated the more vague formulation of the Obama administration that "we recognize Israel’s right to defend itself." I am not for any more wars . We have to rebuild our nation because it's crumbling in an  economic situation .So he's saying if you want war with Iran vote for me? Mitt is not running for a Israeli Prime Ministers job, yet he is trying to win the sympathy of Israel , just  great,  this is  what we need to help dig out of this recession.  Trust me I have a beef with Obama . So far I agree that his policy has been "weak" and Confusing in practically  sending Israel mixed messages . The White House Leaks surely prevented an Israeli strike on Iran buy disclosing military information . It's the icing on the cake.

The Christian Science Monitor had this to say from last year:

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the weakest of them all? According to Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, it is President Obama who is endangering American national security – despite the fact that this president increased military spending in each of his three years in office, ordered more drone attacks on the Taliban and Al Qaeda than his predecessor, and took out Osama bin Laden.Obama’s record on military spending is apparently not enough for Romney, who wants to add another $30 billion a year to the Pentagon budget as well as enlist another 100,000 new troops. With two wars winding down and tremendous budget pressures, Obama now wisely seeks more than $450 billion in defense cuts.
Still, one wonders who among the Republicans will be the first to declare that America is facing an “Obama gap” in defense? Watch for it when the GOP candidates again debate national security on Nov. 22 in Washington.

NOTES & COMMENTS:

The most disturbing thing about Romney's trip is his apparent willingness to completely green light a military strike on Iran, which would inevitably result in a war. Not only would Shiite governments like Iraq possibly support Iran, in that case, but Sunnis might as well. If the war expanded, the United States would be dragged in, so we'd have more tax cuts for the wealthy and more war under Romney.

Sound the Alarm Part 2.

California is supposed to be broke. Finding of the hidden money raises eyebrows regarding other departments within the state . Like the Department of Corrections and Education.

My last post I was somewhat showing my displeasure about how the State of California was going to raise money for two of Gov. Brown's plans to expand the Bullet train and Sending water to the south land . Each of these projects alone could cost the state over 200 billion dollars , or close estimate . Now the news is been reporting that  the stunning discovery of 2 billion  just sitting there in a California state parks bank account that not a lot of people knew about.A week after uncovering a hidden-funds scandal at the state parks department, finance officials are now trying to piece together why the balance sheets for similar "special funds" are off by $2.3 billion -- money that appeared to be right under their noses amid California's financial meltdown A blockbuster story in Friday's San Jose Mercury News may be just the tip of the ice berg. They say "billions" of dollars in state money has been found in "hundreds" of different accounts, all in addition the money found in the state parks account. The director of state parks resigned one week ago as a result of the controversy and with the Mercury News report of $2.3 billion in unaccounted money showing up in more than 500 different accounts, the state parks issue may be just a small part of a much larger situation. My question is if that's true that there is "billions" unaccounted for . My speculation is that perhaps there is more money out there sitting there in every state department for corrections to education .The scandal has been a huge embarrassment for the Brown administration, which in campaigning for a November tax initiative had argued that the state was so broke it needed to close dozens of parks.Since the parks scandal broke, no allegations have been made of other departments hiding money, but some lawmakers and others fear this could be the tip of the iceberg. The honor system does not apply to the $96 billion in general-fund revenue. The general-fund budget is the highly publicized and politicized spending plan that uses tax money to keep things like schools and prisons running. May be our state is not broke after all. I am willing to bet that there is at  least a ' Trillion' dollars sitting out there mostly unaccounted for,  hidden away with all the accounting errors.

Sound the Alarm.

Time to  sound the Alarm. Gov. Jerry Brown is going to get tough guy on his expensive new plans in the State of California . We all know of the costly Bullet Train with a whopping    $68 billion . The Staggering costs are now superimposed with another startling plan that's equally outrageous ambitious $24 billion plan for ending the state's water wars was unveiled Wednesday, but standing in its way are unanswered questions and hurdles that will take years to surmount — if that's even possible. Here is a clicker . How is the state going to pay for all this? Is Jerry Brown trying to CON us into thinking that there is not some catch here?  Gov. Brown is eager to tax millionaires , or anyone who earns over 250,000. Yet 'everybody else' is going to see their payroll taxes go up regardless if the Governors November Tax plan goes through . Worse enough Gov. Jerry Brown is 'threatening' public education with further cuts if the Tax plan goes under. The governor said that, if his tax initiative is not approved in November, K-12 schools and community colleges would be cut by $5.5 billion.“Schools will suffer,” said BrownI would take the threat as likely .  That Gov. Brown wants to act  more like a out of control tax and spend liberal.  The low down here is we have a Governor who is holding the education system hostage so he could raise your taxes . I find that a bit ironic that the powerful teacher' union has fallen under the spell of raising taxes .  I don't get it . First I know that Teachers and Public School Admonistrators would fall under a higer tax bracket under Brown's plan . I can yet just see these poeple making such a sacrifice to pay for K-12 funding. They should question Jerry Browns tactics . First I would  suspect that Gov. Brown is going to raise taxes for something else other than the educational system . If he wants his Bullet Train , and water project each is going to coast together over 200 billion dollars . It is likely that his tax hikes are going to be diverted from the k-12 promise . The promised lottery money for schools ,  if one remembers . Was going to raise millions for schools , and it's barely paying for textbooks. This  Prop 30 tax initiative is another con to raise your taxes all in the name of education.

NOTES & COMMENTS:

What everyone is missing is that these people making over $250K per year are California’s small business owners. They employ the lion’s share of workers in California. Perhaps most will not lay off a borderline employee to make the books balance when faced with higher personal income taxes, but it will certainly put a damper on expansion and new hires.
You cannot tax California back to prosperity. California was recently voted as the worst state in the country to do business in. Brown’s Amazon debacle caused the shutdown of 25,000 small businesses in our state. We need lower business and personal taxes to promote small business growth, and prevent small businesses (like mine) from moving to another state (and we are seriously considering it- moving our business to Nevada would net my family almost $40K per year in CA Taxes alone). The only thing keeping us here are our loyal employees, but Brown is rapidly making the equation so one-sided it is inescapable.

the circus begins.....

Colorado mass shooting suspect James Holmes appears in court, July 23, 2012. At right is attorney Tamara Brady, from the state public defender's office. (CBS) Please note the Orange hair . He appears 'dazed' leading some to think drug use . There is an obvious explanation here.

The Media  has begun And so the circus begins.....I will be more than happy to not hear about this guy ever again... . While the massacre will be in the minds of most people in this country , we have to remember that   nation be fixated on sensationalism in this country. Remember O.J.? Remember Casey Anthony?  You all just wait . We going to be plastered  with the latest on this guy . It will build up so much negative energy that something else bigger will dominate and shock the nation. In the meantime things that really matter to the welfare of all citizens are ignored. And so it goes. I am sure that there will be a lot of dirt dug up on him . Psychologists would be profiling him trying to figure out what made him snap . In the end he may not get the death penalty if he can prove insanity. My last two blog postings were on gun control issues and here are two updates from the newswires regarding how Holmes amassed weapons :On Saturday, officials said they have "evidence of calculation and deliberation" in the way Holmes allegedly planned and prepared for the shooting, beginning to buy weapons and ammunition two months ago.Aurora Police Chief Daniel Oates announced Friday that Holmes had purchased four guns at local shops and more than 6,000 rounds of ammunition on the Internet in the past 60 days.Holmes received deliveries to the school and his home over that period, police said ***.Holmes was enrolled in a neuroscience graduate program at the University of Colorado. On Sunday, officials at the school's Anschutz Medical Campus said they are looking into whether Holmes had items delivered to the school. The fact that Items were delivered to a school campus is a bit strange. This only shows how easy it is to obtain weapons in this country . Right Holmes is a subject of conspiracy theorists who believe that he was a subject of some kind of Mind Control . I am  beginning  to believe this . Since the nation over the last decade has experienced massacres , and repeated gun violence .  Important to note is the shooter’s age: he is 24 years old. PolicyMic pundit Daniela Quintanilla pointed out that “Within the last 15 years, the United States has suffered 12 mass shootings that have claimed 262 people, including the Columbine tragedy, the Virginia Tech massacre, and the shooting in Tuscon, Arizona that wounded Congressman Gabrielle Giffords.” What Quintanilla didn’t point out was that every shooter on her list had something in common: they were all males under the age of 25. Rep. Louie Gohmert (R - Texas) said Fridaythat the shooting is the result of the “ongoing attacks on Judeo-Christian beliefs,” though I find that incredibly hard to believe. Other people aredebating the pros and cons of gun control laws. While the Supreme Court recently ruled to protect violent video games, citing the First Amendment and arguing that there is no evidence that violent video games lead people to commit acts of violence, scientists are still trying to determine the effects such games have on developing minds. The gunman was wearing goggles and a gas mask; could the character of Bane have inspired him?

NOTES & COMMENTS:

***  Here is some unreal stuff on Holmes that is now on the internet . It's obvious that James Holmes was a product of his own mental conditioning.  James Holmes Wrote And Made Mind Control Programs. After graduating in 2006, Holmes worked as a student intern at the Salk Institute of Biological Studies and Miramar College’s biotechnology summer boot camp, where “cream of the crop” students were given rudimentary laboratory projects. For his part while at Salk, Holmes wrote in his resume that he designed a computer program to illustrate temporary perceptions of causality and programmed a flicker fusion utility. James Holmes Flicker Fusion Utility.Used in movies and game systems by every day people. Flicker fusion is used in mind control.More Information on what James Holmes Worked On In 1991 a professor emeritus of history at California State University named Theodore Roszak published a novel entitled Flicker. Described as ‘A novel of suspense involving tangled conspiracies and dark obsessions in the mysterious film industry from the author of the highly acclaimed The Making of a Counterculture’ Flicker, a complex mystery set in Los Angeles in the 1970’s, centers around a film student Jonathan Gates and his obsession with a B horror film director Max Castle. This obsession eventually leads Jonathan to discover Castle’s use of subliminal messages, mind control, mood altering imagery secretly embedded into movies with the intent of terrifying the audience.James Holmes also wrote papers on temporary perceptions of causality Temporary Perceptions Of Causality.Seems James Holmes was into mind control and even wrote a program for mind control. The main stream news asked questions like did Mr Holmes ever have a girlfriend. We want to know what he studied and what he wrote. Plus programs Holmes made regarding mind control. Their we will find what has caused this terrible action and who is behind it. It’s very odd that a man who had no problems with law or anyone decided to call himself the Joker and die his hair red and murder people at a movie theater. James Holmes might be the victim of a study gone wrong or purposely made startling to see psychiatrists explaining the James Holmes lived in a fantasy and was just plain crazy which can easily be explained by the work James Holmes did in flicker fusion. The true story of how the discovery of flicker potentials, and scientific observations about strange patterns, organized hallucinations, and even the displacement of time derived from stroboscopic light, very nearly resulted in a Dream Machine in every suburban living room. William S. Burroughs said: “Flicker administered under large dosage and repeated later could well lead to overflow of brain areas … Anything that can be done chemically can be done in other ways.” Aldous Huxley called it “an aid to visionary experience.” Seems James Holmes was indeed part of a mind control system gone wrong or done on purpose. The United Nations treaty to ban weapons in the united States is due for a vote next week. Which would change the US second amendment for ever. Was James Holmes used to bring ridicule to people who owns guns and help pass the treaty to ban weapons in the USA. We now know fast and furious was used to blame the second amendment and to clamp down on gun laws in the united states.
One news reporter said the music James Holmes played the night of the murders was a trance music.

The GUN PARADOX.

A question besides the "economy" will haunt the debate this November . Gun control,  who will have the better solution .

After the Colorado , Aurora theater massacre a lingering question rises that is probably the key question on who will get elected .   Mayor Michael Bloomberg called on President Obama and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney to explain what they would do about gun violence. President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney both have softened their positions on gun restrictions over the years. As they expressed shock and sorrow over the bloodshed at a Colorado movie theater, neither suggested that tougher gun control could make a difference, a notion that has faded from political debate.Romney signed a ban on assault weapons as Massachusetts governor. But as the presumptive Republican nominee, he now bills himself as the candidate who will protect gun owners' rights. While running for Senate in Massachusetts in 1994, Romney supported background checks and a ban on some assault weapons. “That’s not going to make me the hero of the NRA,” he said. Running for governor in 2002, he said, “We do have tough gun laws in Massachusetts — I support them. I won’t chip away at them. I believe they help protect us, and provide for our safety.” You can say that the issue of gun control has been swept aside by the politicians . Piratically  the Democrats over the years have toyed with having laws on the book . I have found that almost every state in the Union along with the Federal laws have enough measures to deal with guns . I am also a bit aghast that regardless of how many laws our nation has it does no good to the effect of gun violence . Obama him self along with Romney both have flipped and flopped about guns , all politicians evolve...they evolve, according to the polls, or there base or the lobbyists or donators...then they evolve back to their beliefs. some just hide their agenda, belief's & plans for change, a little better than others...and then some just out right lie about it!

NOTES & COMMENTS:

Forgetting for a moment scandals such as Fast and Furious, there are four individuals that define Obama’s views of firearms and the second amendment.  Again, true enough. Romney has some explaining to do on the campaign trail.  But understanding why Romney is speaking before the NRA and Obama is not requires only that one understand the people with whom Obama has surrounded himself.  The President cannot pass laws, but the President can do two things that are unique to the office.  He can appoint judges, and he can fill positions in the executive branch of government.Next, consider Obama’s nominee for head of the ATF, Andrew Traver.  John Richardson does a good job of examining the larger aspects of the Traver nomination within the context of his history.  But the single most telling thing about Andrew Traver is his work with the Joyce Foundation, and specifically, his positions in the report entitled Taking A Stand: Reducing Gun Violence In Our Communities.  Among the other onerous regulations on firearms manufacturers and owners, they would require ballistic fingerprinting of all firearms, otherwise called “microstamping.”  But the single most bracing position taken by this study group has to do with federal oversight of the firearms manufacturing industry. This oversight and regulation would involve the Centers for Disease Control, ATF, Justice Department and other federal organizations.  However controlling and oppressive this would be, the third example that should interest us involves Obama nominee for the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, Caitlin J. Halligan, who in her tenure as Solicitor General of the State of New York, attempted to hold firearms manufactures and retailers responsible for crimes committed with guns. In 2006, Halligan also filed a brief arguing that handgun manufacturers were guilty of creating a public nuisance.  This caused an almost incredulous rejection by the New York Court of Appeals.

Here is a bit more to this NOTE :
Fast and Furious. Hundreds dead due directly to ATF allowing firearms to be smuggled to Mexico without (1) informing the Mexican government or (2) having any way to track them once they crossed the border. Best guesses why this was allowed range from complete and utter ineptitude at the highest levels of ATF and DOJ and DEA and DHS, to a conspiracy designed to subvert 2nd Amendment rights “under the radar” with bad publicity about US guns getting to Mexico, to covert support for one drug gang against others, to complete corruption of many of those involved.

BACK TO JAMES HOLMES , THE SHOOTER.

How Holmes acquired weapons . Here is one last antidote .   Holmes, just last May, walked into the Bass Pro Shops store in Northfield and walked out with a glock handgun and 870 Winchester shotgun, no one thought much of it.The guns are commonly sold over the counter to anyone who passes a CBI and FBI background check, as Holmes, who has just a traffic offense on an otherwise spotless criminal record, did.
“Based on the records we have reviewed, personnel in our Denver store correctly and fully followed all Federal requirements with respect to the sale of one shotgun and one handgun to the individual identified in this incident,” said a statement released by Bass Pro Shops. “Background checks, as required by Federal law, were properly conducted, and he was approved.”Holmes purchased a third weapon, a semi-automatic AR-15 assault rifle, at the Gander Mountain store in Aurora just a mile from the movie theater where he allegedly mowed down dozens of unsuspecting moviegoers. That, too, was bought over the counter, after Holmes passed a background check.

The Colorado rampage.

Police tape blocks off a movie theater in Aurora, Colo., where a gunman attacked movie goers on July 20, 2012. (Credit: Thomas Cooper/Getty Images)

The  recent rampage that claimed at least 12 lives at a Colorado theater showing the latest Batman movie is among the deadliest mass shootings in the U.S. in the past 15 years. The toll approaches the 15 killed in the 1999 massacre at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado, about 20 miles (32 kilometers) from Aurora, where today’s shooting occurred during an early morning screening (TWX) of “The Dark Knight Rises.” The deadliest such incident in the U.S. since then is the Virginia Tech rampage of April 2007 in Blacksburg, Virginia, in which Seung-Hui Cho took 33 lives, including his own .A decade ago Michael Moore made a documentary called  Bowling for Columbine . The thesis of the film was  United States of America is notorious for its astronomical number of people killed by firearms for a developed nation without a civil war. sets out to explore the roots of this bloodshed. In doing so, he learns that the conventional answers of easy availability of guns, violent national history, violent entertainment and even poverty are inadequate to explain this violence when other cultures share those same factors without the equivalent carnage. In order to arrive at a possible explanation, Michael Moore takes on a deeper examination of America's culture of fear, bigotry and violence in a nation with widespread gun ownership. Furthermore, he seeks to investigate and confront the powerful elite political and corporate interests fanning this culture for their own unscrupulous gain. Our nation has been  under the banner of fear for a long time.   It's likely that it will continue because our gun laws allow for deranged persons to acquire them.Typical American response which explains why there are more killings in the US than in any other country on this planet. Americans are hopelessly in love with guns. We constantly hear of gang shootings in Oakland . Criminals are armed , and the law is weak and paralyzed by liberalism.  Automatic weapons for instance , as to why they are sold along with army style assault weapons staggers the mind . We have laws on the book that if they were enforced they would be difficult to get . There again you would have to profile those that buy such weapons . If the government can't figure what a 'loner type' goes and buys a automatic assault weapon that should prove otherwise that he not going to hunt lions and elephants .Yes, and the reason why this tragedy happens is because any idiot can go buy a gun.  There is more news about family killing family or strangers killing strangers than someone actually being able to defend their property or self.  Things are going to get worse as the economy worsens. People are going crazy and nothing is worse than a gun with someone gone crazy.

NOTES & COMMENTS:

The Media on the left is already trying to hook up the shooter with the TEA PARTY > ABC reported . " James Holmes who was arrested at the Aurora theater was 24 years old and seems to be from Denver, CO, according to a Facebook profile. There are many people with the name “James Holmes” in the area, and the James Homes on the Tea Party website could match a James Homes from Aurora, CO who is in his fifties and therefore does not fit the description of the suspect."
I don't think that Holmes was connected to terrorism , but it seems strange that he had a stash of weapons , ammo and bomb making equipment at his apartment . Which required a robot to carefully enter his apartment investigate trip lines to a bomb.

Bitz about Zimmerman and Syria.

 George Zimmerman.

FOX news interview with George Zimmerman sparked some controversy last night . Lingering questions still remain as what did really happen before the gun went off.

You ever had your hands full as far as news ( and events ) and can't keep up with it . I am getting to enjoy my role on giving a direct comment about things as they pop up . The Most interesting stuff has been lately two items. Each of them needs careful investigation . Don't jump to conclusions  . Last night I watched FOX news . There was a hands on interview with  George Zimmerman. Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder in the February 26 death of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed 17-year-old who had been walking through Zimmerman's neighborhood the evening of February 26. Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer who was carrying a pistol, has said he killed Martin in self-defense during a struggle.Prosecutors say Zimmerman, who is Hispanic, racially profiled the African-American Martin and ignored a police dispatcher's advice to avoid a confrontation. The case drew national attention because police did not bring charges against Zimmerman in the immediate aftermath of the shooting, saying the circumstances required further investigation.During the Fox interview, Zimmerman expressed his regrets to Martin's parents, but insisted that "I'm not a racist, and I'm not a murderer." He said he can't now second-guess what happened, adding, *** "I feel it was all God's plan.". What was on my mind how ever is that FOX news may have raised questions on what actually happened on the night that Zimmerman had his fatalistic encounter with Trayvon Martin. There is enough evidence for me that Trayvon Martin was up to something . He was not just visiting a girlfriend that night EVIDENCE has otherwise shown that Zimmerman was attacked , who threw the first punches I think is still a matter of debate . If I had King Solomon's wisdom here , and were to put a judgement on this case I personally would hold the Sanford Police Department responsible to a degree. There was a 9-11 call from  Zimmerman's cell phone reporting Trayvon Martin. The police should have gone out to investigate what was going on . At least this action could have prevented Zimmerman from using a gun on Martin  . This tragedy could have been prevented . There is enough documented evidence what happened  that night . Lack of action lead to desperate act .  Sure enough as I said about this on my last posting . That Zimmerman may have went out of his way to prevent what he suspected to be a crime or suspicious person , he should have waited for the law . Then again what LAW? The gun went off and we have now we have  an item on our news that already overblown.

SYRIA.

Syrian Rebels are looking more and more like terrorists , rather than liberators.

@Just who is killing Syrians out in the streets? If you seen the video footage on the news. It shows rebels shooting . I have not seen not one loyal Syrian Army officer loyal to the regime , or footage of one shooting at the rebels . There has been so much western media coverage of the chaos in Syria that America (the world ) may be getting the wrong info . Some of the video images of the fighting that was shot by some of the western news media has shown reporters close to the action of the violence on the rebels side . The images are hard to make out for one . It appears that the rebels are shooting at "unidentified" snipers which are uncharacteristic of a disciplined- professional  army . If this is not Assad's army . Who is it? There is much speculation that now that It had all the hallmarks of an Al Qaeda operation. Usually the United States and the UK go bananas when an Al Qaeda–style operation occurs anywhere in the world. The suicide bombing (or not) that wiped out a chunk of Syria’s top security team, including the defense minister and deputy defense minister, who was also President Assad’s brother-in-law, may or may not tip the balance in Damascus toward a crumbling of the regime. Other officials have been named to fill the jobs of those killed, and the early consensus is that Assad’s government will hold together, at least for now. But fighting has started in and around Damascus itself, and there is a steady stream of (mostly Sunni) defections from the Syrian army and security forces. Al Qaeda jumps into this chaotic picture . If you get my theory . The Syrian rebels including the recent massacre of children was the work of actual terrorists rather than the Assad Army . It's the filibuster to me that our western media is "brainwashing" us to think that it's the evil (-western  looking dictator )  was  ordering mass killings of his people. With all the bombs and bullets flying . YOU CAN'T TELL who IS SHOOTING WHOM any More!   Right now Syria looks like a mess caught between American interests and Russian interests . Russia and China have repeatedly voted for no sanctions.  Another point here is that the Syrian rebels are killing Christians ! Christians are being forced out of their homes because they support Assad's regime . Completely failing to condemn the suicide bombing which killed several senior Syrian officials in Damascus today, the Obama White House instead lauded the attack as a sign that the “window is closing” on Assad’s regime. While Obama and Hillary have been quick to denounce claims of violence carried out by Assad’s forces with vitriolic gusto and emotive humanitarian condemnation, today’s deadly bombing was met with thinly veiled glee. The White House says violence is not the answer in Syria but attack on Assad’s inner circle shows “window is closing.”   In other words, while claiming violence is not the answer, the Obama administration simultaneously upholds the suicide bombing carried out by terrorists as a rhetorical threat against the Assad regime---Utter hypocrisy!

NOTES & COMMENTS:
*** "I feel it was all God's plan.".
I think Zimmerman's comment about God's  plan in this is like saying , " I am not my brother's keeper".
@ SYRIA Is likely a dangerous area as far as the Arab Spring goes . I almost feel that overthrowing the Assad government could in effect put Pro- Islamic fundamentalism in charge of the country . The American west is viewing the rebels as if they are pro democratic  fighters . Ignoring the fact the some of the massacres are the work of the rebels themselves.

Bernanke's fiscal cliff.

Bernanke is America's fiscal genius . Are his warnings worth for Congress to act?

Time for more stimulus money . Recently   Bernanke said to the Senate Banking Committee that if Congress didn't reach a compromise, a "fiscal cliff" could occur. That is, the combination of tax increases and spending cuts that are scheduled to begin at the end of the year could inhibit economic growth. "The reduction in the unemployment rate seems likely to be frustratingly slow," and "Congress is in charge here, not the Federal Reserve," he said.  My view the Nation is already fiscally off a cliff. First of all the drought that is sweeping the American bread basket is alarming , soon it's going to drive the price for food and fuel up the cliff . While every thing else going down . Perhaps we need another round of cash to flow back into the system. Years back I made a comment that sounded like this . 'Why won't the Feds just print more money'. Yikes . I did not know that  ( the Feds )  have for the last decade printing more money because the Dollar (U.S.) was loosing it's value world wide . Bernanke has been hailed as Obama's genius . The Man who saved the American economy . So much his approach for Congress to act has been regrettably late in coming . For much of the year, economists worried about the impact of the slowdown in Europe on the U.S. economy. Now, analysts say anxiety about the impact of the fast-approaching fiscal cliff — the series of federal spending cuts and tax hikes set to take effect at the beginning of 2013 if Congress and the Obama administration do not act — is displacing Europe as the primary threat to the nation’s sputtering economy. As far Jobs , and creating Jobs in America I do not want to sound pessimistic, but yesterday there was an article in Washington Post linked from the liberal Slate that predicted (and quite convincingly) that the manufacturing jobs are simply NOT coming back. You just cannot tell a business owner to be patriotic and lose money by manufacturing here inside USA. The jobs will be in China and India - cheap labor. No matter what happens, and how much mindless rantings continue on this and other blogs, jobs that are gone are gone forever. In such times, which is inevitably very painful, the issue is what holds in the future ? Like it or not, technology is also a major but silent, unnoticed culprit. The Slate article made the claim that automation has reduced the need for human capital. Where it was necessary to have 10 people, you can now get by with 2 people. Thus, you can surely blame advancements in technology and wireless technology for loss of jobs. On top of that jobs which can now be done inside USA thus need more skills that we can ever imagine. So, it is not all Obama's fault to be fair.
